We were really struggling because the "online florist" that was supposedly "local" missed delivery of flowers ordered 5 days earlier. USPS could get the gift delivered even though it was sent a week earlier. Joey arranged to have Scott come to our daughter's 25th birthday celebration at a local pub. Scott did an OUTSTANDING job making sure everything was coordinated as we live in Florida and were not onsite. Then I stumbled across Sara's photoblog. It was obvious that she had talent. From her blog it appeared that she'd been a professional photographer for several years shooting primarily child/maternity/family sessions and was only recently breaking into shooting weddings. At the time she'd only shot one or two weddings but the results were fantastic. So I shot her an email to see about an engagement shoot. Not only did the photos for the engagement shoot turn out great but my fiance and I both felt very comfortable with her. She's sarcastic and has a great sense of humor like us so we were immediately at ease, and it shows in the photos. She was great with the turn around time, basically had them completely touched up and edited in the exact time she'd stated it would take. I'm a professional writer. In 1986, Linda took the cover photos for my first book, and when I…read morerecently moved to the area, I contacted her about using the images again for a new edition. She was very warm and helpful, and so when I decided to get new author photos for my publicity packet, I called her. She was an absolute joy to work with. She was relaxed, which put me at ease, and she really listened to what I wanted. Because I have epilepsy and can't be around flash, we did the shoot outdoors and tried several locations in my neighborhood. She encouraged me to be playful, and we tried many angles, moods and backgrounds. I had so many good shots to choose from that it was a struggle to pick. I ended up choosing four instead of just one. Not only do I have a pair of really good author head shots, I have a couple of great dating photos, too. I enjoyed the shoot, was impressed with the quality of the images, and plan to use her for my photo needs in the future (and hope to take her photography classes as well.)
