The pics are not in order so please see the titles at the bottom of each pic indicating before, after... And of course, there's one of Meredith.. I'd been a loyal client at Jungle Red for years. That ended the day Meredith--a so-called "Top Tier Stylist"--butchered my hair beyond repair. After 1.5 years of growing it out, I asked for a light trim. Instead, she razored through my hair from every angle. I couldn't see the back until it was too late. My hair was left shredded, uneven, and destroyed. Even Meredith looked shocked by how much she'd cut off. When I returned, her only response was, "Aww, I'm sorry you don't like your cut." That's not an apology--that's condescension. The owner, Lisa Travis, refunded the cut but refused to take any real responsibility. I asked if they'd help cover the cost of corrective work--she smugly declined, claiming extensions "weren't possible." She was wrong. Other stylists proved it could be done and temporarily fixed what Jungle Red ruined. Their "top-tier" ranking system is a joke. Meredith lacks skill and judgment, and Lisa Travis clearly doesn't value her clients enough to make things right. It's been 10 MONTHS, and my hair still hasn't recovered. I'm posting photos so you can see the damage for yourself. Do not trust this salon. They do not stand behind their work.

The beautician only opens her books once a month for bookings. On the 20th of each month, many a diva clammer to snag an appointment. The appointments book up quick; however, I was lucky enough to be able to get an appointment in July. This humidity wreaks havoc on my natural hair and my strands try to pull off a style that only Diana Ross can! Luckily, my co-worker gave me very specific instructions on how to get to the shop. If you follow the GPS, it'll say that you've arrived, and I was like, "Arrived where?" You go up into a strip mall. It's the same strip mall where Mr. Crab is. Actually, it's right next door almost to Mr. Crab. I was offered a bottle of water, soda, or champagne. I went for the water, but maybe next time, I'll go for some bubbly. My treatment started off with a luxurious steaming then a wash. After being steamed, washed, and conditioned, my hair felt so soft. Then the straightening treatment. I don't know how she did it, but my hair was sooooo straight and silky after she was done. I was almost convinced that I was wearing a wig. It was so soft, silky and manageable. The stylist was both professional and engaging and the silk press lasted for weeks. I can't wait to go again!

Although she didn't have the color I wanted in demi so I had to go with a permanent color because I didn't really want to reschedule and try to find someone else. I wanted to give her 5 stars, she is kind of expensive comparatively speaking, and I did text her about the demi and the color I wanted (granted I booked less than 24 hr in advance) ahead of time and there didn't seem to be an issue until I arrived. But really it's minor for how great she was. But my hair looks and feels great and I would definitely recommend her if you need someone thorough and professional who will actually listen well to you.
