We were in town for a tournament and looked up local food. 1850 popped up with mixed reviews and I'm really glad we went. The ambiance is really balanced no matter what the occasion. Our Bartender was wonderful, knowledgeable and quick. we listened to him answer questions constantly while balancing overall operations. Food: Brunch menu - B&Gs 10/10, Breakfast platter 9/10 Regular lunch menu - 1850 chicken sandwich was phenomenal and added the honey/bourbon sauce 10/10 worth the extra for the sauce Drinks: Full bar and a specialized menu, best part was coffee being available. The service really set this place apart and the food was tied for first with it. We will be back when we are in town. read more

We were seated before two other tables -- one party of two and one party of five -- yet both were helped before us. I've honestly never felt so invisible at a restaurant. We sat there with no greeting, no water, nothing. We were actually about to leave and head to Culver's when the gentleman who seated us noticed we still hadn't been acknowledged. He immediately stepped in to help, got drinks started, apologized for the delay, and even offered us a complimentary appetizer because of the lack of service. The appetizer was great, and his kindness completely changed the tone of the experience. He ended up taking our order and delivering our food as well. His attentiveness and genuine care were superb. Unfortunately, the meal itself was disappointing. We usually order the Reuben but decided to try the 1850 chicken sandwich this time. It arrived barely warm, looked unappealing, and the chicken was quite dry. Honestly, I probably would have enjoyed Culver's more. That said, the gentleman who took care of us made all the difference. I wish I had gotten his name because he truly deserves recognition. I left nearly a 20% tip because of him and honestly wish I could have left more. You have an absolute gem working for you. After several attempts they finally put together a great culinary experience. I hesitated to order my favorite Osso Bucco but the energetic, happy server talked me into it. I'm glad I did, it was wonderful. My wife enjoyed a very nice chicken picatta. Kudos to the chef. The environment was at the end of our day on the patio. Enjoyed sitting in the shade on the patio for lunch with my family. Aside from a couple obnoxiously loud patrons who had difficulty figuring out what language and speaking volume to use while outside in public - Yes, we are outdoors but that doesn't mean use your outdoor backyard party voice - it was a delightful space on the golf course's edge. My greatest surprises were how perfectly cooked the salmon was on the beet salad and my Bloody Mary. I cannot emphasize how difficult it is to get a decent Bloody Mary - anywhere. You don't have pickles? Don't serve bloody Marys. No celery? Olives? Don't bother. But the bartender at 1850 made this one spicy (upon request) plus the good fixins and a flavorful, not-watered-down mix. Bonus: When it gets cool this fall (and because us Iowans are the hardy type *wink*), there are heaters for the patio area and what appeared to be some creative led lighting. Take out order Service was good. People were nice and welcomed us. They were quick when taking our order and take out time was 20 minutes (standard, which is good). I had a bleu cheese burger & fries - 7/10. BIG flavor! It was great! The burger was pretty huge and it was pretty nice. I was expecting bleu cheese crumbles, but it was like a ball of bleu cheese and tbh it made the experience even better. Some fries were crispy and some weren't but that's okay. Pretty oily, but that's expected with a burger. I wish we were able to eat here because the ambiance is very nice! Outdoor dining is available and the patio is nice. read more

We really enjoyed eating here. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and my partner got the crab cake sandwich. Both entrees were great! I found out how much I love sweet potato fries from this place! The crab cake sandwich did fall apart but was overall delicious. The service was good, we were taken good care of. We sat outside and enjoyed their patio area which over looks a driving range. It was actually a cool day in July so I wanted a place with plenty of outdoor seating, locally owned, with a great ambiance. This place was perfect! A very eclectic menu - not just your usual bar food. A had the tuna poke bowl and it was great. Plenty of staff so service of drinks and food was very timely. COVID: No one is required to wear a mask. The staff are unmasked, too. It was super uncomfortable, and I wish they would. Outside Dining: The patio is a lovely area to eat with a view of the driving range. Food: The food was pretty decent, although, my husband had the brisket and said it was disgusting. I had the turkey bacon sandwich, which was good. The sweet potato fries were great. They were out of several items, however, like the goat cheese balls and the crab cakes. I can understand if the cook is behind. Come and offer me drinks. Don't leave me alone. Tell me it is going to be a bit. I'm a reasonable person. But, when it takes an hour to get your food, and you ask the server to check and they are condescending from that point forward I am done. We will not be back. If you like seasoning don't go here. Most of the food came off a truck. I got the chicken sandwich and it wasn't great. It's a Tyson chicken patty basically. No real chicken priced at $14. Terrible service. We had to wait to be seated, it wasn't that busy. Then no one ever took a drink order, even though multiple servers had been on the patio. We finally decided to leave when a couple seated after us, had their order taken and had drinks on their table. First trip back since they changed the name and my grumbling review about the interior ambience. Tonight as I pulled up, there was an open sign lit up in the front doorway. The interior walls have all been repainted and are no longer black. This is a very pleasant change for the better. Our group dined on the exterior patio and had great service. Recommend the cherry mule drink. Sampled cherry Brie appetizer. I ordered and really enjoyed the NY strip steak with macaroni & cheese dinner. Everyone else had good meals, sandwiches, entrees, salads with cherry balsamic dressing. We passed on desserts, but know they would have been great. read more

