My loved one was getting conversation and goal setting for the first time and loved it. It all dropped away suddenly when personnel changes and scheduling changes interred with visits. In this field consistency and reliability are crucial for progress. As a healthcare coordinator missed appointments affect the chain of care elsewhere. It's like a tight puzzle to coordinate care. Lighthouse unfortunately dropped the ball a few too many for me to give the glueing review I had started. My loved one still looks forward to their visit and working toward goals.

Horrible. Volunteer admission and before the tour after signing in was done I already knew this…read morewasn't the place to be. During pre-admission phone call you're told false information. Once they have you signed in and you're taken to the back(locked in) you're given the "tour" of the public bathroom with all 5 stalls ,couple sinks, trash can running over with trash, and the back of the bathroom equipped with a half length pull over to shut grungy plastic shower curtain for your utmost privacy for the numerous open room of showerheads. With the metal water mop bucket (on wheels) and industrial size mop still in the dirty water for your convenience, I assume? Why is there a nasty water mo bucket parked in the corner of the multiple patient shower/bathroom?? There's no drinks nor snacks(except for the water fountains in the hallway and the small bag of chips or pretzels; your choice of one, and room temperature water out of the water fountain. No blood work was checked so you really aren't sure what is being shared with you via public showers/restrooms and public H2O fountains. Did I mention this place is CoEd and I was told by nursing everyone here are adults and adults do things. So please is you do ,use protection. What?! Was it really jus told that? Yes I definitely was told that. No TB check, nothing. Well,a dip stick urine pregnancy test was given. The smoking area outback was disgustingly nasty. More cigg buts on the ground then in the one ashtray post they had out there. What looked like dried up spit ,goobers, and old blackened, smashed to the little bit of concrete patio they did have, spots stuck all over it ,old gum?food? Snot? Your guess is as good as mine! Lights out at 10pm. Basically no food or drink after 8 or 8:30 pm (small bag of chips and water fountain) til breakfast at 7am. The "catered" meals were smaller then the smallest buffet I've ever seen. Everyone picking at it randomly, most using thier fingers. Thanks but no thanks,I'll pass. The bedrooms they said I'd have A roommate. I had 2 roommates. The boxspring had wet stains half the way down all the sides. The mattress had 2 round shaped wet stains on it. Small flat pillow without a pillowcase. The small 2 drawer nightstand each bed had was made of cheap press board and the second drawer was stuck tight and wouldn't open. No TV and the overhead light came on because it was on a motion sensor. Just turn over in your bed or stretch your arm out and the overhead ceiling lights would come on and stay on until you got up and turned them off by the wall switch at the door. I told them immediately I wasn't happy with the condition of the facility and wanted to sign back out. I was told no they couldn't do that until the "higher ups" came in at 7 and 8 am. At 7am I was told no not 7 but 8am. At 8 I was told I had to wait til 9 or 10 cause health inspection was coming and everyone was too busy to help me due to everyone cleaning to prepare for the inspection. I finally had to get ugly and demand to be seen, to get someone to get a "higher up" and he(dont know his name because he didn't introduce himself) was rude, sarcastic, mocking and spoke down to me. He continued to tell me he couldn't let me leave from the back(locked in) until he took care of some other things so I was just going to have to wait. I told him I most certainly will NOT wait ,I have been getting the run around since the night before. I demanded he open the door and let me into the lobby and if he did not I wil consider that to be holding me against my will. Only then did he reluctantly open the locked door to the waiting room/lobby. Then again he continued to stall me asking me "Do you have any idea how much paperwork is involved to releasing someone?" I told him no I dont so we better get started now if there's so much to it. He refused and told me I had to wait he had other things to do 1st. I finally got my belongings and I walked out. My husband picked me up. I couldn't have felt more a prisoner in jail then that poorly run place. They shouldn't even be allowed to remain open. Oh a treatment consists of doping everyone down with a cup full of pills. Eat, meds amd most all go back to bed and sleep the dy away. This rotates 3 times a day breakfast lunch and supper. If yu really want rehabilitation for yourself or loved one then DO NOT go to Freedom . I rank it -- 0
