I have been in twice recently. The problem I encountered was the same each time. The incredibly long wait time. The wait time is significant enough that I believe I will be changing urgent care facilities. I have used Patient First since I moved to the area five years ago, but I shouldn't have to wait for an hour or two to see a physician or PA at an urgent care that doesn't have a full waiting room. I understand that sometimes there is a rush. That was not the case the last two times I have been in. Don't get me wrong, I have really enjoyed working with Patient First. The facility itself is great and very clean. The staff are friendly and caring. The doctors and PAs have always treated me with respect and been very helpful. But with all the competition there is for urgent care facilities in the area I think I can do better elsewhere. I am not sure what causes this facility to take so long. There seem to be enough staff to get people registered and enough nurses to take a history, BP, weight, etc. Perhaps the bottle neck occurs at the number of doctors staffed at any one time. I am sure an administrator could figure it out in ten minutes if they tried. Maybe now that they know they are losing business as a result of under staffing they will make changes. I know it is quickly becoming the reputation of the franchise. I got the chance to visit this place with my mom who got a little injury at home for urgent care. This place is so great when it comes to wait times, the kindness of front desk, billing, techs and doctors. Went here for my workman's compensation, regret coming here at all. I work in Pest Control which means I'm around hazardous chemicals every day I work, I was told that my dog bite while small, was not an "immediate concern" and that to wrap a plastic bag or wrap and to continue working. Our own gloves have to be of a special blend of nitrile and butyl, imagine what insecticides would do to plastic on a 90+ degree day. Staff was fine, doctors not so much, and the wait time was horrible. No point in having a walk in basis for the clinic if the wait times are more than an hour and takes less than 10 minutes to evaluate someone's condition. All I asked was a recommendation of light duty work, maybe a concern that working the usual load I do would be best advised against, but I was brushed off and ignored. If you can avoid it, don't come here and don't spend your money, most of these doctors are incompetent to say the least. Do not come here if you can avoid it, either the doctors are understaffed or clearly do not like their job. Either way, don't take it out on a concerned patient, thank you. read more

let's just say the two stars rating is accurate and up to their standards for this specific location only if I could give it zero stars I would those people come there not to work instead they seat there in groups chit chatting like it's college or on a lunch break meanwhile their on the clock getting paid .. today was by far my worst experience here I will go to other locations moving forward it's called urgent care they don't have enough patient to even pretend to be busy . Overall I'd give them a negative review, based on procedures not staff. I got there at around 6:30pm- the check in staff we're great, no issues with them at all. I was called back to an exam room at 7:30 they closed the curtain and left me there for 1.5 hours. I finally had to use the restroom, so I opened the curtain and inquired. The entire time I was behind the curtain, I could hear them bringing patients back to exam rooms, but I never heard any patients leaving. There must be a labyrinth of secret exam rooms scattered throughout this facility (think Harry Potter), where they keep people waiting for hours and hours and hours. I waited another .5 hour after using the restroom and I finally asked how much longer. I was told there was one patient in front of me but they couldn't tell me how much longer, I said I would be willing to wait another 15 or 20 minutes and the nurse explained that it would take longer than 15 or 20 minutes. I couldn't wait any longer than that and walked out; I was never even seen - I wasted three hours of my life. A couple of suggestions if you're reading this Patient First on Garrisonville Rd, Stafford. 1. Change your name, you clearly do not put patients first. 2. Add a wait time to your website so that non-emergency patients can determine whether they have the time to wait. As a side note, the text with a number that shows your place in line is useless once you're in an exam room where I suspect the patient tends to spend most of their time. 3. Manage your patients' expectations. If you have no intentions of doing one or two above, the least you can do is pop your head in every 40 minutes to let the patient know that you haven't forgotten about them, they are still in the queue, but you're just [insert placating excuse here]. If I had known I was going to have to wait three hours, I never would've stayed. I will avoid this place at all costs from now on. If you decide to risk it, may the odds be ever in your favor. read more

