We've been going to this dentist since the first dentist visit for our first kid, now 7 years old. Now our second kid comes with his older sister. They always make the kids feel comfortable and even excited to go back and get toy surprises. The office is clean and totally geared toward kids, with toys in the lobby and even a horse saddle for the x-ray chair! There's lots of colorful fun artwork on the walls, TVs on the ceiling make our kids smile! while getting their teeth cleaned!! They also have fun contests a few times each year, like send in a postcard with prizes for nearest, furthest, most colorful, etc. They don't take accept insurance, but we keep going even though they're out off network for us. Plenty of off-street parking in a small free parking lot. I would usually like to add lots of photos with my review. Sorry, I got photos only of my kids getting their teeth cleaned. read more

Dr Ching came highly recommended by our pediatrician and close friends. He and his staff are very caring and made sure our 18 month old had a good first appointment. The clinic itself is setup very well with several entertaining play areas , retro arcade games and definitely puts the kids to ease. Only bummer was that they don't take delta dental which makes it a longer process to get out of network reimbursement - still waiting . Otherwise a perfect dentist for your toddler! read more

Today we took our 18m old for his first ever dentist appointment and this place was so great. Lots of toys and things in the waiting room helped him feel comfortable, and Dr. Nick did an exam while we held our son - and he and his staff were really great while he melted down. lol Very welcoming, friendly, and spoke right to our little one. I was having intense pain while nursing our newborn baby and she would struggle to use baby bottles--she would gag or gulp too much air. Concerned, we took her to multiple doctors appointments and finally met with an ENT nurse. After consulting an ENT nurse at the hospital, we still weren't quite sure what to do, especially when the ENT nurse said it would be up to us and didn't help us to come to any clear conclusions on whether or not we should go through with having her tongue-tie released (and a large bill on top of that). After talking with some friends, we decided to make an appointment with Dr. Nick. He first recommended that we read the book, "Tongue Tied" by Richard Baxter, to learn more about tongue ties and how they can affect nursing, speech, feeding, etc. This book helped us to finally decide whether or not to "release" her tongue-tie. Dr. Nick didn't pressure us nor was he wishy washy. He wanted us to know about the facts and gave us advice based on his professional experience. It was great to finally get the medical knowledge and advice that we needed. Ultimately, we decided to trust Dr. Nick with our 3 month old baby. To be frank, going through with a tongue-tie is not for the faint of heart. You'll cringe because your baby is in pain after having her tongue-tie released, because as a parent, you feel her pain too. Dr. Nick patiently explained the tongue-release process, what to expect, and how to maintain and take care of her tiny wound, ensuring that her tongue-tie didn't reattach itself. I can't stress this part enough. There are exercises that you must do to keep your baby's tongue-tie from reattaching itself. I'll keep the details to myself, but if you don't follow-through with them, your baby would have gone through all of that pain for nothing. Stick with it, your baby will thank you and things will get better! Dr. Nick also went the extra mile to check-up on how we were doing and if we had any questions/concerns after the appointment. If you're conflicted on whether or not to release your child's tongue-tie, I suggest that you read the book Dr. Nick recommended and/or make an appointment with him. I am so glad we did. The very first time we came here, they made my daughter feel so welcome. There are street parking along with a private parking lot in the back of the building. You'll have to walk up a flight of stairs to reach the office--about a good 15-20 steps. The lobby had kids' toys set up and a Disney movie playing on a TV. The lobby is very cute very fitting for a toddler and up to a grade school kid. Dr. Nick and his staff members (from receptionist to the dental hygienist) are very sweet and so nice! The first time there, Dr. Nick explained everything to us (my husband and I). What they are going to do to make my daughter comfortable and us, as parents, as well. Dr. Nick answered all of our questions and had introduced himself to us. Dr. Nick and his staff always try to make my daughter comfortable as possible, but she always ends up crying bloody murder! Lol She hates going to the dentist, like her mother (me). She would cry and get spooked going into the dentist office, but now