I took my AIO, nearly in panic, to the random Data Recovery place nearest me. I was genuinely worried that I might have lost a tremendous amount of a very important body of work The place turned out to be ASAP Data Recovery. Man, what a lucky break Daniel greeted me with a calm voice and a smile, then quickly interviewed me about my issue He quickly figured out what most likely could or would be the problem and gave me a very rough, informal estimate on the cost and the likely outcome of their effort Very importantly, he commited to finding out what had undeniably caused my computer's failure at absolutely no charge to me. His words were, roughly, "once we know exactly what has caused the failure we will get back to you with an estimate AND A LIKELY OUTCOME." The latter was very important to me (as it is to most other prospects, I suppose), because of the importance of the data hoped to be recovered Long story short, I got back EVERY SINGLE FILE I thought I had lost and I couldn't be happier! Price depends, needless to say, on the amount of data recovered, so it's pointless to mention anything regarding that, but suffice to say, I am very happy with the value of data recovery relative to its importance Value-wise, every case is unique, so you make up your own mind after the initial estimate but I am supremely happy with ASAP Data Recovery because I got EVERY SINGLE FILE that I needed and I picked up exactly where I left off once I got the files back All of that said, try to avoid the need for this service! Please, unlike me, back up all of your files religously after every session doing important work! Best of luck to you!

A few hours later my keyboard and trackpad started glitching. Panic mode. I jumped on Yelp because I didn't have time to roll the dice at the Apple Genius Bar and potentially lose a full day. I needed my laptop for school work that was due the next day. That's when I found Joseph. Calling him a computer repair guy feels disrespectful. He's more like a laptop surgeon! We sat down and he thoroughly inspected everything, explained exactly what liquid damage does internally, and broke it down in a way that even a non-tech person like me could understand. He used simple analogies to explain why certain components fail after spills, which honestly made the whole situation feel less overwhelming. Because I was on a tight deadline, he moved fast. He replaced the top case so I could get up and running immediately. We're calling that "Phase 1" -- basically a strategic band-aid so I could meet my deadline. I'll be going back next week for a deeper repair and full internal assessment once I have more time. What impressed me most: * Clear communication * Honest recommendations (no upselling) * Quick turnaround * Confidence without ego And yes -- he operates out of his home garage. Don't let that throw you off. It's basically a science lab in there. I was genuinely impressed by the level of equipment and Apple parts he had. It felt more like a specialized workshop than a random garage setup. I live on the Westside of LA and made the drive and I'd absolutely do it again. When you find someone competent and trustworthy, distance doesn't matter. If you're dealing with liquid damage, keyboard issues, or any MacBook emergency, Joseph is the real deal. Professional, smart, efficient, and genuinely cares about getting you back up and running. Highly recommend.

Choose these folks for your data recovery needs! I had two WD (called Western Digital when they…read moredrives were made) HDDs that I needed data from. I was unable to recover data from them in different ways. Disc one was an external drive that would not power on. I tried removing it from its external enclosure and powering it from another, more different enclosure to no avail. The system was indeed down. Disc two was an internal drive that used to be my C drive- my boot drive. I removed it from an old computer after it stopped booting and put it into an external enclosure. Several different computers (Mac & PC) would recognize it sporadically, though none could access the data on it- error codes always came up. Before I removed it, from the old computer, I tried booting from an optical disc and other assorted methods, many other assorted methods... I believe I was very thorough in my efforts. I sent both in and received near 100% recovery. They said it was 100% from one and 99.9% from the other but I am unable to find that .1%. I got all of this for just barely above the $300 price in their name (each, not total). So for about $600 total (including new discs on which my recovered data was transferred and return shipping) I got this incredible service. The total price I paid for both discs at 300DDR is less than I was quoted at several other places for one disc. At each step they were great communicators, from their receipt of the discs to my receipt of the recovered data. I hope I never need their services again but should, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend them.

And worse it was the one that held all my photos over the last couple of years. I'm an engineer by trade and with other files, I might have tried to rescue them myself. For these important photos, however, I decided to go with the professionals. I did a bunch of research trying to find the best data recovery service to use and $300 Data Recovery turned out on top. The employees here are very professional and responsive. I submitted my chances form at 7:30PM on a Saturday and they got back to me within an hour. I was not expecting a response over the weekend. They gave very clear instructions on how to package and send off my SSD. I dropped it off at UPS the next day and by Wednesday, they confirmed they received the device and added me to the queue. Apparently there weren't too many people in line before me so I received a positive response the very next day. 100% of sectors recovered! A couple of days later they were completely done and after I confirmed they recovered my files (they send a master list of all files) and I paid ($300 fee + $105 recovery transfer drive + $25 shipping), they shipped my drive back. Total time from my first contact to receiving my data back: 16 days, and this was including Thanksgiving in between. I am very satisfied with the service I got from $300 Data Recovery. Hopefully I never run into drive trouble again (it certainly made me backup my files more frequently), but if I ever need help, I'll definitely contact them again. Now I can finally post all my Yelp reviews from November and December that I was missing photos for...

I had an accident where I stepped on my legion go s screen and it shattered. I didn't expect it to break the entire screen, but only crack a portion of the screen. The fragility of the screen is significantly worse than I thought. I talked with several other tech repair shops and either they did not answer my request for a quote, took way too long to answer or gave a response that they could do nothing about handheld repairs, some gave bad replies. He was the best of 8 different tech repair shops I have encountered and not only the best, it was a landslide better than the competition. The only real issue I had was a very high price premium to fix my device. It was about half of what the actual device cost. Of course I got it on sale for about 700$. The service, labor and total cost to repair was $335. So, almost half of what I paid for the device at Best Buy. I learned not to place this fragile handheld on the ground to prevent it from getting damaged again. Overall satisfied with the outcome and Dory did fix it. Personality was good and time to fix was roughly 2 hours. Parking lot structure is terrible, not enough space and many other places nearby. There are other parking structures as well but it may get towed or even scratched due to compact spaces. Also a little unsafe as there are some loitering. Overall, It's good but not the greatest in terms of value but Dory been doing this for many years roughly 15 as I recall.
