Usually with a big purchase I like to wait to post my review.....so here it is. I visited nice cars after my car was totaled by an uninsured driver back in February. I spoke with Bob and told him I was thinking of just paying cash instead of leasing another new car, as long as I could find a dependable one. He showed me a 92 Acura that looked to be in great shape with low miles. He even allowed me to make a few payments just to help me out. I have been driving my Acura over 6 months with 1 minor issue that I was able to fix myself with a little google research. Bob comes off as a nice Grandpa and an honest guy, but if you are looking for a seller who will be truthful with you, he is not your guy. He will say whatever it takes to sell you a car. Found a car that looked good on their site. Looked up the company on their site and half the review said they were terrific and half said stay away. Since I live 90 miles away I was reluctant but then decided to do more research. I asked if they would take the car to a mechanic I had found for a pre-purchase inspection and they agreed to do so. That came back fine so I asked for the VIN so I could research the vehicle. Carfax came back fine and all other internet hits confirmed everything they said about the car. One owner, no accidents, no issues to worry about. Then had them ship me the car and it was great! Exactly as described. read more

Do not buy from here. Bob was a nice guy and very easy to talk to at the dealership. But that all pchanges right after you buy a vehicle. My wife and I bought a very clean vehicle and within 2 days of owning the vehicle the check engine light came on, transmission went to complete crap, and there are problems with the cars computer system. It is pretty obvious that they just cleared the codes and knew the check engine light would come back on. This is one of the dirtiest things you can do as a salesman. I called Bob for help 2 days after I bought the car and his response was "And why are you calling me?" He showed no remorse whatsoever in the lemon that he sold me. This was the absolute WORST car buying experience we've ever had. read more

Buyer beware! I think the concept of what these guys are doing is good, that is building up and converting older TDI vehicles, but in practice, a lot of corners are cut. I wish I could say their intentions are good, but there are a lot of documented examples (search TDIclub.com) where there's proof they try to disguise issues. Scam is a strong word, but it would seem to apply. If you have to buy a vehicle from these people, make absolutely sure that you scrutinize every possible detail, every single feature of the car. And PLEASE get it checked out by a reputable, third party TDI mechanic before you give these people a dime. Lastly, get any promises in writing and be prepared to take it to court. BUYER BEWARE! I was told there was nothing wrong with the car I bought. Toyota Camry. Old but "with lots of life left in it". Bob did not disclose that antifreeze was leaking into the oil. Head gasket blown! He refused to do anything to make it right though he admitted he failed to disclose the real condition of the car. Don't waste your money! He is a total scam artist! read more

The only thing nice about nice cars is Bob, but that is just a facade because he will tell you anything to sell you a car. I bought a truck from him. He said he checked it out, after showing me and "talking shop" for a looong time. He said the only thing wrong with the truck was the cracked windshield, which he split the price of and the breaks were at about 50-70%. Turns out the breaks needed to be replaced along with the struts. The ad said the ac and heat worked and the stereo. The ac does not work. or does the stereo. I wish I knew more about cars, I wouldn't have been sucker punched here. Is no one honest anymore? At least don't say outright lies especially when you know you are lying. :( read more

Buyers BEWARE!!! they are a bunch of con artist. My friend bought a car from them and has had nothing but a bunch of problems. Her car from day one had fuel and oil leaks. Exhaust hanger was broken. They called it fixed by hose clamping it. The car was so badly out of alignment that after driving it only 300 mile the new tire were bald. They charger her for European bumpers but just painted USA bumper to look like the European ones. They also charged her for driving lights they never installed. About 1 year ago, you sold me a vehicle that almost ended my life three times. The first, was about 200 miles away from your shop, when the wheel fell off of the car you sold me. The second, was not after the whole rigged electrical system failed when I got home from Bellingham, but two weeks after that when the bracket on the engine broke, and the engine nearly fell out onto the street. After this, I was flat broke, with a piece of shit car, and I attempted to end my own life without success. Then, just after Christmas, I was sandwiched between two cars on the freeway...just like you! The Curse has been broken. I washed my hands of the single most mentally stressful and financially draining experience of my life. You changed my life Bob. I no longer trust in my fellow man. I am no longer kind hearted. We take our TDI back to them for basic maintenance and tune ups. They are always so helpful and friendly We actually drive from out of state just to do business with them. After finding a listing online for a Ford Ranger XLT in Oct 2017, i went to the lot and found out that the truck had already been sold. However Bob showed me the truck they had been using for running errands, etc., a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT, with a canopy, with 193540 miles. The truck now has 208,265 miles with nothing needed more than normal upkeep and repairs. The truck has hauled lots of wood, besides taking me to work. Nice Cars met my needs! I was on a search for the best priced VW Jetta, in the best possible shape. But I really preferred leather interior. They had a beautiful jetta but it wasn't leather interior. Bob gladly replaced the fabric with leather seats, installed a brand new clutch, and helped me make an excellent decision. They know more about Volkswagens and are excited to relate to their customers. the dealership itself is like an art studio and a worth while field trip, especially if you're searching for the right vehicle. read more

