It's been 5 years and I still don't have all my windows in correctly. I love the windows, I love the workmanship but the office staff and service is the worst I've ever seen. They came in 2021 and installed the windows. Some of them were cracked - I was told that can happen in transport but that all windows would be replaced. Over then next 5 years I had delays, staff turnover, missing orders and had to live with looking at a big crack across my bedroom window and pray I made it through each hurricane season. This week they finally put in the new window- except it was a completely frosted and opaque window that I never ordered. They knew that and put it in anyway- then they apologize and tell me I will have the correct window in 6 weeks. That last time they told me this it was 6 months. It is such a shame because otherwise I would recommend this place to anyone. In fact- I recommended them to two friends. One opted to stay away when she saw the trouble we had- the other (a neighbor) used them to put in their windows. We never got the "reward" they offered for recommending a new customer. And they live on the same street we do so we know they put the windows in. As much as I like the windows they put in correctly I will never recommend them to anyone else. This has been a nightmare. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with an installer. My experience with New South Windows (NSW), involving a total cost of just over $23,000 for windows and a sliding door, was marked by significant and unacceptable lapses in communication and unacceptable processes which I feel future customers must be aware of. Note: There is a lot more to this saga but reviews have character limits so these are just some highlights. The project start was prompt up to the point of sale. However, once our initial check cleared, the main office essentially ceased all proactive communication regarding the customer service aspects. The phrase, "We'll call you back," proved multiple times to be completely meaningless. The severity of the communication breakdown was evident when my sales representative offered to share screenshots of his own repeated, unanswered attempts to contact the main office regarding my project. This clearly demonstrated a systemic failure in their internal customer support infrastructure. This failure was compounded by project delays and premature billing. Despite an incorrectly sized window the installation (initially in July) was not complete until October, yet NSW cashed in the financing and initiated payments. We were forced to pay for at least three months for an incomplete, multi-month-delayed project. Throughout this time, we received no updates, and when we called, staff lacked basic operational awareness regarding the status or expectations of their own process. This is deeply alarming for a company of their tenure. Our initial inspection date was a no-show. When I called NSW, they vaguely cited "miscommunication" and then bafflingly claimed we had never scheduled an inspection and that they did not have the Notice of Commencement (NOC) on file. This suggests severe operational issue: either NSW performed the installation without the required NOC on file or failed to inform us it was needed. The disarray continued through the second attempt: after waiting all day, the county confirmed no inspection was scheduled. We finally secured the inspection on the third attempt. This demonstrates a clear pattern of incompetence in project management for just scheduling inspections. Just to schedule the final post inspection trim install took 1.5 months, multiple unfulfilled "we'll have service call you back", several emails to the corridinator, and NSW canceling the an appointment by email the day before. Without exaggeration, the job itself was faster then the time it took just to get NSW to schedule it. There were a few minor repair issues on that ticket as well but the installers must not have been told because they had no idea about the adjustment/repair items and did not have the part needed for the ticket. With the project almost over (still 1 missing part 13+ months out), I am genuinely at unease at the thought of having to work with any potential warranty repairs in the future. The installers and sales personnel are good people trying to help but there central management and processing is at best abysmal to work with. Information Potential Regarding Energy Rebates (Duke Energy): A final, objective point of disappointment: If you are buying with hopes of applying for energy-saving credits, please exercise caution. We had 11 non-north facing windows installed and not a single window installed met the efficiency standards required to qualify for the Duke Energy Energy-Efficient Window Rebates (SHGC of .21 and U-Factor .27, non-north facing windows, at this time of install). This detail should be confirmed directly with the company and your utility provider before signing any contract, as it could impact on the prospective financial benefit of the project. Prospective customers should be cautioned that internal inquiries regarding this program may be challenging: my repeated attempts for clarification were mostly ignored, and the final response from a NSW representative was delivered with a harsh, unprofessional tone, making me feel personally responsible for the discrepancy I was attempting to understand. read more

Ordered full house window replacements. On my scheduled install date, the 1st window I heard a circular saw and I thought nothing of it at 1st. A few minutes later I open the door to a room filled with marble dust on a totally uncovered room, TV, bed , clothes. They cut the marble sill while it was still attached. After I saw this, I told them to finish that window and stop. The county inspection revealed 2 screws missing and a follow up was scheduled. Called in the AM to confirm, all set. Never showed up, no call no notification. Avoid this company like the plague. It was a very expensive lesson learned for me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! read more

