Let's face it- There are parts about getting older that are…read morenot fun. We tend to lose things! Losing my hair was definitely not a perk of becoming older! Lolol! My main reason for posting review is not about BOSLEY, but about one of their Senior Counselors, Mr. Alex Gonzales. Having my first procedure done at BOSLEY was not convenient: the two-hour drive, versus a local doctor, and despite the higher cost, I ended up at BOSLEY Newport Beach..... and Alex gets 100% all the credit for my business at Bosley. He completely went out of his way and above and beyond to meet my particular needs and work around any restrictions that would prohibit me from being a patient at BOSLEY. He is an incredible salesman with the perfect balance of approachable and professional. Alex puts people at ease, he knows his stuff, and is able to make a warm, personal connection in a moment. I have a background in sales--so I know a gifted salesperson when I meet one. Alex is exceptional. The fact that I would even consider having my transplant done at a clinic over two hours away. That didn't even meet my requirements, says everything about the quality of Alex's work. He is a good salesman, because he is not just trying to sell something.. It is very clear that Alex believes in what he is offering to the patient, and performs his role as a counselor in that he answers every question you have, and I felt fully ready and prepared on the day of my transplant, His sincerity and eagerness not only speak well of him, they make him an effective ambassador for the Bosley company. I hope the appropriate people in this company give Alex G the recognition he earns and deserves. My experience with BOSLEY is a mixed bag. I will say, the outcome and the expertise of the doctor is not in question. They are skilled and know what they're doing. This is more about the policies and procedures from the business and office standpoint However, unintended, the lack of appreciation for me, a Cash paying client, and their inability and lack of flexibility to accommodate a returning existing customer, is disappointing. After my first procedure that cost as much as a nice new Honda accord, which I paid for upfront and in cash, I was prepared to come in a year later for a second procedure that would've given me even fuller hair. However, from the time I was there last year to now, they changed some policy, which made it prohibitive for me to pay using the payment agreement they approved for my first procedure. Thankfully, there is a new doctor that is closer to where I live, and is willing to accept payment from me that saves me a lot of extra work and hurdles to jump through. I realize that my request and needs are unique and won't prevent most customers from using BOSLEY. For that reason, I would still recommend them. Alex and his outstanding service gets 5 stars. I give Bosley 3 to 4 stars. I'm unable to give them five stars, not just because of my situation, but their front office is not ran efficiently and fails to keep obvious valuable patients.