OK, but not impressed. Bought a Golf here. Decent price, car ran well for the first few months. The owner was very nice, but once money had changed hands i feel like her gave me the run around some- not getting the things he had agreed to do done in anything close to the time we had talked about, AND i found out from my mechanic that he had not done some important things that he assured me he had (transmission fluid and timing belt). the Transmission is now slipping (i'ts been about 9 months). read more

I paid about $18,000 for what was to be a beautifully restored 1996 BV4 Passat TDI wagon, fully restored, new "showroom quality paint" and all kinds of new parts, tuned and ready to go. What I received was nothing but. I cannot tell you the headache, heart ache, and financial loss that Bob's empty promises cost me. Where to start?...the right rear brake caliper broke off, damaging the rotor and burning a flat spot into the tire (this happened when the car was being driven down rather than shipped as promised by Bob). The caliper and rotor were paid for by Bob but refused to pay for the tire. The rear shocks were absolutely and devastatingly and dangerously shot; Bob said they were "brand new," and refused to pay for their replacement. As if that wasn't enough, as soon as I took possession of it, the driver's door lock came out of the handle right there in my driveway. The steering column was completely loose in the assembly and there was diesel fuel leaking down the front of the engine. The body line was off, most likely from spotty dent repair. The leather interior I had paid for as an upgrade was old and cracked and significantly worn. The sunroof rattles, the stereo slides around loosely, the leather in the shift boot was loose, and then the passenger side door lock came out on the mechanic while he was repairing the locks. The paint had scratches and ghosting marks all over it, with a big run! of paint on the right side. The rear window was not tinted as promised so it didn't match the other windows. Unbelievable. And this was supposed to be one of, "The most beautifully restored TDI's on the planet?" Are you kidding me?!!!!! I learned a real brutal lesson on this transaction. I attempted to return the car to Bob for thousands less, he refused. Bob is a professional scammer, do not underestimate him. He provides the absolute minimum restoration possible on these rare TDI's, done by hack unskilled workers; and rakes in huge amounts of money for it by targeting a niche audience and making endless claims about the merits of the vehicles and the restoration. He will compromise your safety by delivering a marginal product and and laughs all the way to the bank. I urge you to learn from my mistake, don't be Bob's the next victim. read more

buying a VW tdi from this company has been the worst car-buying experience of my life. if you do decide to buy a car from this outfit, do not trust what you see or what the owner says. have the car checked by a reputable diesel mechanic. you are dealing with a used car salesman, and as far as i can tell, incompetent on-site mechanics. look for your diesel car elsewhere - it'll be a lot less expensive too. read more

Nice Cars Tdis in Bellingham, Washington sold us a $14,500 VW passat wagon tdi that has numerous, significant mechanical problems and cannot pass smog inspection. Before purchase have your car inspected by a diesel mechanic, give no money up front and negotiate for a resonable purchase price. They will run out of suckers eventually and have to look for honest work. read more

One of the biggest mistakes of my life dealing with this place. I bought a car that need to a clutch replaced the mechanic messed everything up. There were missing bolts and parts falling off the car as we drove down the road. I went back the next day to see if they would make things right. The owner freaked out yelling at my wife.