I went to this facility couple months ago and waited for at least 4 hours. Doctor was so bad. He gave me medicine didn't work and cough got worse. Came back to this same place 3 days later, PA prescribed stronger medicine and it gone away in 2 days. Then I received a letter from facility director apologizing for experiencing such a long wait and unusual in their practice. If you are sick and need help. I would skip this place and go to the hospital down the street. Worst customer service ever. If you don't like were you work then you need to switch your job. This place always has something and there's never a smooth process. my primary care doctor is supposed to be here, but I think I only met them once. The fees are different, so watch your bill. Even though they charge you up front expect more bills to pop up. Parking is the worst. Only 20 cars including doctors can park at this location. My wife recently had a bout of severe wrist pain. Her previous treatment for this was a short term steroid prescription and it worked wonders. Well the most recent episode happened over the New Year's weekend so her regular doctor was not available. She went to Patient First. After waiting 3 1/2 hours she finally saw a doctor. My wife is a very informed consumer of her health care and suggested the steroid script. The doctor refused saying that medication was "over prescribed." Well is certainly wasn't over used by my wife, who only was prescribed it once before. So she was sent home with a useless wrist brace. The refusal of Patient First to listen to and treat my wife resulted in her being in pain for days and she was unable to participate in cooking and other New Year's activities. Don't come here if you value your time as they do not. Waited for three and half hours with my son. Half in the waiting area and half in a room. Was only seen by a physician assistant. Left us in the waiting room with a positive Covid test for an hour and a half just to tell us he was positive, keep doing what you're doing and we were dismissed. Could have taken the five minutes they spent talking to us when they got the result hours earlier. This place is a joke. Went the other day. Haven't been since last year. Only to be told that I had a balance. Mind you I've been going here since 2015 and no one told me at all. So thank you Alexis, sweet blonde girl. Her and the young lady who did my vitals were super sweet. My Dr was also nice. The other Dr and I'm having a hard time recalling her name I've had bad issues with her before. But the other day I acted like I never seen her before. So I had let someone know the toilet in the woman's room in back wasn't flushing sounded empty and only a trickle of water came out the sink. If I was giving this facility a rating on the intake professionals the nurses for medical assistance it would be a much different score but instead I'm reading this on one particular person. THU HA T PHAN. First of all her bedside manner is extremely inadequate I've been in the healthcare industry for 16 years and her manner is one of the worst I've seen. They kept me waiting for two hours and 45 minutes in the room I checked in at seven I checked out at 9:45 she spent a few minutes with me explain why she could not give me a medication because it might have an interaction with other medication's which my regular physician who is away for the holiday has given me all the time she didn't care I just had surgery that morning. Apparently she thinks she knows more about medication than my MDs. It was clear from the obvious from the very beginning from the second she walked in the room no smile nothing she did not want to work on me or help me she spent four minutes with me total after I sat there waiting for her for three hours how dare you. read more

One star because I can't leave 0 stars. Brought my son who hurt his foot and couldn't walk. As we approached the door they closed it and locked it and walked away. I knocked and she asked what I wanted. I said for my son to be seen. She said we are closed. Admittedly it was 7:55, 5 minutes before closing. Visiting out of town and had a fall. The care was subpar sat there for about 3 hours in pain. The PA finally came in and went on the computer to ask me about my medication but it was another patients chart. Was never asked about meds until she made that error. So finally after sitting there in pain I went to get my X-rays the tech that did X-rays was very nice. So I go back to room the PA asked do I think its my heart or chest pain from fall. Ok that's what I'am here for I had to ask for a EKG was told by PA as to deter me if there is a problem with your heart we will send you to ER in ambulance. I said okay I'am fine with that. So I was walking and fell on bricks in street again in severe pain. So I feel on both knees and have had knee surgery on both knees why would you order only 1 knee X-ray. So after sitting there I finally left with a muscle relaxer not knowing what chest and knee X-ray showed. Was told radiologist would read X-ray tomorrow still haven't seen result. If I would have know no one could read X-ray would have went to ER. read more
