Madalyn texted the night before and asked if I could change my appointment for two days later. I said sure and she said she would see me then. Fast forward two days and I showed up for appointment at Madalyn's specified day and time. The receptionist informed me my appointment was the day before and I had missed it. I showed her the text exchange I had with Madalyn stating my rescheduled appointment. She apologized and told me Madalyn wasn't working and I'd have to reschedule. I was very disappointed and will be looking for a different salon.

They all booth rent so if you want to make an appointment you'll have to catch the numbers on their answering machine in order to schedule with someone. I received a conditioning treatment for my hair that has been bleached more times than I can count. She was was informative on how to maintain great silky hair and keep my color in tact as well. Called on Tuesday to cancel as had other obligations I could not get out of. Was told my $200 deposit would not be reimbursed..... $200 !!!! Called, talked with Shaterra and she would not consider my difficulty in having to cancel. A good business owner would have at least given back part of deposit. This is wrong. I cancelled in plenty of time for her to schedule someone else. I understood if I cancelled 48 hours before appointment,-- which I did - -I would get deposit back. I have used other permanent cosmetic companies, and no deposit was ever required. No "punishment" for cancelling either. Terrible policy and unwavering owner to not give MY money back. Do not understand all the positive reviews. Would never use this company.

Then I was left to sit with color on my hair for 30 minutes too long again, waiting for her to work someone else in. I realize that working customers simultaneously isn't unusual but this was way past what was safe for hair to process. The last and final time I thought I would give it one more try. Same thing, except this was even worse. She didn't ask me about the color or preferred shade for my roots and was talking so much that I didn't realize she had put a very warm, reddish, brassy brown on my roots. (My natural hair color is a cool dark brown). The results are now that my hair is over processed and my otherwise healthy hair is like straw!! It's just a shame when someone is just trying to make that much money and throws quality under the bus. I am so upset and having to have treatments to repair my damaged hair.

She genuinely wants you to be happy with your hair and your experience. She has worked past her usual hours so I could come after work with my job schedule which was above and beyond. Belair's just moved to Springboro and it's a lovely place. Everything is always clean, comfortable and prepared with the customer in mind. I've also had my hair done by Candace and Jaiden when I had to reschedule due to last-minute conflicts. They were both excellent as well. And the icing on the cake is their very reasonable prices! I decided to come here after looking for a salon that had a reputation for being contemporary, a little out of the box with their creativity, attention to detail and was attracted by the pride she took in her art and craft. Nicole loves what she does and it shows. Nicole is the very first stylist I have ever had a successful cut and style that I actually love * love * love! Great hair is possible and when you find it you know you have something special. I have used Square One, Studio Blue and like goldilocks found one just right when I arrived at Nicole's chair looking for that "just right experience." While the other salons I went to are all very good my search brought me to what I now think is my forever hair home. The entire experience was one of them carefully listening to my needs. But the main event of course is about the hair. Nicole cut my hair and she just made it wonderful. Nicole is wonderful. A true artist. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.
