Delawareonline - When You Try To Checkout The Story From The 1st Photo, Delaware Online Tries To Scam The Reader Into Paying For FREE NEWS

It can be incredibly frustrating to click on a local news story--especially one involving public…read moresafety in your community--only to be met with a paywall. Here are a few options for a negative review, ranging from short and punchy to more detailed: Option 1: Direct and Frustrated Extremely disappointed in Delaware Online. I tried to read an important update regarding a local fatal accident on Route 141, but the article is locked behind a paywall. Public safety news should be accessible to the community, not used as a way to force subscriptions. I'll be getting my news elsewhere. Option 2: Focusing on "Pay-to-Read News It's a shame that local journalism has turned into this. Expecting people to pay $119 a year just to stay informed about what's happening in their own backyard is ridiculous. Every time I click a link to stay informed, I'm greeted with a subscription pop-up. Not worth the hassle. Option 3: Short and Sharp Tired of the paywalls! You shouldn't have to pay a subscription fee just to read about local traffic accidents and police reports. Highly inconvenient and pushes readers away. A Quick Tip If you want to find the rest of that specific story without the subscription, you can often find the same information for free by checking the Delaware State Police Newsroom website or local broadcast news sites like WDEL or WMDT, which typically don't charge for their articles.

Trying to adjust my subscription to Sundays only. I have bern o. Hold for 41 minutes, live chat…read moredoesn't work either. My husband left a message last week and we haven't received a call back. UPDATE, After being on hold for 42 minutes someone finally answered and handled my request. But it should not take 42 minutes for someone to pick up a phone.

Someone please tell them I don't want it (they not listening to me)…read more Where do I start????!!??? These stalkers and I do mean stalkers obtained my personal information and begin using it without my consent. Papers began to be delivered that I did not request nor pay for (Is this even legal). So, I politely called to decline and that is where my headaches and frustration began.... I figured the paper was being misdelivered - WRONG! I call and they ask for my information - I am leery and say no - but I provide the address so the deliveries will stop. Unbeknownst to me, they run off my name-phone number-address....Now I am curious, how do you know this if I did not give it to you AND more importantly what else do you know. NOW, I must be transferred to a supervisor (who still did not answer but said this is a free trial so that I will subscribe). Ok, please cancel this delivery and remove my personal data - cleary I am not interested. I was assured it would be done. The next week, a paper each day - piling up mind you alerting people of my comings and goings, littering the neighborhood, and most certainly being a community hazard. I reach out again - again a supervisor so I say I will complete a police report, call my elected officials, and contact BBB. I am then told it must be their distributor and provided a new number. I call - another supervisor who assured it would stop. The papers are still being delivered!!! Now, why would I even think of paying for a subscription to your paper or anything affiliated??? This is not the way to market your paper - cheapens your brand and any bit of your reputation. If I can't them to stop stalking and harassing me, what do you think will happen if you provide your banking info. Buyer Beware!!!!!! Wgere

We paid the to have an obituary run in the Star Democrat. None of our friends or family can read…read moreit without having to subscribe to the Star Democrat. Ths outragreous and wrong.

Philly Foodworks - Delivery box from Philly Foodworks

I really enjoyed getting my produce from Philly Foodworks while living in Philadelphia. I went for…read morethe subscription box and it was almost always full of a variety of perfectly ripe fruits and veggies. Once in a while I would get something that was not as fresh, but it was very rare. Philly Foodworks is unique among csa-type distributors because they have a full online grocery store you can shop from, whether you're getting a produce box or not. I was able to get almost all of my groceries each week from Philly Foodworks with their numerous options. If you shop around, you can find really affordable items as well. Subscriptions for eggs, dairy, and meat offer further discounts. In general, I ended up spending as much, or a tad less, than I would for the same items from an actual grocery store. I only ever shopped online, but I believe they also have a store front you can go to if that option is better for you. They deliver right to your doorstep for a small fee and the actual process of getting groceries/subscriptions was always a breeze. The quality of the food cannot be overstated. Once you go direct from the farm, it's hard to go back to the tasteless big-box grocery store produce. The eggs and milk were also amazing, as was the beef. Last but not least, they're a great organization with increasing access, sustainability, and regenerative farming practices at the root of everything they do.

I have been a Philly foodworks customer for over three years now and it was the best decision I…read morehave ever made. I was in the market for local produce, non gmo and organic. The quality is unmatched and when I say you can taste the difference I mean. I had never tasted carrots as fresh or potato's with so much flavor. Things you don't realize when you are used to big box store imported low quality produce. It's also a huge relief to not have to worry every time there is a new listeria recall on items. This was huge for me during the cucumber and tomato's recalls two summers ago as I was pregnant and would only eat produce from Phillyfoodworks. I also appreciate the variety of other options they provide. The fresh pasta is delicious and Im a huge fan of the chicken sausages. The customer service is also great and very responsive. It's also nice to know you are supporting the community and with it receiving top notch quality items. Lastly they deliver! It is super convenient and just makes life easier.
