Excellent customer service. I'm in and out faster than I can get anything done at WrongAid. They remember us and value our business.

Dr. Hattan is an exceptional doctor. He corrected a misdiagnosis by a previous quack doctor I…read morevisited who suggested unnecessary surgery and has numerous terrible Yelp reviews from people being maimed by botched surgery at his hands. Dr. Hattan was the opposite, and he was not only professional in every area, but actually HIGHLY EXPERIENCED and actually CARES about his patients (and follows the Hippocratic Oath as all doctors should). Dr. Hattan not only corrected my issue with thoughtfulness and care, but followed up personally to make sure I recovered well. There's a reason he's considered a highly regarded doctor in Newport Beach. My advice to all people considering medical treatment from a surgeon: do your research. Read reviews (especially the bad ones) so you can make an informed decision. Your feet are supposed to carry you through life, and the wrong doctor will literally ruin your life. Thank you to Dr. Hattan and his team for great care. (Just one suggestion to Dr. Hattan, though: Sir, you might want to yell at your team less. I've learned in my illustrious career as a business owner that it's better to just lower your staff's bonuses, instead, if they're doing a bad job. Yelling only reduces YOUR credibility and causes your blood pressure to rise, which none of us wants, especially a doctor). But I digress. When you're a surgeon who is as good as Hattan is, you can yell all you want, and I'll still always go to him. Great job from a great doctor who understands his craft well, even if his bedside manner is slightly lacking.

I had an ankle wound problem, so went to Hoag wound care, where I spent a miserable 2 months with a Dr. that should not be there and no results. Not one to normally leave reviews, but this feels necessary…read more On March 12, I scheduled an appointment specifically with Dr. Haupt--his first available was March 31 at 1:30 PM. I arrived at 1:35, filled out the short new patient paperwork in under five minutes, and then sat... and waited. Over an hour later, I asked the front desk how much longer it would be. She said, "We have two doctors today--you're next to see Dr. Haupt." About 15 minutes later (nearly an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment time), I was brought to a room. A medical aide briefly went over why I was there and said the doctor would be right in. Then a doctor entered--not Dr. Haupt. She was friendly and professional, and I initially thought maybe she was a resident working under him. I expected he'd join at some point. He didn't. Instead, she left to ask him how to handle my case--whether to get ahold of my old x-rays or send me for new ones. She came back and said they'd skip x-rays entirely and base the custom orthotics on numbers I had told them. That felt strange for a first-time visit involving custom made orthotics, but I went with it. I also showed her a mild toenail fungus, and she said they had an OTC product in-office I could buy. When the aide returned to do my casting and take payment (my insurance doesn't cover orthotics), I mentioned the OTC product so I could pay for everything together. That's when she said, "Oh yeah... we're out of that." No one mentioned it to me. Glad I brought it up. While waiting for the cast to set, the aide scheduled my follow-up and said the orthotics would take eight weeks--though I was originally told six by the "resident", possibly sooner. The aide said they might try to expedite. I asked how long the next appointment would take (since this one had already taken nearly three hours), and she said about 20 minutes. I then asked if I'd be seeing Dr. Haupt next time, since I never saw him today. She said she'd make a note. I told her not to bother--if he didn't care to see his new patient today, why should I see him next time? At this point, he knew nothing about me. I may as well stick with the "resident" I was pawned off to--without warning. The aide couldn't explain why I wasn't informed that I wouldn't be seeing the doctor I scheduled with when just minutes before being taken back, I was told I was "next to see Dr. Haupt." Imagine my surprise when I never did. It wasn't until I got home and looked up the "resident" I saw that I realized she wasn't a resident after all--she's a completely separate podiatrist. No one told me that. I left extremely frustrated. I called my husband, and we agreed I should cancel the orthotics order and request a refund. That conversation was just as disappointing. The manager never introduced herself, never asked questions, never apologized, and showed the same impersonal, dismissive energy as the rest of the office staff. She said she needed the doctors approval to bypass the system and issue a refund--you know, the doctor I never saw--and that she'd call me back today. She didn't. I ended up calling back two minutes before the office closed just to follow up. I was told the refund would be processed. Now I wait and see if that's actually true. At least the aide and the doctor I did see were personable. That's about the only positive thing I can say. Bottom line: This office feels outdated, communication is terrible at best, and no one seemed to care. I'll absolutely be going elsewhere--and I strongly recommend others do the same. Bonus update: I spoke with my primary care physician--the one who referred me to Dr. Haupt. He was livid and genuinely embarrassed he sent me there. He said Dr. Haupt will be removed from his referral list immediately and will make sure no one else in his office recommends this practice again.
