Every single person I've interacted with has been so incredibly kind, so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. They have a full coffee menu, make their own syrups, and often have an employee special that's fun to try! Don't skip a drink! They also offer an array of pastries and bread. I love their almond croissant, even though it's not usually my first choice. There are so many layers and it's so flavorful. I'm also a big fan of their breakfast sandwich, mostly because it comes on a croissant. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try next time you are in the area, you won't regret it. And heads up that they also have a spot at the Orenco Farmers market so you can grab pastries there as well!

The turkey bagel was made from fresh ingredients and well packed, it was a delicious way to start the day! While I was exploring more of Forest Grove I was thinking back to what I was charged, thinking it was a quite a bit more than my last visit here, and I did look back at the menu and realize I was charged double for my half loaf ($9 for a half loaf of bread). I totally understand mistakes happen, I went back and the staff were very helpful in finding my order and refunding me the amount I was over charged. Can't wait to try more from Slow Rise!

Borderline hungry, I decided to check it out. Sue was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the steak taco and quesadillas. While those were being made, Sue and I ended up chatting on many topics. She connects at a personal level and I love how much of a story teller she is. She let me try a specially made street corn on the cob, oven-roasted and topped with Cotija cheese and Tajin Seasoning. It was absolutely delicious. The taco and quesadilla were out of this world scrumptious. I don't remember when I had a steak taco and quesadillas that delicious. I'm definitely going to be calling her next time I need authentic Mexican food made with love. She caters for those who need that service.

I have spent some time in different regions of Mexico and each is unique in their cuisine. Her cuisine is not overwhelmed with chilli or salt like most Mexican Resturant and taco cars do. You can enjoy Sue's tacos and taste the flavors of Mexican cuisine. My favorite are everything but I must have the nachos. Really enjoy Sue's tacos and having a nice conversation with her. Nice addition to Forest Gove. If you have not been there, you are truly missing out . ENJOY!

I am just not sure how to rate Casa Lola…read more.. My wife called at 10 to ask if they were open yesterday, (Sunday) as they were scheduled to serve brunch. She was told they open at noon?? Yet their website states the following: Sunday: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM I do see they have 4 stars overall. I gave it 5 stars a year and a half ago. It definitely doesn't warrant 5 stars. The scheduled hours in the front window area is missing half of the numbers. The threshold is filthy. The knife in my roll-up had something crusted on it. And we were told very nicely, by our server Johana, that she hoped the Chef would come back, as he had left earlier. Whew...he came in after we were there about 10 minutes. We arrived at 4:00. And the last irritant...the music sound level. I wanted to ask Johana to turn it down, but just put it off. We were told at 10:00 Casa Lola becomes a night club...fine, but at 4:00 on a Sunday. Johana was terrific and the food was good. My Al Pastor Tacos were okay. Not great, but not bad. Black beans and rice accompanied all of the dishes and they also were good...not great. My wife, being a vegetarian, had the Enchilada's stuffed with carrots and potatoes. She loved the sauce, even though it had queso fresco on top, as she had requested none be served. Again, Service 5 stars, Food 4 stars, Misc. 0 stars It will be interesting to see if the restaurant is open one year from now.

Oregon laws protect individuals from being treated differently because of their gender identity or sex. Other than common overpriced drinks, the men's restroom is a nightmare. The club BARELY OPENED and the floor was flooded with piss. No joke I had to buck my hips forward in order to reach the urinal. And the one single soap dispenser was empty? They send security to poke their head in but not a janitor to clean up? The whole dance floor was stained with piss. And all the men with piss on their hands passing drinks... At least invest in better sound equipment. Music quality is terrible. Louder doesn't mean better. Disappointed this is my towns club. Going back to portland.