Had my windows installed. The installation team were great, however about a month after installation one of my windows didn't lock properly. I spoke with someone about 4 months ago and they supposedly put in a work order for it to be fixed, however no one to this date has called me. I have tried time and time again to call the office and no one ever picks up the phone and when you leave a message they do not call you back. These windows are supposed to have a lifetime warranty on them, however you can't get ahold of them or they don't follow through if you ever do get a hold of them. They are very quick to make sure payment is taken care of, however do not fix their problems. AVOID THEM read more

For some illogical reason I selected NSW again. Luis convinced me he would rectify issues last year. BUT... 5 months to complete install of 5 windows, 3 transoms, and replace the door they installed last year. Needed dozens of calls with very few callbacks, seemed to require escalating emails (last one included Windows Nation - their newest owner) to obtain a response. Even after they finally scheduled county inspection, it took a month and 3 calls to have final plugging (as it is called) scheduled. THEN at plugging the tech advised me they did not have plugs for the door frame. And I will have to take care of that on my own Additionally the windows are NOT the same quality as last year and DO NOT meet Duke Energy rebate standards - even though when meeting with the same sales person as last year I specified same windows as last year. After recieving a partial door order in October we are still waiting for them to complete transaction with the door that we purchaed. Since the start of the year, I have followed up weekly, but my calls and messages remain unreturned. While the front desk staff is polite, they are unable to provide updates and can only offer to take a message. Do not use this company. I signed the contract April 2025 and made down payment. Then no contact from them for months. The rep. Brad does not return calls or emails. They installed broken and wrong windows in Sept. 2025. I had to start paying Synchrony loan. Told relacement windows were reordered. Told in Feb. they had been received and would be installed. We are replacing the windows in our entire house (a pricey job) that one would think to be a bit of a priority. It took them less than 8 weeks to get the windows in stock. Another over 4 weeks to even APPLY for the permit!! Something that should have been done right away. After calling their office and requesting some action be taken, still nothing. This was our second project using New South Windows of Altamonte Springs, FL. Our first was the purchase and installation of windows and a sliding door. That process went well. This recent project was for 2 exterior doors. Our sales technician, Jesse, was informative, knowledgeable, we were happy with his presentation and his immediate ability to get our project started. The next appointment for the measurements was timely scheduled and went smoothly. My greatest impression was the call to schedule our installation, which there was availability for the next day...go figure. Aquiles, lead installer and his team, Isaac and Hosea was very professional and courteous. Each introduced themselves and reached for a handshake. I really appreciated this, as I work in a customer service industry and courtesy and professionalism is very important to me. The gentlemen were very organized and considerate of my furnishings, so they hang a large plastic from ceiling to floor, sectioning off the work area from my furniture. I appreciated this so much. Their cleanup was great. Aquiles explained the details of the install, what to expect from the inspector and the follow up for the final completion of the install. Total lack of follow through for install. Told one thing then install is different. Told we needed to have a new window made because the size was wrong. Waited months man delivered the new window and said the new one was wrong but fixed the first one. After city inspection waited months agin for final install. Told the sliding door was not ever secured. He was not able to do it correctly by himself, I offered to help. He screwed 5 screws into the frame to hold it temporally and said they would call that week to be back to fix it correctly. That was over two weeks ago. I'm left with an expensive safety hazard. This company deserves 0 stars. I have never done business with anyone so unreliable, impossible to get in touch with and rip off you for your money. I had my windows installed late (after the contract date) due to their lack of follow up or proactive work. I had to be the person to check on if the windows were ready, if the inspection was scheduled, if the permit was approved. It has been over a year since my installation date and I'm still pending them to completed the installation on one door. They have no showed to several appointments or show up empty handed. It's impossible to get in touch with a manager and every time I call they just schedule an appointment weeks out. DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY As of February 1, 2024, the reported 3-to-4-day project is now on Day #165. NewSouth employees did not arrive at our home on the first day of installation, nor did a NewSouth employee show up onsite for the 5 days the subcontractors were here... The NewSouth Windows Marketing President of Central Florida did visit our home on the 5th day (August 25, 2023), but he did not take any action (as promised), to address the issues we reported to him and the NewSouth Project/Install Manager during the construction process. The subcontractors showed up pulling behind them a very large black trailer with "Wedding Warehouse" labeled all over it. We were shocked, ticked off, and embarrassed. Our neighbors were like "really"? The lead subcontractor ignored my request to have a NewSouth sign put in our front yard and the NewSouth Windows Marketing President of Central Florida said he would, but it never happened. NewSouth Windows installed 3 regular double-planed windows + 2 picture windows in 2021. They sent a serviceman here at least 3 times to try to fix the kitchen window (it pops up when it's closed unless it's locked). I was finally told http they had done all the could; it's still a problem. Far worse is that during hurricane Ian, the picture windows leaked. They sent someone out who supposedly resealed & fixed the problem. Well, we're now in hurricane Milton & I felt a splashing: the picture widows are leaking, they are never properly never properly sealed and the worst part of the storm is yet to come. read more

