I had an FUE Hair transplant in July 2021 from a Doctor in Newport Beach and while the transplant did help give me more hair on my crown and hairline, It did not give me the density I was hoping for. My hair still looked thin and pretty sparse in a lot of areas. I went back to my transplant doc and he recommended a second session which I did not want to do. I did some research and found Newport SMP for a possible option to help with density. I had an initial consult with Nurse Jenn who did a great job of educating me on everything that was involved and answered all my questions. I waited almost a year; comparing different companies and going back and forth with myself debating what to do. Since the density treatment was a more extensive process and a larger investment I decided to first start with the Eye Brow micro-blading for men which was another area that I was self conscious about. Before finding them, I didn't even know this type of service existed. Juno, was amazing. Very kind, patient and meticulous which made me feel more at ease. Since this would be on my face and very visible, my main request was to help give me the appearance of thicker eyebrows with out having it look like I had anything done. Mission accomplished! After the eyebrow session went so well I decided I wanted to go through with the density treatment too at some point. I waited several more months before deciding to finally do go through with it. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Nurse Jenn! I'll start off by saying she has a very soft touch for what she does. I am sure you have seen the videos but basically she puts thousands and thousands of micro dots on your scalp to fill in bald spots. In my situation she had to thicken my frontal hair line which she used a ruler and measures the perfect hair line for my face. There is minor pain in the entire procedure but she does offer a numbing cream if needed. Jenn has a extensive background in nursing and working in the medical field which explains her patience of working 8 hours on ones head. The results totally blew away my expectations. I waited three years before booking with Jenn. Don't wait. At minimum schedule a consultation. You'll get straightforward advice and the right options for you. After several smaller hair transplants going back to the late 80's I had great results, but not the density I wanted in the hairline. My concern going in was whether smp would look too obvious in the hairline and wreck an otherwise decent transplant result. I'd had previous smp on old FUT scars in the back with OK but not great results. I wouldn't trust those providers with hairline density. The artistry of the provider is the key, and Jenn has proven over and again that she is a consummate artist. I had three procedures on the hairline and FUT scars in the back. The results shocked me, looking at the before/after photos on Newport SMP's social media pages. Not just subtle -- completely undetectible but at the same time making the areas of sparse-ish density totally disappear. I didn't realize HOW GOOD and HOW SUBTLE at the same time the results turned out until I saw the before and after photos posted after I'd finished. I'm in my early 60's and no longer concerned about further erosion. And if anything, the results will look even better as I continue to grey. The procedures for me were painless - don't give that any thought. And Jenn was communicative before and throughout the procedures, really conveying confidence in her craft and support for the patient. Hair loss an be a sensitive, even embarrassing topic for men to talk about, but she makes sure her clients are as comfortable and confident in the process as possible. LADIES I wanted to take the time to let you know how grateful I am for my density treatment. My good friend referred me to Newport SMP after my second pregnancy and my hair began to thin. My hair was shedding and I started to panic, being in the pageant industry all my life, the thought of losing my hair was so stressful and time consuming. So many good things to say about Jenn, Juno and the team at Newport SMP! I had a very unnecessary hair transplant 2 years ago at the age of 25. I was fooled into thinking I would receive a full head of hair. After my transplant even with hair loss treatment, my hair continued to thin and fall out. I decided it was time to take the jump, shave my head and get FUT scar treatment. Jenn was extremely patient throughout the entire process, even though I was a bit stressed about it all... because I had major regrets about my HT. My scar is probably about a foot long overall. It turned out I had super sensitive skin so we had to take extra time between sessions. Jenn was very professional, knew exactly what to do and how long to wait to let my skin heal. And probably had to talk me off the ledge 50 times and she did it gracefully each time. Jenn let me use the red light a few times a week to assist my sensitive skin to heal. I am ecstatic with the results - my hair looks fuller and thicker - without having to do hair transplant. The practice was excellent. Shawna was patient and understanding in walking though the density treatment (4 of them) with me and the rationale for every aspect of the treatment, with excellent bedside manner. Newport SMP has a friendly and professional staff. Nurse Shawna, Jenn, and Juno do a wonderful job at explaining and performing all aspects of the process. I needed a significant density treatment as I've had scars on the back of my head since birth. Jenn and Shawna warned me that there would be a high rejection rate after the first couple of treatments. They were right and I never got discouraged. More and more of the "dots" stayed after each session. I needed 6 sessions instead of the traditional four. Those extra two appointments made a world of difference. You are evaluated during every visit so you know where you are. It's not a totally painless procedure, but it certainly doesn't hurt to the point of discomfort. This place is amazing. The staff are superb. From the moment I first called to the moment I completed treatment, it's been nothing short of an amazing experience.
