This is for the White Oak location. I hd an appointment in the morning. AN hour and a half went by before they finally called me to the back. Of course than waited in the treatment room. Everyone at this place is rude and should never work in health care. I along with a couple other people in the waiting room were obviously sick. I do not know if the others waiting had appointments. I was told several times I was next but was constantly watching as kids wanting a school physical and were not sick were being taken back. The receptionist was the worst. An older man walked in and needed help with his check in and using a QR code. The receptionist ignored him. I had to help him. Then another man waiting got up to help him. The receptionist needs to do her job. She also needs to show the same kindness to people no matter what color the patient is. If you want to see how far health care has fallen go to this location. If you want good health care go elsewhere. read more

Couldn't be happier. After two weeks with some kind of respiratory infection I walked in there and had to wait no longer than a few minutes before I was brought into the back and saw the NP Margaret Dean. She empathetically listened to my complaints, checked my breathing and subscribed antibiotics. Upon leaving I asked how much it would cost and they said because I have insurance and Medicare there would be no charge. This was my first time using any kind of medical service after qualifying for Medicare so I was pleasantly surprised. I started getting better but pushed myself too soon and too hard and the infection came back as the antibiotics were ending. So I went back to the clinic (as a walk in) and again I didn't have to wait long, again saw Margaret Dean, and got different antibiotics. Again, no charge. This time I took it easy and am now healthy. So based on my experience I recommend this place. It was fast and easy with no billing issues. Everyone was nice and professional. read more

Completely awful customer service the nurse I had testing me for strep was very rude and if you don't like your job then leave it I was nothing but nice to her and she wants to have a attitude. The receptionist was nice but not a talker I've been here before and had no problems. But there's new people here from last year and I don't like how I was treated. Terrible treatment by the receptionist. we had an 11 am appointment. showed up and found my wife had my usual car with cards in it. shouldn't be an issue. They don't cancel you until two hours after. As I was leaving to go find the card she kept asking me what I wanted her to do. no options or explanation. she asked seven times. I repeated seven times I have to get my card and hopefully make it back on time. She kept asking again and again. I was getting irritated by this. I left to get my card. Came back with one hour and she had cancelled it herself in their system. She said she'd try to get it back in. Told me to have a seat. We left after and hour and a half. one hour in I asked her if she was able to get us back in or not. She got rude saying we were in. I let her know she had us sit to check over and hour ago. She got rude and kept referring to asking me earlier what she wanted me to do. I explained I answered her question repeatedly and don't know what else to say. Took it a step further and explained people with brain injuries really start losing patience when someone gets that way with them. So I waited another hour and left. The lobby had all been seen and a new lobby full of people had showed and a few had been called back too. That was it for me. Don't use this place unless you're pretty desperate and like being treated poorly. The staff doesn't understand medical conditions and how to treat people that may have them. We recently went in for a esophagus problems. The nurses were super nice and caring thank you for all the special care and help.. Our visit consisted of X-rays and CT scan. It took radiology 5 hours to read it. That was ridiculous. Also the X-rays and CT scans were done before the medicine to help clear esophagus, which is fine but they should had preformed another one after to see if anything has changed. The doctor came in and reported he had seen a MASS. I feel like that conversation could have been more professional considering he wasn't a GI. After getting scared and mentally disturbed we were transferred to an actual GI. After an overnight stay in the hospital and a day wait until the procedure. it was determined it was inflammation swelling and allergies. I will take the wait all over again but I cannot take a ER DR telling me the outcome when it really wasn't confirmed. Our ER visit took from 4 am until 12 when we got released to transfer. that wasn't pleasant. read more

Horrible experience. Was supposed to be called back with test results the next day. Never heard back. After 5 days I called back. Was asked for my phone number and some one would return my call with my results. Never heard from them. I had to call back once again. Will not be using this urgent care facility ever again. I saw Amanda the Nurse Practitioner today and I want you to know, She listened to me, She tested me, She took an Xray. She found my problem and along with her Attending Physician I left with the meds being prescribed and sent to the Walgreens across the street Where I went and picked them up. I see reviews complaining about the wait but you need to take in to consideration that you are a walk in. There are people in front of you and they take you in the order when you come in. This office is a scam. You may go there thinking it is an urgent care facility as noted in the name, but they will try to bill your insurance company as a doctor office visit. One man walked in without a face mask and was not social distancing and the lady up front didn't say anything about it! On Aug 16, 2021 my son had a appointment for 12pm to have his 3 year old daughter tested for Covid-19 virus. We arrived at 11:30am and checked in. At 12:20pm my son went in side to see when she would be seen. He was told she was next. At 1:30pm we drove away toward home, NextCare called at 2:27pm to say bring her around back to be tested. My son told them we had to leave and they said okay the appointment is canceled. They had posted the number of walk in with no appointments and it was apparent they were being seen first. This is disgraceful way to run a medical practice and I plan to report this to the medical board in Richmond, Va. NextCare needs to have their license revoked. I will never recommend or go to a NextCare facility again. read more