The sliding glass door was not the correct measurement and he cut my drywall and framing less than a foot away from my microfiber sofa with NO Covering. Dust was Everywhere!!! Then to make matters worse, they dropped a window in my living room sending glass on pool deck and literally throughout the home. I even found glass in bath mats as well as the side of the toilet. With a small dog, glass is UNACCEPTABLE. They broke 2 glass frames and didn't even complete the job well. Upon my first complaint they sent Robert Stone to adjust things a couple days later. He cleaned up dangerous debris left throughout the back and front yard, Took off stickers, fixed some incorrect inserted screws, cleaned the windows. I cleaned my house for hours (almost 2000 sq ft sweeping glass, wiping glass tables,sectional sofa), drained/cleaned my pool. After that I spoke to the manager Randy Hyneman . He said we "fixed" the issues right... I said yes after I cleaned up already. He refused to offer me compensation for the cleaning and damage. Sales guy, Rick Haas, said he would take care of it, (he didn't) and weeks later and multiple follow up calls, they said take this $100 gift card and that's that. Very disappointed in new south windows. hired new south to replace nine windows and one four-door patio door. The install was started on Wednesday, August 31 and completed Thursday, September 1. Our final inspection was done on Wednesday, September 14 and it failed. We followed up with new south on Monday, September 19. The best they could do was put us on the schedule to correct the wrong was Monday, October 17. We have snap on parts laying next to each window and patio door to be installed after we pass inspection. Maybe new south should consider having a department to solve problems immediately. Beware. We had New South Windows installed in December 2021. Installer said 1 window was cracked and somebody would call. Since installation we found that 2 windows would not lock properly and after caulk dried there is a gap. My wife has called and talked to one person with no help. THEN Lorretta in May who checked and said part was in and somebody would get back to us - nothing. THEN Manny in June said all she could do was put in a request to service department. My wife asked to speak to somebody higher and was told there was nobody else - crazy. THEN Carmen also in June who wrote up a detailed report of our issues - don't know what to expect. Jesse the sales rep was great. Knowledgeable, friendly, timely and available. I took the leap. Install crew was great and seemed to take pride in their work. Office staff and leadership are TERRIBLE and RUDE. They have 0 customer service skills and have no problem making up the answers as they go. "You need to call the county about your inspection as we have scheduled it for xyz date". I called the county and lo and behold it's not scheduled because it's through the city. Called the city and it wasn't scheduled with the city either. For $34,000 you would think the customer service and care might be more important. Praying that if there are issues they will honor their warranty in a timely manner but fully expecting it will require legal recourse in order to hold them to it especially in a timely manner. read more

Our appointment to put the trim on was made one month after inspection ( it took 4 calls, and no return calls) and was canceled the day of, and re-scheduled for almost a month later. Windows came with one broken, one frame damaged, and a hole in one screen. Three more screens were not properly fixed to the frames. On installation, a marble window sill was cracked. It's been months since I was told the windows were ordered and repair would take place when they come in. When I call to get a progress report, the story is always different. It's delayed, wrong widow ordered, etc. Customer service is non-existent. Once they have your money they are done with you. I can't get a code inspection until the window is replaced, so that's not done either. We were told we would get a vacation voucher and after 3 calls, no voucher. Buyer beware! read more

