The staff couldn't be more friendly. I was visiting from out of town, and bought a guest pass. Best decision I made all day.

Though I've seen a cardio sign up board at the East Side Y, I've gone at various times of day and never had to wait to get on cardio equipment.

It is posted to "not record" but apparently people don't care. True story I was doing curls in the mirror and two bros came up next to me, one on each side. They started to tape one another as well as myself because I was sandwiched between them. After one bro was done with his set he requested to view the video from the other bro. " dude you didn't get my traps at the peak, you gotta get them at the peak". This kind of behavior is invasive to anyone who doesn't want to be video taped. The equipment is top notch. Best around in my opinion, but it's so squished together that smashing your knees and elbows into equipment is a common theme. More importantly the bathroom doors have been broken in the men's for for years. Come on guys, it's an easy fix. The staff is super friendly and the place is clean. Lastly, the snow removal is a joke. Shovel a path into the gym from the side lot, it only takes a few minutes.

However, what we learned is there were no benefits to adding family members to the current membership. The price is the same, each family member pays the same price for gym maintenance, so no break there. Each family member is bound by their own separate contract, so no transferring benefits among family members. Lastly, if one of the family members needs to cancel their contract, you have to buy out the remaining contract and it can not be transferred to another family member without a fee. Ultimately, do not get fooled, there is NO benefit to adding a family member. Norton Mgr. Tyler is not helpful or customer oriented. BTW - we pay an annual fee for maintenance and on any given day there are at least 5-6 machines out of service.

Now my fiancé and I wanted to get in shape for our wedding next year and we knew we had to start now. I chose PE fitness studio because it had the ambiance I wanted, a comfortable setting to work out that was a typical gym. They host small group classes and one on ones, so you won't catch some creep in a machine in the corner slowly moving while staring at you. Perfect. Not looking to go to a gym. I need someone to motivate me to not quit and just sit there. Laurel suggested we start with 20 half hour sessions with me and my fiancé. I couldn't commit so I agreed on 15 but will definitely be buying more. She motivates me by chatting me up about my favorite topics to get me forget about the agonizing pain in my butt as I squat across the room. You think 30 mins isn't a lot, but when you mix in cardio and the deathly push ups, trust me, it is. Laurel is a sweetheart and doesn't let me quit! The other day she threatened me with burpees if I tried to cheat on my across the room squats, aka I ran halfway across the room when she wasn't looking! Laurel is a sweetheart and soooooo flexible with scheduling. I 100% suggest one on one training with her. It's pricier than a gym but let's be honest, you weren't going to the gym. You're less likely to cancel when you have a wonderful sweet woman waiting on you!!! Did I mention she has an adorable pit bull puppy and she texts me photos of him all the time??? Because she does! She also checks in the next day to see how you're doing. This warm renovated mill Is the best place to force yourself to do something that we all know I 100% don't want to do! Join join join!!!!! You've never felt so at home!!

This space seems pretty optimized and the layout of machinery, type of machinery, and quality of equipment reflects the owners knowledge and experience in the fitness industry. This gym is also typically not crowded, which is why I continue to go here. The only thing I have ever complained about are the smelly nasty sanitizing wipes members are meant to use to wipe down the equipment. UPDATE: HE REPLACED THEM AND NOW WE SMELLING AMAZING. A++. The owner is around regularly and he is always observed cleaning the facility and machines. I'm pretty independent as a gym goer when I'm training, so I can't speak to anything about personal trainers or whatever else is offered.

I believe in the near future my group is planning to make a switch with a fam account. So walking in you have a nice concierges who check in your member and or guest. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. My brother has a membership and brought me to the second floor. They had all the equipment you'd probably need we did leg day. Lotta cables, smiths, assisted. Saw the basketball court (didn't see the pool) went to third floor checked out the spin cycle room and yoga studio. Went to the turf area for push sled and squat racks. Def has everything for the most part. Would come back again. Very spacious. Some of the machines seem to have quite a bit of years on them but as long as they work, it's all good. The locker rooms were huge, hot tub sauna and steam shower at this location, no cold baths that i saw. I think with the different tier solo and fam plans plus access to pool, hoops and unlimited classes, it makes sense it's cost, just wish it was lower like in some other markets (states) haha. Will be back! Thanks for the workout!

I was very specific about the techniques and cut I wanted and was assured they could handle it. When I arrived, I was told my appointment had been switched to a "more experienced" stylist. Her previous client was unhappy with her color, so instead of focusing on my appointment, the stylist kept going back and forth, working on that client's color while also cutting my hair. She completely ignored me, barely consulted with me, and kept insisting the haircut I wanted "wasn't that hard," as if I was making a big deal over nothing. The result was a terrible haircut that was not what I asked for at all. At first I thought I might be overreacting and tried to give it time, but months later my hair is still completely messed up and uneven from that cut. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially before such an important event. Terrible customer service and I would not return or recommend this salon

I'm lucky enough to have flexible hours and work from home that k attempt to avoid crowds. Gym anxiety is here is average for anxious friends out there. I had only a couple of bad experiences like being told by an instructor that I cannot wear my noise canceling earbuds. I was so overwhelmed because i was called out that I ran out in tears. I was brave enough to speak to a trainer who I worked with briefly and they helped me greatly in letting me know the actual rules here. Trainers are very kind and will help! Be mindful that regular X classes are instructors not employed directly by the edgy gym and don't always follow protocol or get a bit power hungry? Or set up their own rules I guess. The trainers who work at the gym and are way more helpful and will find ways to help you in any aspect. Be brave enough to ask!
