My house was an absolute mess after he left (drywall mud on my carpet, washing machine, floors, even in the floor vent!) and he damaged my brand new kitchen floor. He declined to work with us on resolving these matters and instead said his sister is a lawyer and he's "not obligated" to make this right. We ended up in small claims (where he also no showed).
