One of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding was hiring Leise as our photographer. Her rates are extremely affordable, and she's flexible about payment plans, which meant we were able to afford a better package than we'd originally budgeted for. Our engagement photo session was included with the price of the wedding photography, and it was a really great way for us to get to know Leise and her style, and for us to get more comfortable in front of the camera (very very very necessary for us!). The day of the wedding, Leise was a ninja. There are photos that she took where we have NO memory of her being anywhere around us. The candids are exactly what you might imagine when you're imagining perfect wedding day candid photos; she really captured the spirit of the whole wedding. The way that Leise worked with us and our families was really perfect. She was able to take control of two very large, rowdy families and get photos done quickly and efficiently, but she was so friendly and fun about it that everyone was genuinely smiling and laughing the whole time. We got endless compliments during the reception itself, before anyone had seen a single photograph, on how amazing Leise was. My grandmother even took me aside and said we should hire her for more family events (which ended up happening; she's photographing another family wedding this month). It is pretty impossible to describe how wonderful an experience we had working with Leise in the space allotted but I will certainly try! Three years ago, Leise was the wedding photographer for my friend's wedding in which I was a bridal party member. The photos from that wedding were stunning and the photos of me and my husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, on the dance floor were my absolute favorite of us! Leise did my photos for work. I'm a lawyer and wanted photos that convey my personality and look like me. I am normally very uncomfortable having my picture taken, and my past professional photos have been less than ideal. In the past, I never knew what the photos looked like until a week after the shoot so I had no way of knowing if they were good and if they weren't, it was too late. Leise not only made me feel very comfortable, and came to my office for the shoot, but we were able to look at each picture on the computer so that small changes could be made to get the perfect shot. Good vendors can make a big event like a wedding seem smooth and easy, and Leise is one of the best out there. Not only is she a skilled photographer, but her warmth and genuine pleasure at working with you make every interaction a positive experience. We came to Leise with a budget and she designed a package that was great for us. Even though she traveled 2.5 hours each way for our wedding, she charged us NO travel fees because she could stay with family near our venue. When was the last time a business person actually looked out for you like that? Leise was very communicative, always responded to emails quickly, and was easy to reach with questions before and after the wedding. During the wedding, she coordinated easily with the site manager and the DJ to make sure everything ran on time and that she was in the right spot for pictures. As someone who attends weddings professionally, Leise was a great resource for day-of details that everyone else forgot (for instance, she was the only one who noticed that my bustle was still up before walking down the aisle, and she actually got down on her knees to help untie it quickly). I thought I would be uncomfortable with a photographer around all day, but Leise makes you feel like she is a friend who just happens to have a camera to capture beautiful photos. I didn't realize how much photographer interaction there would be post-wedding, but we've probably emailed with Leise more after the event than before. She's been very patient in letting us choose the pictures we wanted for prints and a photo book, and has worked her behind off to get us proofs quickly. I'm pretty picky, and Leise has been a pleasure to work with both before and after the wedding. We initially liked Leise's portfolio for her "journalistic" style---photographs that are clean, natural, and mostly candid. What we didn't realize is that she rocks at capturing those fleeting moments that only last a second or two. At our wedding, my new husband and I walked back up the aisle and I flashed our rings at Leise with a big smile on my face, just for a second. That photo is now one of my favorites. She caught my father dancing with a look of unbridled joy; I'm going to treasure that picture for a long time. In short, Leise is a warm, professional, talented photographer, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. If I ever have a photographer-worthy event again, I'd hire her in a heartbeat. read more

I cannot say enough great things about my experience working with Leise. She photographed our wedding this past July and while she is extremely professional she is amazingly personable. Our engagement session last Sept was really fun and relaxed; more like taking pictures with a friend. The day of our wedding she was spot on. Some how she is everywhere.
