When it came time to moving out, I gave them a 30 days notice and vacated in the date I said I would, leaving the place just as clean as when I moved in. It's now been 3 weeks since moving out and they're still holding onto my security deposit. I would avoid using them as your property management team as they never check in on your property and I'd avoid renting from them as operate in shady ways, like keeping a security deposit for no reason other than being an irritation.

They selected and approved a tenant without ever discussing the applicant's credit with me. The credit profile was far below anything I would have accepted. As the owner, I should have been part of that decision, and I was never given the chance. The move-out inspection two years later documented the result: a garage full of trash, an abandoned refrigerator, appliances left filthy with food still inside, stained carpets, a broken front door lock, drywall damage, and failed patch-and-paint attempts that now require a full repaint. Second, unauthorized work. Between tenancies they repainted the living room without asking me first, on the theory that it would address a smoke odor. I was never consulted, the paint did not solve the problem, and I was left with the cost of a decision I had no say in. The pattern in both cases was the same: significant decisions about my property made without my involvement. I have since moved to another management company and the difference in communication has been immediate. I would not recommend them.

That meant hiding all of our personal belongings at a moment's notice (for those sudden showing requests), and actually making our bed every day, like civilised people.
