Fast forward to today and it is still a cool place AND most importantly, it still is open with a bunch of new stores. I think what makes this mall special is the collection of things it has in and around it. The restaurants here are all really good if you need any ideas for dinner. The stores are all good size and there's a movie theater. That's my main reason I have been there a lot recently. It is a huge mall and they're open early for folks just to walk around before stores opening. Kind of hard to believe considering the monoliths of today, but I try to imagine how awe inspiring it must have been (especially considering how it is still pretty spectacular). You can visit the building to do business at one of the many office located in the space, to grab a bite at one of the eateries or just to admire the architecture. It is often host to private events like wedding receptions, political rallies or gala fundraisers because of how gorgeous the lobby area is. If you are downtown, stop in and admire the beauty!

I purchased 4 pieces of sponge candy, 2 milk chocolate orange(for a present) and 2 dark chocolate. These four pieces of sponge candy weighed slightly over 1/2 pound!!! I have never seen sponge candy cut into such large pieces. I ate most of one dark chocolate piece. It had a very thick coating of chocolate over the sponge, and it was pretty good chocolate. It was the sponge that was not great. It was very dense, and it seemed not very fresh. It was difficult to bite off a piece. I could not eat the whole four plus inch piece of sponge all at one time. At $23.99/lb. the candy at this stand is reasonably priced compared to other candy stores. I just wish the sponge had been less dense and fresher.
