Stay away from this company. I ordered a computer back panel and later found out they didn't even have the part. What's shown online is not what you actually get. When I tried to cancel, they kept sending me in circles and told me to email support. Two days later, I received a completely irrelevant response. I went into the store, and instead of fixing the issue, the owner argued and claimed he didn't have time. After I left, he called trying to convince me not to cancel. I clearly told him to proceed with canceling and to send confirmation. I still haven't received anything. Every time I call, they argue and hang up. I can't say enough about David and his business. My 2017 MacBook Pro kept shutting off, and it seemed like a battery issue. I paid $250 for a battery replacement, but the problem continued. From the start, I had clearly communicated that I only wanted to pay for a battery replacement, since my computer was older, I wasn't interested in pouring money into bigger repairs. After three battery replacements, It turned out the real issue was the motherboard, and to my surprise, David replaced it at no extra charge. That level of honesty and integrity is rare these days. One time when I was a child, I found a tick on my shoulder. It had embedded itself into me and was engorged on my blood. I went to a dr who tried pulling it out with tweezers. The body came out but the head stayed embedded. They gave me some numbing shots and then took this metal straw looking thing with a serrated edge and gouged a hole into my shoulder to remove a chunk of skin, including the head of the tick. Dealing with Tekdep made me miss those good old days. I ordered a replacement Mac screen on May 2nd. Said order received and will ship "soon" for one week plus. I called, they said they were out of inventory but will get some in "soon". I said I wanted to cancel. They said someone would call me back. Never heard anything. I sent an email online...said they'd respond in 3-5 days. They didn't for about 2 weeks. I filled out a cancellation form...just never heard back. I wasn't able to cancel it. Meanwhile I ordered the screen from Apple. It cost less and arrived sooner. The Tekdep order eventually arrived and I've been unable to return it. They just don't get back to you. read more

I typically do not write reviews but for this case I have to. I ordered a 2021 MacBook Pro LCD replacement. The part was delayed for roughly two months. When it came, I sent an email to start a return because the technician did not want to do the repair after that much time. No one ever responded or followed up with that email. The technicians performing the repair caved after I begged. He inspected it and confirmed the LCD was damaged and non-functional. I sent an email later that evening outlining this to tekdep. After 7 actually days (5 business days) they still had not responded so I had to call them in store and sit on the phone until some one finally responded to the email. They said I waited too long and it was outside the return date (which is 30 days). I asked for the return exactly 7 days after I received the product but no one followed up until my second request. This company has poor customer service as i had to reach out to them SEVERAL times just to get an update on initial delivery. It was not until 1 month later that i got upset on the phone that someone finally told me what was happening. This company does not keep their word. As I have several emails showing my attempt to contact and return and they just ignored it (yes i received the auto generated email the system gives, so they did receive my email). Above all, the LCD was faulty. They sell tech, it was delayed. when it came, it was faulty. When I wanted a refund, they threw their hands up and said its my fault. be warned guys read more

I needed to get the back glass replaced on an iPhone 13 Pro and waited months to try to figure out where to take it. The Apple Store had initially quoted me a price but recommended I take it elsewhere(!?) Originally, the glass was replaced by a nearby store but it soon broke again even in a case. They also told me they had to remove the Magsafe magnet so that feature no longer works. I brought it for its second back glass replacement to Tekdep and they replaced it easily within a few hours. They also said they could have kept the Magsafe intact. I really wish I had brought it here originally. David and Arman are really easy to work with and friendly. Their YouTube channel is great too. The store is easy to get to on Topanga across from the Topanga Mall. There's plenty of parking in the back and an easy pathway to the front entrance next to Shake Shack. Short Version: We brought them a damaged SSD hard drive out of an old Microsoft Surface for data recovery and after months of effort, they were able to retrieve the data. Very happy with TEKDEP. Long Version: The computer bluescreened and wouldn't boot. We initially took the PC to another place and they couldn't get it to boot either, so it turned into a data recovery. The other shop literally broke the screen to get to the internals and ultimately reported back that they couldn't recover anything and just gave it back to us. We took it to TEKDEP, explained the history and that ultimately, we just wanted the data and most importantly the pictures. TEKDEP discovered that the drive itself was damaged (most likely by the previous shop) and it was going to be difficult as a result. TEKDEP originally worked on it in-house for a couple weeks. Over the course of months, they worked with two other data recovery places and ultimately were successful, we got the long-lost family pictures back. We are very thankful and appreciative to the owner David and his staff for sticking with it and continuing to try to find a solution. We highly recommend them. read more

Computer repair? I wouldn't trust these guys to change a light bulb. A colossal waste of time, money and effort after visiting their store an exhausting and infuriating SIX TIMES for what should have been a very basic issue. After they had my precious MacBook for an incredibly long 11 day struggle, after twice failing to replace the battery, they finally swapped out the original motherboard, curiously and oddly claiming it had liquid damage (after the Apple Store diagnosed it solely with a battery issue). ALERT !!! WARNING TO ALL !!! They never bothered to ask me if I had my data backed up on a cloud. All my applications are gone including expensive software like Final draft and Final Cut. If I didn't have a cloud, all 50,000 photos, videos, documents and memories would have vanished. They were incredibly thoughtless, careless and negligent. I feel like their victim. They're called TekDep but I'm sure their customers know them as DeepSh--t since you're IN IT DEEP from the second you walk through their door. Last year, they took over the old UPS store location. They should've opened up a candy store. P.S. Read the bad reviews and remember, where there's smoke, there's fire so run away from this tragedy of a store and don't get burned. I scrolled to the bottom and found out they had a physical shop location and it was less than 15mins from my home. I brought my iPhone to Tekdep to get my front and rear screen replaced because they were cracked. They replaced the screens in a reasonable amount of time. However, within a week, my screen became extremely touch sensitive and colors would glitch like crazy. When I brought it back in to Tekdep, they told me it was because I dropped it which was not true. I ended up taking it to another local iPhone repair shop and when they went to investigate the problem, they found shards from the back that weren't properly cleaned out when I got my screen replaced and also noticed that one of the shards had punctured the battery.
