I recently visited this library for the first time in order to see my friend's abstract art exhibit. This library is spectacular. It has a large collection of whatever you are looking for. I am so enamored with the building, the collection, the space, and of course, local artists being able to exhibit their art for the public here. This is a very comfortable place to hang out with your friends and your family and just relax and enjoy the library materials. It is also attached to a very large center with a Bristol Farm and many little shops that you can get food, drinks, or desserts. My friend, Liberty Dickinson's art is currently on display until May 2, 2025. I have pictures of her display at the library, but it is so much more impressive in person. I look forward to seeing her collection one more time and also coming back and looking at the new art exhibitions that will be in place in the future. There is plenty of parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

I have been coming here for many years now and still love this library especially the children's area. Great selection of books, toys, large play area and the staff at the children's area are LOVELY. I am updating my review to include the terrible customer service and attitude from the staff right by the book return area / the entrance of the children's area. That desk is usually manned by 2 staff and most times they are laughing and chatting among themselves. As soon as you walk up to them for help their demeanor changes and they become rude and mean, treating you like you are doing something wrong. This has happened to me a couple of times and it is the only off putting thing about the library. I wish they'd be more relaxed and positive to customers.

My favorite library in OC! Be advised that this branch is part of the Newport Beach Public library system, so the card from OC Public Libraries won't work here. You can still sign up for a free library card at the front desk as long as you bring your ID. The library is very clean, and they have a great collection of books, e-books, and other resources. They have conference and study rooms you can book ahead of time, and they also sell used books downstairs some mornings. Best part is some parts of the library have an ocean view.

Beautiful library with a beautiful art walk outside. I've always really liked this library. Knowing they have free movies here makes it even better. Read more books! Happy Yelping!

For Review #476, oh crap! I've miscounted. I'd like it to land here at 'Newport Beach Public Library,' and wow!!!! This Is like The Most beautiful local libraries Out in the South OC area that I have ever explored. I went further out from 'Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar,' last trip so I also drove down Newport Beach City Hall where the Community Library was. I soooo borrow books here all the time if I lived in the OC area..... It's not far from either the Corona Del Mar Plaza or 'Crystal Cove Shopping Center,' either. I'll do be back in a flash! I can just drive down here on the next upcoming weekends or another next long weekend. What a beauty! I have taken a video somewhere stored in my camera roll. Gotta look for that.

This is the most impressive library I have ever been in, it looks like it is from a college campus. It is absolutely exceptional. I love it.

I loved seeing the sculpture that will be at Burning Man this year. The garden is on the smaller size for a botanical garden (some stuff was under maintenance while we were there) but the gardens were impeccable. My favorite part was all the dahlias. Stunning! Your entry ticket ($12 for adults) also includes admission to the library, which had a bonsai area and some fun history. We were able to easily find free parking nearby. All the staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the work. I definitely recommend this spot! Such a beautiful, relaxing space.

Beautiful still. We came the day before Mother's Day for the rose show. Looking forward to coming back when construction completes because at $5 admission that is kind of a rip for how much is there. It took us longer because I recognized someone at the rose show and my son is really into plants but for an average person I'd say 30-45 min is really how much is there right now until they finish the remodel

You will probably not find a quieter place to study at UCI. Each floor is equipped with study tables and desks, for students and the casual reader alike. Computers are also available for those without laptops. From what I have seen, UCI updates these computers every few years, to keep up with technology advances that newer software demands. The library has several locations where you can fill up on water and use the restroom. But it is best to navigate the library yourself to find these locations, because sometimes it is easy to get lost. My favorite places to study are the fourth and fifth floor tables, across from the giant windows facing the trees and walkway. People don't usually talk, so you can enjoy some quietude on these floors. If you need to take a break from your studies or reading, take a walk outside and enjoy the architecture, or the sculptures outside depicting the life of intellectual labor. One thing to note is that due to the scandal Dr. Ayala was involved in, with regards to sexual harassment, UCI decided to remove his name from this library. For now, it is just called the "Science Library."
