Some of the entrees look appetizing like the jalapeño chicken, orange chicken etc ... the fried fish was actually pretty good . The cashier was like a zombie . I give this place a 3.5. The noodles and rice good. The vegi eggroll is very good, I should have ordered 2. The Kung Pow is good, even without peanuts ( would have been outstanding if it had peanuts). The orange chicken flavor is good, sweet and good flavor! This place is simply wonderfully fantastic. I've never eaten somewhere where they pack the boxes so full of yummie food they hardly shut. At times they won't even shut, and I'm perfectly OK with that. It amazes me every time I go there, as I watch them filling up the to-go box and I'm thinking, OK now they can't put anymore in, and then they do. Then I'm thinking OK now that's absolutely the most they're gonna put in there. And then they put in even more. To me the food is also amazing and taste and texture. Everything is cooked perfectly, vegetables crisp, meat tender noodles to perfection, rice is fantastic. I don't know how it could be done any better. To the naysayers who want to rag on this place I have some advice for you: go somewhere else, you clearly don't appreciate this place for the nugget that it is. Instead of complaining about what you think it's not, try some appreciation for what it truly is, as it's one of the finest of its kind. I've been going here for over 15 years. Since we moved back to San Diego in 2010, I've been on the lookout for a Chinese fast food restaurant similar to the Riverside County Chinese fast food chain Mr. You. Mr. You Express Chinese Food in Moreno Valley, CA. was our family's Chinese go to because of their tasty and scrumptious entrees as well as value for your money. In other words, Mr. You packed our styros whenever we ordered their 2 entree combos. It's taken 11 years to finally find a Chinese fast food restaurant that is Mr. You's doppelgänger. Escondido represent with their Chinese fast food restaurant aptly named Nice Food Restaurant. Nice Food is located in the heart of Escondido specifically North Broadway. The restaurant is located within an outdoor shopping center. It's next to a cellphone business. Due to Covid, the restaurant is solely operating as take-out only, which was evident by the restaurant having tables pushed towards the hot food line and the center of the restaurant being wide open. I'm assuming the tables being buttressed upon the food line and the large plexiglass shielding the employees from customers are precautionary measures against Covid. Similar to Mr. You's, there are combos and bowls that you can select where you're able to select a variety of Chinese food dishes lined up on a steam table. Nice Food has a good amount of dishes to choose from where you select and then pay at the end of the line. Definitely an opportunity area for Nice Food employees is to be more friendly and customer service oriented. Although your food might be delicious, customers appreciate quality service. It's taken 11 years, but I finally found a Chinese fast food restaurant that serves delectable Chinese food and isn't stingy when filling your container with the Chinese food you choose. To be fair, I did find a Chinese fast food restaurant in the East County called Lucky Chinese Food that is similar to Mr. You's where they serve amazing food and they fill your container with mountainous amount of food, but Lucky Chinese is too far from the North County. Plus, I had eaten there today and I was turned off by their closure of their bathrooms for use by customers. I'm thankful that the North County has a Chinese fast food restaurant that meets my desired criteria. At any Chinese fast food restaurant, I gauge their food through my two Chinese food staples: orange chicken and kung pao chicken. For my combo, I ordered half fried rice, half noodles, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. The rice and noodles were fresh and seasoned right, the orange chicken had a memorable sweet and tangy essence, the kung pao was spicy and yummy, and both chicken dishes had an ample amount of tender chicken. I smiles ear to ear as I witnessed the server generously packing my container. It was a long journey to find that elusive Chinese fast food restaurant that served delicious Chinese food and wasn't stingy when serving the entrees I selected. Nice Food, you'll be seeing me often, but have your employees live up to the name of your restaurant. Being nice goes a long way. read more

Everytime this craving hits, I always find myself taking a trip to Nice Foods just to get a combo with these noodles. And the best part is, this restaurant has some the best prices in town if you are hankering for some Chinese take out! Nice Foods is a Lifetime Favorite but I haven't eaten here for a while. Most items were fresh/hot/delicious except for the orange chicken. It was piled high in the warming table which usually means the cooks had just brought out more but it had the dry consistency of shredded chicken for tacos. Might have been a new cook or something. This place is ALWAYS busy so I know nothing ever sits being dried out by the warmer table unlike that place called P$nda E$pres# ! :) No complaints but I will ask for a sample next time before committing to having orange chicken in my order.