she's okay about going in the office, but she knows when she has to get her teeth clean by the dental hygienist and when Dr. Nick has to check her teeth; she clams up and cry bloody murder. However, she doesn't put up a fight with me or her dad; when we have to brush her teeth at home! So that's a bit of an improvement. We hope and pray that one of these days when she goes to see Dr. Nick; she won't cry and put up a fight! Lol *fingers crossed* Well, once the cleaning is done; they give my daughter a token to put in the toy vendor machine as well as picking a toy of her choosing from the treasure box. I was on a hunt to find a great dentist to take my son for his first dentist appointment. During my search I was referred to Dr. Nicholas by a colleague. Our experience was certainly one to remember! From the festive kid-friendly office to the super kind staff, I couldn't have asked for a better place to take my son for his first dental office visit. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the lady at the front desk and in the waiting area was a sign welcoming my son and other (1st time) visitors. Inside of the waiting room are so many things for children to do and activities for them to engage with. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for both my son and I. So pleased with the friendly, informative care tailored for families that we receive at Children's Dentistry. Front desk staff are very helpful with insurance and scheduling appointments. When our second grader needed a filling, Dr. Nick and his support team helped to make it as smooth a process as possible. About a year on the wait list to get an initial new patient appointment for my 3 year old - well worth the wait! (Waitlist length was due to pandemic precautions) Dr Nick was so thorough and kind, and the tech John was patient and gentle and both of them made the whole experience not scary at all. Little kiddo went in scared and nervous, and by the end of the appointment she was admiring her clean teeth in the mirror and smiling. Everything is kid friendly, from the fish and toys in the wait area to the colorful exam tables and TVs with cartoons and headphones. This place is great. We took my son here the first time for required pre 1st grade teeth check. They have good hours and are friendly. They are great with children with a welcoming waiting room. Tvs playing kids movies, toys everywhere, a doctor that is great with kids. My son has since returned several times for two cavities and to have two milk teeth removed as his adult teeth were coming in strong. Hopefully his teeth will push forward! I have never been so inspired by a dentist before. It almost makes me want to be a kid again! We took our 2 year old to a different dentist for his first experience and boy do we wish we hadn't. Dr. Nick was incredible with my daughter and thanks to him, she did not inherit my fear of dentists. What kid loves visits to the dentist? MINE! This place is amazing... from the staff, to the facility, to the dentist himself, Dr. Ching! I was really nervous 6 months ago when looking for the perfect place for my then 3.5 year old. I searched on Yelp for several days and after reading, what's seemed like hundreds of reviews, I went with Children's Dentistry and it was the best decision I made! On our first visit my son was a little scared in the beginning but everyone was so warm and gentle with him that he felt comfortable and was able to get his teeth checked and cleaned with no problem. Dr. Ching is awesome- He explains everything to you in detail, great at answering all questions I had, was so patient and kind with my son, I immediately knew I made the right decision choosing this place! We recently went back for our second visit for my sons 6 month check up and my little guy was excited to go back! He right away feels happy in the waiting room with all the fun toys. The person cleaning his teeth was super friendly and even joked with my son. Dr. Ching again was great with my little guy. We both left happy after the visit! Dr. Ching and staff are excellent. Our daughter is very afraid of needles and we had had failed attempts of procedures at our regular dentist. In another occasion, she had kicked a nurse in the E.R. who needed to give her an anesthetic. (long story). She needed two extractions because of overcrowding and her visit to Dr. Ching's was easy and very smooth. Our regular dentist is excellent, but Dr. Ching is absolutely great when you need a pediatric specialist. The office is fun for the kids, and more importantly procedures are suited to children and are made non-frightening. In another visit our son had broken a tooth and we are so happy and relieved with the repair, which is also nearly invisible. He recently asked when he would get to go again, because kids are given a token to pick a small prize out of vending machines in the office.