Weaponized incompetence. I cannot hold them in lower regard. It took them 7 MONTHS!! to install our windows. The first time they came by was months after their proposed 14 week timeline. They came missing one window completely and broke another. It took several more months after that to get the two windows (one broke one just plane ignored). I had to call almost weekly, and almost weekly no one would return my call despite weekly assurances someone would. I went through THREE company presidents in that time. Three!! That's the sort of company we are talking about. That's the level of organizational competence and awareness. They humbly acknowledged their horrible job over the phone and I let them know that I wouldn't be sending the last 10% of my payment on account of their poor work. They didn't object on the phone-acknowledging it should take 7 months to install windows. Then they try an invoice me the last bit anyways with a rude attacking secretary. But do they at least do a good job in the installation you might ask? Well no they don't. They killed several of my plants stepping all over them, didn't clean up the caulking around the joints and never came by to do their window inspection they promise when selling them to you. USE ANYONE ELSE! If you already accidentally made the mistake of using them do not pay in full, as even withholding payment they are unlikely to actually do the job. I never have written a bad review for any company before and I'm sad yelp doesn't allow negative stars. Trust the negative reviews, trust that people got burned, do not trust the salesmen. I called them for a 2 window quote, wind damage from the Hurricane for a rental house I own and they flat out said "We won't qoute any rental units, you wouldn't want our windows because they cost more than what you would normally put in a rental house." Well, what? Am I a slumlord or something? Even though I wanted to replace the windows with the higher quality, double pane and I have other houses and more work for them. I own units in nice areas of town, good quality houses, I don't mind, in fact I wanted to put in high quality windows.. but they won't be getting that work now. read more

This company is one of the worse companies I have dealt with. I have a big project... 36 windows and a door. I got a call stating that my windows were almost all in, and the last 2 would be on the Tuesday truck. Scheduled to start Friday , 8/6/2021. I was really looking forward to getting this done. The team showed up on time, and started breaking the windows, and pulling them out. I had asked my salesman if they break windows or pull them out, and his response was "Great question. We do not break them like others do. We pull the whole window out. You dont want shards of glass everywhere". After the first day, I went out to look at how many windows were left. I did not see the door. I asked where was the door, and thats when I was told not only are they missing the door, but they are missing an office window, kitchen window, have the wrong window for upstairs , and the main entrance window was measured wrong. They were nice enough to say they would not charge me to get new measurements and get a window that would fit. I did not know what to say to that. One window on the main entrance was so poorly installed I had to make them do it again. It was about a quarter inch shy of being fully recessed, so they put a quarter inch of some type of putty. It looked horrible. Here we are a week and a half later. I asked them to send a team out to clean up all the glass shards I could see around my pool, the driveway, just everywhere. I tried cleaning some of it up, but still wound up cutting my foot on a piece I missed around the pool. The only person who seems to be in the Houston office is an accountant. I have called 3 or 4 times, explaining how unhappy I am. This is not a cheap project, and I would expect more from a company that advertises so much about how good they are. So no one has bothered to reach out and return my calls. Not sure what approach I will have to take to get this finished and done right. read more

We had New South Install 3 Patio Doors ranging from double to Quad pocket doors and are completely satisfied. Sales presentation by Luis Montes was excellent. Patio Doors were MUCH cheaper than Renewal by Andersen and very high quality. Installation came ahead of original promise and all went well. Had to wait for inspection before final touches were made with took a while but once inspection was complete all was followed up on within a week. We are very happy with our patio doors and are loving the energy savings during this very hot weather. Its so disappointing to have to write this review because we were so excited about choosing New South over all the other companies we met with but fel the need to warn people about how this company operates. We met with our salesman Don very nice person and did a good job explaining to us why New South is a good choice but thats where the good experience ended. Don told us the payment schedule was one third up front one third at time of installation and one third when everything was complete. OK next step is the measurement's and at that time we were told NO one third up front and both other two thirds on the same day of installation BEFORE the inspection by the County BEFORE the permit is closed and BEFORE the installation is completed. We told the person doing the measuring we were not comfortable with that and he said ok i made that note for you but call your sales rep. Fine all of sudden the nice sales person is non responsive and when he finally does respond says I'll check with the manager...so we start calling and emailing the office and finally a week later we get an email from the manger Fred who says thats the way its stated in the contract. Now we are trying to cancel and get our deposit back since nothing is turning out to be what we were told AND they comapny has shown us when we do have an issue they don't repond and avoid dealing with the clients. We should have gone with Pella hopefully this helps anyone else comparing companies for replacement windows that has the same choice to make. **Update, after emailing the company to cancel our order i got a phone call from Fred the manager who told me the same thing as the email, "the contract says... so it doesn't matter what the salesperson told you" so i said no problem we just want to cancel and then he said "Your way past yuor three days to cancel" This would all be well and good except we told them at time we were signing the agreement we weren't comfortable and wanted to change the agreement and the measuring person added the note and assured us we could deal with it with our sales rep, then nobody would respond to us until after the three days had passed. We cannot get the company to finish the job- stucco damage, windows not completed yet, and they are not prompt or eager to help us become satisfied with their company or the product. If I was the owner of this company, I would not be very happy with my employees or the fact that I haven't been paid for windows ordered in November of 2020! I'm sure our neighbors are not happy looking at the stickers all over the windows and our paper shades. We cannot put up any of our blinds until problems are fixed, windows inspected, then stickers removed and cleaned. This has not been a good experience! read more