Don't go in there. Very dirty. Staff that doesn't seem to be very knowledgeable. Parts of the building literally fell down infront of us. There was absolutely no one in there yet there was a two hour wait. Should be a red flag when there are a bunch of lawyer signs about how they aren't responsible for their wrongdoings. All of the reviews of this place are clearly mistaken because I wouldn't come here for a paper cut without worry of being infected by their dingy materials. this place is a JOKE. the staff is terrible (especially the front receptionist) we have made appointments on multiple occasions in hopes maybe they were just behind on the previous visit and still wait for an hour to hour & half to even be seen. Then wait another hour or so in the room for the doctor that comes in for about 2 minutes max. With 3 young kids I can't express how hard it is. it is unacceptable, if you cannot meet the appointment times then DO NOT offer them. along with this, the "facility" looks as if it has NEVER been cleaned. i would highly recommend NEVER going here and wish they would just close down as they are not a professional health care center. read more

I recently went to NextCare on Plank road in front of the Home Depot and can genuinely say, I don't recommend this place to anyone. I went to go STD tested and I checked in at 3:17 and did not get called in until 5:11. Even once I was called into the office, I waited another 20 minutes before I was in a room. After that, the doctor made it seem like because it was getting late, my test didn't matter. I only got a pee test done and then was told to come back another day since it "isn't really important." I was never told when I would get any results back. I do not recommend going. read more

The triage nurse was great. The staff were nice. The wait was short. The doctor only saw me for 1 minute. She confirmed that I had the flu which I already knew I had been exposed to. She only listened to my lungs briefly, looked in my nose and ears, and told me that there was nothing to do because I had waited to long for tamiflu despite the fact that I am coughing up yellow/green phlegm. She didn't even suggest over the counter medicines for my symptoms. read more

I recently threw my back out. This is not something new, as I usually throw my back out at least once every other year. This pain was different, and it wouldn't go away on its own, so I found myself at Next Care one Sunday morning. The front desk staff is really friendly. The girls questioned me on my Virginia license (they're new, and they're horrific) and then set me in front of a kiosk, as the clinic strives to be paper free. That's swell, but the kiosk froze up on me, so the nurse assistant had to go over the same information with me later in the exam room. They have all new equipment at this location, as my blood pressure was taken with a fancy machine, the nurse just stood there and monitored it. There's even a TV in each exam room, mainly because I think they know you'll be sitting in there for a good chunk of your day. That's my only real complaint about Next Care, I was kept waiting for about an hour and ten minutes before I was seen, and then another twenty minutes to get my prescriptions and paperwork. That said, at these sort of places you should expect a wait if you don't get there when they open. They do try to see patients in the order that they arrived, but there were several sick kids in the clinic that morning that got preference over me, which is understandable. No one enjoys toddler meltdowns, and there was a baby howling for his life, so please, do go ahead and go in front of me. When I was finally seen by a PA, he was very friendly and helpful. He told me I should take two hot showers a day and told me what I could and couldn't do for the next couple of weeks. He did seem harried, but that's not surprised. They only have one PA and one doctor on staff most of the time, but I think this is on par for these kind of clinics. So, all in all I would go back to Next Care if I found myself in pain and unable to wait to get in with my primary care doctor. I'd just try and get there right when they open, or they have a service where you can check in online and they'll let you know when they're ready for you. Best of all, they're right next to Salsaritas, so you can grab a delicious lunch or dinner when you finally get out of there! read more

The whole experience was amazing right from the lady that checked us in to the nurse that performed test and the Dr we spoke too. I was here for a COVID test after an exposure. I was seen while in my car, literally for a total of maybe three minutes at most. My insurance was billed hundreds of dollars and I was still billed for what my insurance did not cover, i.e., $176.00. I have good insurance. I have been taking my kids to Nextcare for several years now. The staff is very friendly and the visits are usually quick. My problem is with the billing office. They sent me to collections for a bill I never received and said it was sent to me 3 times. Here's the problem, they say it was sent three times for X amount of dollars but the amount in collections isn't even the same amount I supposedly owe. The claim was paid by my insurance a month ago and When I called to speak to the billing office they were rude and of no help at all. They have no idea what they are doing and their billing is nothing but fraud if you as me. Check you EOBs before paying them!!! read more

I have been remiss to do a review for here. (I did not want it to get so popular that it would get very busy.) I come here whenever I get a sudden onset of some sort of sickness. I have also brought my children here as well. I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes. The doctors and nurses are wonderful and take their time listening to you and taking care of you. The receptionist is on top of things and is also pleasant. I always get a nice follow up call a few days later to make sure I am doing okay--who does that anymore? It seems as though this great place is totally underutilized and I think it is probably because it is in a quiet location. I would definitely recommend this place if you ever need an urgent care! However, I would love it if you came on a day I did not need to come! :) read more

