Pork tenderloin for breakfast! Talk about breakfast of champions. We found this new-to-us place while visiting Cedar Falls mostly because my sister is obsessed with all things Bigfoot. The decor did not disappoint on that count! The owner was super sweet and funny, and found a Bigfoot baseball cap for her while promising to get some more swag purchased soon. She had actual breakfast and gave it an A--scrambled eggs, pork sausage, hash browns with cheese (had to get some cheese in there somewhere). I'm not nearly as big a fan of traditional breakfast and I hadn't had my tenderloin fix on this trip yet. Bigfoot Betty's fit the bill. French fries were delicious too and the fresh veggie add-ons. Ain't no tenderloin like an Iowa tenderloin. read more

After ten minutes of being ignored we walked out. Wouldn't know how the food is. It smelled good. Be nice to at least be acknowledged.

I really wanted to like this place because the atmosphere was great and the employees were genuinely nice and ordering with our server was also a smooth and pleasant experience. However, things quickly went downhill. We were told they were out of funnel cake fries....which, okay, that happens, but then also out of fried pickles? That started to feel a bit questionable. While sitting there, we kept overhearing staff apologizing and saying they were understaffed. I understand that staffing issues happen, but good management should adjust accordingly by limiting capacity, reducing hours, or temporarily closing, rather than letting service suffer this badly. We arrived around 12:50, ordered at 1:00, and didn't get our appetizer until 1:50. Our main food didn't come out until after 2:00. That kind of wait is just not reasonable. To make matters worse, my tenderloin bun was extremely soggy and the food overall was very greasy. If you're going for a tenderloin, you're honestly better off heading to Starbecks, Cindy Lou's, or King Bucks. Great vibe and kind staff, but the long wait times, lack of menu items, and disappointing food quality made for a frustrating experience overall. And let me tell you this..... 2 kids meals, 2 adult meals, and 1 appetizer was $80 DOLLARS BEFORE TIP... I get that things in this world are expensive, but we can go to Sakura Japanese Steak House and get hibachi and sushi and feed the family for about the same cost. read more

I spent almost $40 on 2 sandwiches and 2 sides that most of it went in the garbage. We ordered the big Betty burger with a side of shells and the steak sandwich with fries. The steak sandwich had a small slice of meat which was impossible to bite into and the flavor was off, like the meat was expired. The tenderloin I had was okay, thankfully I had the sauce to elevate the dry pork. The onion rings are interesting to say the least; they were some of the thinnest I've seen. Overall, this is a decent spot if you're looking for something fried and simple. read more

We arrived on a Sunday to try this place, which I had seen on social media as having good food and good vibes. As we walked in and waited to be seated the host asked how many and I informed her that we were a party of 7 and was told it would be a minute, after having to wait for 15 - 20 mins we were finally seated and I thought that the worst was behind us, waiter showed up took our drink orders and then our entrees, very normal routine stuff, but the one appetizer that was ordered took 20 mins to get and our meals didn't arrive until an hour later. Now I can understand if we were talking made to order items like fine dining but this is hamburgers, fried fish and tenderloins this in my eyes was a bit of an extreme wait. I'll end by saying that we did go on a Sunday around 12 p.m. and we did hear staff voice to one another how they were short staffed that day, but eating out is part experience and part food and when one half of that is lacking it really does effect your experience overall. read more

We stopped in for our first visit earlier today and it would seem to me they picked the right name for the place as it was a bit difficult to find. It address of 419 Main St and it's actually located on the backside of the building (if there is a door facing Main St we missed it). The place was very nice and clean. One orders at the front counter and then the food is brought out to your table...very fast and efficient setup. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich (I've never had one before) and Terri ordered the Patty Melt ( one of her favorite sandwiches) and we ordered a small order of the Kraken Onion Rings. The onion rings were overly greasy and just fell flat in our opinion. The meat on the Monte Cristo was very tasty, the pulled pork, ham, bacon were all equally delicious. The bread was described as French Toast on the menu board...it had a good crunch to it but it was very soggy (grease? or butter?) overall and really detracted from the sandwich. The sandwich was served with a Strawberry Dipping sauce that surprisingly to me was a nice touch. I really liked the potato salad side dish as well. Terri was not a fan of the Patty Melt's texture..it seemed like it had been overly ground and came across very "mushy" like in consistency....it had a good flavor but the overall effect was a bit off-putting. The fries she ordered were average...I guess I expect fries at establishments that are more upscale to be seasoned to some degree. There were a few more items on the menu that caught our attention so we'll probably head back at some point. read more

This place was a little tricky to find, it's off Main Street behind another business, GPS took us to a storefront with different name. Here it's all about Bigfoots sister/aunt/girl; decor is log cabin ish. Everyone really enjoyed their meal! The guy at the counter was super sweet and helpful answering my many questions. read more

I ordered the porky pig tenderloin and it was worth it. It was very big and delicious. Their fries are amazing and have a nice crunch to them. Definitely recommend trying this place out. read more

My friend and I had a hard time finding it, but we did. When we entered the restaurant area, it was not busy. Each of us ordered. My friend had a salad and I ordered the smaller tenderloin with onion rings. They brought out my friend salad and she began eating it. She had completely finished it, and we waited even more time for my food to arrive. Clearly, they do not understand that people want to eat together. Not sit at the same table and eat separately. I tenderloin was really good, and I will give them that, but the onion rings were very thin and greasy and honestly there is no excuse for such slow disjointed service when the place is almost empty. I had gotten the monte cristo and it was overly greasy, I would just squeeze the bread and an abundance of grease came out and it made me extremely nauseous, i sadly couldn't finish it. I did try my mother's tenderloin and that was good. read more

Out of noodles to make a few of their dishes, on a Saturday. It's hard to support local when you don't have a core ingredient.

The breading was soggy and needed more seasoning. The fish was extremely fishy tasting and dark. The burger was decent just very greasy and the bun was soaking from the grease. Not our favorite experience. read more
