They have with few exceptions only one working model of everything so you better hope someone else isn't trying for the working erg, treadmill, or upright bike. Lastly, other RI AF locations are great. There is no hands-on effort or character behind this location. Case in point: instead of executing on friendly energetic staff hours at peak times to enforce tailgating, they have invested in their creepy big brother security system to badger and bully people in the name of a "secure facility" which is a hilarious joke for the unsuccessful effort they make.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. They are always looking to improve. A little pricier than other gyms in the area - if you aren't going to attend any classes, I am not sure if the added expense would be worth it. But if you like gym classes at all.... There are plenty of machines, a room for women only, and from what I've seen it's never been too busy. 426 looks like a big warehouse, but they've done a really nice job with it. The manager, Paul, is also very nice - you can get a free 3 day pass to try out the gym and there are a ton of different priced membership/qasi-membership options depending on what you want to use the gym for. The owners of the club are very friendly, and take the time to make you feel at home. Not to mention, members here are relatively courteous and respectful. Great Communication, too. If there is something that is not right... they usually post that they are addressing it on one of the many boards located around the club. The equipment types and variations are very broad. I'd find it very hard to believe that if there's an exercise that you wish to perform, that with what they have available, it's possible. I've been to gyms in the past and had to work out on ripped and torn pads, squeeky or loose pulley systems, to dirty dumbbells. Waiting and waiting for that one bench that someone is hogging for 45 minutes while they are on a cell phone. That does not seem to exist here. Everything they have is in very good condition and are well taken care of. This gym doesn't usually get all that busy, especially during peak times (4-6pm). There is usually ample space and machines are typically free when you need them. I've never personally had an issue. This is one of the cleanest gyms, if not the cleanest, which I feel is very important, and judging by how other members are careful to clean machines, it's also important to them as well. In the meantime, she was accepted into another school. Despite not finalizing enrollment or giving consent, we were still charged. The owner had assured us that no charges would be made without our approval, yet he went ahead anyway. He later emailed claiming he would issue a refund by check, but that never happened. He continues to claim we gave consent and that the refund was processed--neither of which is true. We never agreed to anything, never signed paperwork, and never received our money back. This place is only interested in taking your money and will say anything to justify it. Avoid at all costs!

There's no real education provided because the "Waldorf" method of observational learning is what most children receive at home anyways (observing adults clean, cook, iron clothes etc.). It's nice they spend so much time outside; however, having children eat breakfast early in the morning on frigid winter days is just unnecessarily miserable (to name one example). The director suddenly left for weeks and the woman, Stephanie, who was appointed to replace her didn't seem to have any real qualifications. At drop-off and pick-up I also noticed issues with Helen/Mr. Carl and Stephanie treating the other employees poorly. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.