In past any problems we when to the Next Care. The service was great. The LAST 3 times in the pass year the service has been very bad. One visit I had to seek different medical attention 3 days later after going to the location on Plank Road. It is a shame what this location has become. For me it has gone from a 5 star to a 1 star. What a shame !!!! Hopefully they will get their act together. The last straw was that my wife took my daughter in the Dr. gave a medication. She told him that she could not take it. One thing I live for is efficiency and expertise. Also convenience. My son had an earache it was Sunday and I'm not a fan of the ER because he's only 1. Found Nextcare and saw that not only were they open but stayed open until 4. When I got there the check in was fast and easy and the receptionist was friendly. We were in and out in under 45 minutes which I appreciate since it's hard to keep an ill 1 year old happy. The doctor and nurse who examined my son were amazing and kid friendly. It wasnt crowded when I went in and when I left.Anyhow I would definitely recommend this place to any parent who has a cranky ill child who can't make it to their normal pediatrician. read more

Drove an hour to this Nextcare and it was a waste of my time. This place was awful. I was the only patient there at 10:50am, everyone came after me yet I was there for almost 2 hours only to be sent to the hospital. The nurse was great, the Dr had a serious attitude problem and acted like I was bothering her by being there. I was there for an obvious broken finger and the other questionable. Also I had a sinus infection. The nurse took my xray and I waited for the Dr. She came in 20 min later and asked why I was there. I explained i had a sinus infection and about my fingers and that I'd come from my primary care Dr because they had done away with their X-ray equipment and I needed my hand to be be x-rayed...she said "Oh they probably just didn't want to do it because you had too many problems at one visit." EXCUSE ME?? What the heck is that supposed to mean?? She proceeded to tell me that I could only be seen for one problem especially because I came in at the busy time, but she would do me a favor and take care of both. GIVE ME A BREAK!! It takes literally 2 minutes to feel my head and look in my nose and mouth and diagnose a sinus infection. And like I said I was here first! The other 3 people came after me and by the time she even saw me I'd been there for an hour and 10 minutes! If she's slow as molasses that's her problem because she honestly couldn't be bothered treated patients with all their problems...oh yeah and not to mention she kept tapping on my GD broken and dislocated fingers! I almost hit her. This Dr seriously needs to change professions cause she was rude, unprofessional and not comforting or pleasant whatsoever!!!! read more

Usually when I take my kids or myself to Nextcare, the staff is really friendly. On this particular night, I got the Nurse Praticioner Cheryl Zimmerman/Brown. I told her I didn't want to take this one antibiotic cause I read that it can cause cancer. However, I suggested a different kind as I read that it's side effects are mild. Cheryl immediately got upset because of my suggestion. She told me she will prescribe me whatever she wants. I apologize for insulting her as that was not my intentions. I was only suggesting. Anyhow, didn't think she was really mad for that. She gave me my prescription, completely different than my preference. She gave me a cream instead of pill like I had asked. ( she was trying to show me who's boss and who gets to decide what). So I asked the receptionist if there was a mistake. She went back to ask Cheryl and she said they only prescribe cream. WTF. I asked the receptionist why she tried to prescribe me the pills I refused then? Busted! Cheryl came out pointing her finger at me yelling the fact that I should not come in here telling her what med she needs to prescribe. Uh hello, if you read the med can lead severe side effects versus mild, which ones would you take? I'm not a Doctor, but I'm not stupid. She got mad over me suggesting something. I wasn't even demanding. She even had the nerves to yank the papers from my hands and walk off telling "you and your googgling!" uh, when did I ever say I google anything? She was obviously having a bad day and she took it out on me. I've never seen anyone in the medical field that threw a tantrum like she did. Oh by the way, she made a false report on my current report too which I point it out. She flipped cause she got busted in her lies again. After she made a new prescription and history report, she added another lie to it and of course she prescribe me something that had a big warning sign on it! Geez the woman couldn't just give me my meds which were less severe and more successful. she was determine to make her point. I even apologize to her for her having a bad day. In which she replied "whatever" WTH she should be the one apologizing. I kept telling myself maybe she's having a bad day, her eyes did look red and watery, so I kept trying to stay calm and talk to her like an adult. I would not recomend you to see Cheryl Zimmerman/ brown. Horrible person, horrible NP, bad atittude, unprofessional and ughhhh! She'll probably respond to my post or get someone else to. I'm pretty it'll be obvious. Overall, nextcare is really a good clinic when you see dr. Campbell or dr. Joseph. Ive never had a problem with them or any of the staff. I've been more than ten times and this is the first crazy experience I had. I don't wish this experience on anyone. good luck! read more

This place was phenominal.....don't know why people are throwing nastiness out about this urgent care...The whole staff is extremely friendly and was very personal throughout my entire visit. After literally being seen for 60 seconds or less, I was barely given the time of day before I was told my paperwork was waiting for me at the desk- with NO follow-up of my reason for visit. I found this visit so frustrating that I made a Yelp account specifically to write this review- what a waste of time and money! This was my first (and last) visit.