Stopped in here for a snack. Had the Pork Belly appetizer, it was pretty good. It was grilled pork belly with balsamic cipollini onions and roasted apple demi-glaze. The pork was a bit fatty, but you expect that, the cipollini onions were the best, very tasty. I also had the beet salad which was awesome. Large salad, full of romaine lettuce, sliced beets, diced apples, bacon, red onion, candied pecans, and goat cheese in a cherry balsamic vinaigrette. Great balance of flavors. Good balance of items in the salad, it was not a big bowl of lettuce with a few of the other ingredients, there was stuff in every bite. Our party of three ordered different entrees and none of us were impressed with the quality of the food. This is tough review. I have been there 4 or 5 times. Each time has been a very different experience. The first few times were terrific. Amazing food, great menu, nice beer and wine choices. 5 Star - no doubt. Each subsequent time (spaced many months apart - we are talking over a year at least), after those first amazing two visits were received with less enthusiasm. Some of the better menu choices went away (muscles) and the breads advertised were not he breads brought out with the meals. A mistake by the kitchen? Yes, that's what we thought as well, but no, it was not. There was a permanent substitution not updated on the menu. Funny thing however, not because they didn't have the bread, they did, they just decided to not use it in that dish anymore. The result? A sandwich that was no longer desirable. The place is a great little joint to take your friends and family. Like I said, nice beer and wine selections with an atmosphere to match. Not super expensive, but pricier than the national chain casual dining establishments. The outside dining is really nice. Nestles up next to a golf shop and small executive par 3 course. The wait staff has always been helpful, but just like any casual dining experience you will run into less than satisfactory servers as mentioned in other reviews here, just not anything we have run into. The food, I still believe it is better than most if not all of the "chains" that are in the area. NO DOUBT. But where I had once held this place in high regard, a funny thing happened on the way to the forum. I am not sure what or why the menu changed, but it did and I have not been happy with the result. It has been about 4 or 5 months since my last visit and I do intend on returning to see how things are. Like I said, I'd rather eat here than at Applebys, Carlos Okellys, Olive Garden etc, but the Cedar Valley has many independent dining establishments to offer that are far and above Cherry Creek to the point that I do not find myself there all that often. read more

The Fried Goat Cheese Truffles were crispy on the outside and perfect inside and went perfect with the cherry sauce, the Cherry Creek Chicken sandwich was excellent -even the fries-and the Chicken Piccata was great. We went for a birthday brunch for my sister... waited over an hour after being seated for food (with small children) , the food was luke warm (hot food and what should have been cold) . The atmosphere was nice, but we would have preferred the music a little softer genre and not quite as loud. But different people have different tastes in music and you can't please everyone! Excellent tasty food, prepared correctly, with happy servers that deliver quick service and in a timely manner. The place is clean and pleasant with a new bistro type atmosphere but has tvs in the main area for the sports fans. Quiet booths off to the side. Will definitely be back. I ordered the beet salad and you can see it for yourself in my picture. I ordered without the purple onions. The cherry balsamic dressing was nice and thick with a sweet/tart flavor. Fantastic! Also tried the goat cheese truffles: to die for. Our table had the nachos made with homemade lattice fries with brisket and BBQ on too. Excellent! The brisket was also nice and tender with no huge fatty pieces like other restaurants. I can't say enough good things about this place. My first time here, a night out with my wife. 6pm Saturday A beautiful evening so we asked to sit outside. This low rating is mostly on service, the outside seating was 1/2 full a few at the bar no one at tables in side. We sat for about 5 minutes before we saw server again. He brought menus, asked for water and drink/beer menus. A coupe minutes later drink list brought and then he didn't come back to take drink order. After 15 more minutes we went to bar and ordered drinks. (We debated about leaving since all we had done was get menus and sit outside) Drinks were brought out 5 minutes later and then our order was taken. And of course the server proceeded to spill some on me. To his credit he comped my beer.Our crab cake appetizer was brought out in a reasonable time but the 2 of us were sharing and no plates were brought with them. We were asked if we wanted plates (duh).5 minutes later we were brought plates. Before we were done with appetizers our sandwiches were brought. The food was very good. Eating outside great, watch a coupe of guys go thru huge buckets of balls from the time you get there until you get any service.....not a great experience. We did ask why it was taking so long the waiter said people did show up....not my problem but IF I go back and it takes as long to get beverage or order taken, we will not stick around to eat there. read more
