Not only are they unapologetic, but more often than not, downright rude, incommunicative, and squirrely about their programs, classes, availability, etc. Now, it was only $50, and I understand on refunds under any circumstance whatsoever forever and ever amen. But come on, if you don't offer refunds and you don't have availability for the foreseeable future, maybe don't keep on selling classes. I would love a refund or at least an acknowledgement, but nothing. Even Safe Splash offered refunds and were apologetic when their pool broke over March. They notified us right away and kept us in the loop then refunded our money (without us asking). Not sure why pods continuines to enroll new students, but I have to say, I'd recommend staying away.

The teacher would not let her out of the pool to use the bathroom, even while she was crying and asking repeatedly. She was forced to do skills she wasn't comfortable with, ignored despite another teacher trying to intervene, and left screaming and visibly distressed. This all happened because Pods enrolled her incorrectly. I did not ask for a refund--only that the remaining classes be saved as a credit. Instead, the director ignored my actual request, copied and pasted the no-refund policy, and advised me that they reserve the right to change teachers at any time--which was not what I was disputing. The issue was their administrative error and how it was handled. She ultimately stopped responding altogether. They kept our $90 and showed zero accountability or concern for a young child's well-being. I absolutely do not recommend Pods Swimming.

So I wanted to wait a while after I joined this gym to write a review. I've been going here for…read moreabout 4 months now + I've tried everything but the pool. The staff are really nice here + the facilty is recently renovated + looks pretty good. It is a bit small + quaint... + well lets be honest.... a little overpriced now a days with all these $10/month gyms. I joined because of the classes. The classes are OK--- belly dancing is fun... but i didn't break a sweat! there is a great bootcamp class on Monday nights. Wish it was more than once a week! I also wish that they had classes starting around 5:30pm more often for people who work in the area that want to get the gym out of the way right after work or lunch time classes. The classrooms are really small so they can get packed-- HOLY YOGA SPOON FEST. so cramped but that is because the instructor is really great. The spinning room is also VERY VERY SMALL and cramped. They are trying their best with the space they have. They work out area is small + a lot of the equipment is on its way out. they do have some newer ellipticals + treadmills with tvs on them if that's yo thang! If you need a lil local gym time, this is your kinda place!

My initial sentiments had the fortunate padding of coming at the end of a string of writing…read morepositive reviews. Knocking another star off because of a sad fact I was reminded of at one of my recent nightly workouts. Some of the personal trainers are an absolute displeasure to share the room with. As I always do (and as is considered polite in a crowded gym) when it is unclear if a person is using a piece of equipment I would like to get on, I asked one of them politely if they were using the machine next to them. The response I got was "Are you kidding me? If I was I would've yelled at you." I was literally taken back, there was no need for such a snarky response to a complete stranger asking a question aimed to be considerate. They also dash from area to area, taking up egregious amounts of this poor excuse of a weight room's already limited real estate with their one or two clients. All of this is done in a fashion that has caused me to almost get hit by weights and body parts while sitting still (in most cases while already having moved my equipment to be more accommodating to them). There are other paying patrons here besides your clients, please treat the area as such. **I would like to clarify that the above does not apply to the general staff, which is always friendly and helpful. Always a hello on the way in, a goodbye on the way out, and happy to answer any questions you may have. Another note on the locker rooms - there is almost always a crowd of kids just hanging out in there, taking up large amounts of the extremely limited space in this dingy, disgusting locker room. In addition to sitting around on their phones and video games for what seems like at least 45 mins at a time, they run right into the changing area soaking wet, making the floor a disgusting and slippery mess.

There is usually a wait for the changing rooms after class and it can be hard to get two seats together. The seats are also kind of on top of each other. Water safety is a huge priority for me and my son is building skills rapidly. Since starting he is building confidence with floating, treading water and swimming. All of the instructors have been kind, patient and truly meeting the swimmers where they are at. I have witnessed the coaches calm the fears of anxious swimmers and cheer on kids of all abilities. (We LOVE Ms. Kristy and Mr. George.) All staff seem to have a smile on and genuinely enjoy their day. The classes are small (I believe 4 children each class with 1-2 instructors) so swimmers are given lots of 1:1 attention. The facility is clean, brightly decorated with ample big changing rooms for families, hair dryers, showers and swimsuit drying machines. It is simple to reschedule a make-up on the app and check on your child's progress over the weeks with specific skills. One amazing perk is you can roll a make-up lesson into a family swim which is great to include other siblings that might not be in lessons or a family member that can't attend. It was painless to pause our lessons with a 30 day notice and no strings attached. My children love the cute play area, the option to buy snacks at the end of class and the weekly prizes at the front desk. Goldfish also is connected to the community and engaged in fundraisers and local events which is important to me. I was hesitant to sign up for Goldfish because I had a subpar experience at another swim school with difficulty scheduling classes, not enough changing rooms and overcrowded spaces--- but Goldfish has thought of it all and it is a positive experience week after week. Friends we have encouraged to join and other families I have chatted with during lessons have shared similar positive experiences. We truly look forward to our time at Goldfish and the lifelong skills built!

This location is no exception, although the facilities and equipment have definitely seen better days. The staff seem to be trying their best to inject some life into the location. There is still a lot to appreciate here: a jacuzzi, dry sauna, women's steam room, pool, basketball court, and racquetball courts. Their current condition, however, is a different story. The group exercise classes are solid, with options for nearly every fitness level and type of workout. Most of the Group X classes at this location use MOSSA programming. They are challenging enough to provide a good workout, but still approachable and beginner-friendly. At the same time, a facility offering this range of amenities is probably costly to operate and maintain. This location, in particular, is overdue for meaningful investment and modernization. The membership has increasingly shifted toward an older demographic, perhaps because of the emphasis on wellness and recovery. Families appear to come mainly for the pool, while younger members gravitate toward the basketball court. The racquetball courts have seen better days and have now been converted into multifunctional spaces, which is a bit sad. Evening group classes that once drew large crowds now rarely exceed five participants, with one or two exceptions. The morning classes are killing it, in contrast. The range of fitness equipment is comprehensive. There is a machine for almost every type of functional training or exercise, but much of it is very dated. It is almost a chicken-and-egg question. Would renovating and investing in the facility attract a new group of members who could help sustain the business, or does the gym first need to attract those members to afford the renovation? That seems to be where this location stands at the moment. For me, things are still good enough that I continue to go, but they could certainly be better.

Classes are amazing. Instructors are knowledgeable and give lots of options during class.read more