Horrible people to deal with... tons of questions to make an appointment, but they never show up and then claim that they have no appointment scheduled for me, and don't even have my info in their system. (Even spoke with the same person who made the appointment in the first place). If it really was a mistake, it would've probably been followed up with something along the lines of being apologetic for a mix up and offering to reschedule me soon, but nope... it was more of a go-away attitude I got. So now I wonder what they're doing with my contact info... is this some scam going on? I am so amazed at this company. The sales presentation was so educational and informative. They physically show you how their windows are different and you can feel the dramatic efficiency they offer. They give an enormous amount of information in the presentation, which is appreciated when making a purchase of this magnitude. We are in the Houston, Texas area, and had a 400+ square foot screened in porch converted to a sunroom. The windows are absolutely gorgeous. The installation WAS FIRST CLASS. They spare NO detail and make sure everything is done perfectly. This is by far the most pleasant experience we have ever had in remodeling. It is the best purchase we could have made. The quality, workmanship, and efficiency are unsurpassed. From the original estimate and presentation to the installation , everything was top of the line. We bought 12 storm windows. Installers stated that the technician who comes after instillation would clean the windows. The after installation technician did not clean the windows - caulk etc all over the glass and frame. When we cleaned the windows we realized one window was missing the draining vent so it held water. They finally fixed it but it looks like a hack job. Then 3 windows broke - stopped staying up when we opened them. We rarely opened them anyway. When they came to fix that weeks later we were told the "stops" had never been installed. The windows broke because we raised the windows too high due to lack of stops. So he fixed those 3 broken windows and added stops. He didn't have enough stops for our other windows. Weeks later another technician shows up to add stops, except he doesn't have any stops with him, says they are on backorder. He also said we are missing the "tops" - something that hides the screws at the top of the windows. Weeks later we are still waiting for that repair. Thing is, if they drag this out 2 years past our install date, we will have to pay a service fee every time they show up to fix stuff they forgot to do during the installation. Takes them 6-8 weeks to get a visit scheduled. They do not seem to stand behind their service. I always have to call them to get these visits scheduled even though they know what needs to be fixed and the technician says they will call to schedule the service. Everything they are "fixing" is due to installation errors or manufacturing defect (lack of drain). Yet we would have had to pay service visit fees after 2 years to get these fixed even though it was manufacturing/installation errors. The windows broke well over a year after installation as we live in Florida and rarely actually open the windows. And I'm a slacker and took over a year to clean the caulk off the windows. Installers also denied breaking one of our window sills but the follow up technician did replace that without a fuss. Overall, I would not recommend this company as they don't stand behind their service and make it as difficult as possible to get service. read more

Please don't venture into an agreement with this company. I paid my first installation over 4.5k August 2021; was to be completed in December 2021. They cited material shortages and it arrived in Feb. 2022. They delivered the material and began work a day or so later collecting another 4.5k THEN all the material was not with the order "I was told" but come to find out they installed it incorrectly!! Well here it is May 2022 and they have the nerve not to even follow-up when I call for updates. HORRIBLE! 9k and I can't even get them to tell me when this nightmare will be over. DON't DO IT! It looks beautiful on paper....my patio is a mess with this project being partially completed!! I have cried, gotten mad, cried again and now I'm just numb..
