I tried replacing the battery in my primary laptop but stripped the screw heads holding the old dead battery in place. Expletive! Thank goodness these guys responded so quickly. I walked in and dropped off my machine with the new battery in its packaging this afternoon. It was finished in about an hour and for a reasonable price. TLDR; Failed to repair the Surface Pro when agreed, didn't communicate well, was lied to on the phone and had to go pick up the Surface and do the repair myself (easy, took 2 hrs and 1/3 the money on Amazon). The reviews are for a different operator, I wouldn't trust them. So my son uses a Surface Pro as his AAC device, the device he uses to talk to the world. It needed a simple repair, and I was suckered into the 4.7 star review on Google. Unfortunately, it is a new operator who has taken over the location and I did not get 4 star service. I prepaid for the service (big mistake, don't do this, as I am now stuck disputing the charge with the CC as they will not refund a penny even though they didn't do any work, and said they would process the refund), and we set a plan for dropoff to limit the time my son would be without his communication device. I do my part and then hear nothing from them. I call in the afternoon and am told the tech isn't working that day, but he'd call me in the early evening with an update. Then days go by. Days where my son can't use a usable but cracked device. I finally call after work on Monday, and nothing has been done. They don't even have the parts. Instead of an apology, or any acknowledgement that the situation could have been handled better, I am met with a hail of excuses and deflections. Ultimately, I go to pick up the device and its more of the same. For a few minutes, he refused to give me back the Surface, even though he knew it was an AAC device for a disabled child, because I "wasn't ready to listen" to him. When I made it clear I was prepared to sue him for depriving me of property he knows I own, he relented and gave the device back, but while he was doing that I was treated to increasingly abusive muttering of "I wish you told me how annoying you were, I would never have helped you" and "Good luck getting anyone to work on this, its never getting fixed" etc. read more

Researched on yelp for a highly rated screen repair shop and chose Dr. Digital based on the reviews. Took an iPhone 6 in for repair after the screen cracked from a drop. The initial price and deal on yelp is for a generic brand and sprung for the OEM for $80 (hence customers concerns for "bait and switch"). After 2 weeks, the phone was glitching and there was green/grey static lines on the screen. It also wouldn't register any touch screen movements. After a couple of hard resets, the phone went back to normal. Fast forward to 6-8 weeks later, the phone turns on but the screen barely registers any color (imagine static TV) and no touch movements at all. Took the phone to a different vendor who changed out the screen and is now working properly. Fast fix, price is fair for the valley, but quality is subpar. read more

Hello thanks for getting back to me. After reading this second response you sent, I need to say this. I've never heard of a screen not working correctly due to a lower price. What you told me was if I didn't care about quality of the screen (pics etc.) then go purchase lower grade. Regardless of me getting an up grade (1 year from now) My phone freezes on me several times daily with it being impossible to turn my phone on/off or anything at that matter. I've had to leave my phone alone when I'm clearly getting phone calls and cannot pick up. I appreciate you trying to swap it to the better choice (seemed you changed your mind) but I've taken my phone to another business and haven't had one problem. My suggestion would be inform the clients about what happens when they purchase that screen from you. read more

My Dell laptop went to a black and white flickering screen whenever it came out of sleep mode. I took it to Best Buy and a asked a couple other places who said that I would probably have to change the mother board and it would be about $300, but there were no promises, and I would to pay for a diagnostic. Judah and his team figured out it was a software issue as opposed to a hardware issue. They made me a "50/50" offer, meaning $50 to diagnose, and $50 IF they fixed it. Dr. Digital's Tarzana office (now Los Angeles Phone Freaks) was really great. I thought that it would be a simple battery replacement, but before we started, I was warned that it could be a problem with the phone, in which case, because of the age and impending obsolescence of my model, it would not be worth it to repair my phone. I even got an excellent suggestion for an appropriate substitute phone model to consider. I chose to go forward with trying the battery replacement, but it didn't fix the problem. The already reasonable price was reduced, although I had made the decision to try the battery replacement. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Great service with skills. I came in because Dr. Digital is the first one reply my request. I came in for my broken screen and old battery. Staffs ( sorry for not remembering their names) are very nice and take my phone for inspection and repair without waiting. There are OEM screens and after the market screens. They don't give you pressure to up sell you. I choose oEM ones anyway. Phone got repaired within 45 minutes. Very thorough check through before he hands the phone to me. Very professional.
