The only clinic I know that do treat you like a number. They are like family and that is why they are my dentist for 25++years.

We first came in as patients with Medi-Cal (a.k.a. the saddest insurance ever) when we weren't working during COVID, and it was *shocking* that we were able to find the highest caliber dental office i'd ever been to, while stuck on the worst plan of my life! When we were off Medi-Cal once we were working again, we rearranged picking our entire new plan based on making sure we could keep Dr. Deronian. If I suddenly became insanely wealthy, this is still the place I would insist upon!! Inside the office is not only clean but also chic and calming, more akin to spa vibes than dental office. The women who work here are the loveliest souls; they truly make my day better by being their sweet selves. If only all my errands were staffed by angels like this!!! Dr. Deronian is so kind, funny, chic, intuitive about when something is hurting me, and each time she's been cleaning my teeth she's figured out how to make it the least painful possible, paired with still cleaning so thoroughly. (i've heard her whisper "I love cleaning..." from behind her mask while she worked on me!) Last year she expertly fixed a cosmetic issue of my crooked front tooth by adding a totally invisible little corner on the gap, and it has made such a subtle yet massive difference in how I feel about my smile. As I said, it was life changing to have found this office and I feel very blessed and grateful to be her patient

I have mixed feelings regarding this location. I probably have the most experience having come here…read moremore than the average person would any normal dentist. I want to be as fair and honest-without speculation or too much opinion. The man, Dr. Pat, overall, I "feel" he is an excellent person/dentist. I never got a vibe as though he was unpure in his intentions, he treated me as a customer and person, with more respect and kindness than any other dentist I've gone to. Often a dentist, at least for me/my experience, has treated me lesser, after finding out I was having and needed so much work done. I always took care of my teeth, often with NO benefit, it turned out that genetics were always against me. I didnt know that years back, being talked like you dont take care of yourself, youre a lesser person or being perceived as even bulimic, a junkie or any other judgement based off physical appeal-can be VERY breaking to ones spirit, made me feel ashamed and ultimately, almost made me not want to ever go to a dentist again. I did not give up, none of that which was assumed badly was true, and comments made from perceived judgement were unwarranted. (Mean at best) I DID take care of my teeth, so I kept looking. When I found Dr. Pat, He never treated me lesser for the obviously massive work that needed to be done. I will always be happy and thankful about that major factor. If he did good work, treated me better than any other dentist then what could I possibly bitch about? As much as I "love" him, often times he made "promises he couldnt keep" and "told me inconsistent things" such as to come back tomorrow/in a few days to finish a 2-step procedure, only to find that he said that freely-not checking to see/or knowing how booked he was already-telling me days/time-periods which were unrealistic/false. He would be busy so he disappeared, to take care of other patients, I would be taken back to the lobby-only to find the next appt. was always available (at the soonest) in 2 weeks. Thats harsh. I'd try not to get mad, or disappointed, and be understanding-but after going there for SO LONG I began to notice "2 weeks" was always a magic number. Yet the first time I found him, he had no such "busy schedule" and saw/treated me the very same day, as a walk in. Often times I would be in pain. He would help with pain inconsistently, but more than most dentists, not all, in regards to helping medicate it. I often had to wait longer time periods for "insurance approval" beforehand and depending on the procedure I needed, weeks, months had to be endured. It seemed like forever waiting, I never had any help for the massive pain while waiting and my insurance told me he could have done procedures and billed afterwards, it is just a little longer of a process. He responded when I asked him about this, telling me honestly, often times, insurance wont pay-doesnt pay, having had this happen too often in the past, he was not willing to preform anything without "authorization". I understand this aspect, he can't work for free, yet struggle since I'm the one who waited, in pain and ultimately had to struggle with "fair" vs. "understanding/patience" I have many examples because I went for so long. I kept going back because he knew me, didn't treat me like some piece of garbage who wasnt taking care of themself so they didnt deserve proper care anyway and because his didnt kill me, at the very worst. I probably wont ever go to another dentist again, having made permanent the solution to my problems-my smile being important. My suffering and poor health was concerning to family because I couldnt eat with no back teeth. They were slowly, over time removed, one by one-which was terrible; or were on their own-lost. I can't tell you how badly it feels losing teeth. The day I lost my first one was most traumatic. At least thats what I thought at the time. When youre eating with your new boyfriend, chewing something not even hard, and your whole tooth is removed by the sticky-ish food...it's pretty embarrassing, to say the least. I was always worried I would lose part of a tooth, a whole tooth, whatever-I stopped eating almost all together, without knowing. It either hurt to eat, because of fresh work I was always having done, or it didnt hurt and I'd be chewing only to hear the sound/feel the tooth remove itself with what I was chewing-a feel/pain/sound I cant even begin to describe! I realize this isnt his fault, but a lot of it happened while waiting for approval. In the end, I only had my front teeth.I was happy that visibly, I looked okay-I wasnt missing a front tooth or anything. They werent black or chipped, the ones left were straight. I think ALL of them had been worked on, as I must have had at least 20+ procedures completed. Imagine going to a dentist, every other month-I looked forward to it at some point, because even though it was a slow process, each time I went, one tooth looked better.

*IF LOOKING FOR A NEW DENTIST, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS* I never thought I'd leave a review…read moreabout a dentist office, but here we are. I called to make my appointment on a Friday and informed them that I needed a teeth cleaning AND that I was pregnant. I arrived to my appointment Monday and was then told I needed I needed clearance from my OB for X-rays/cleaning. (Why wasn't I told that when I made my appt?) I called my OB and got a letter after about 40 minutes and was able to get taken back to start my treatment. They took me in for XRAYs and a dentist came in to review the images and my dental health with me. I was recommended a "deep clean with laser treatment" and told by the dentist she'd be back in a bit after someone came and reviewed my dental coverage with me before proceeding. Someone came in to review with me and said the deep clean is covered but the fluoride was an additional $50, due to my insurance coverage which is fine, but the laser treatment is $500, but they "could offer it at their set price of $350." Before I could even agree to my service, they said "let me know when we can book your cleaning for you." I had been in this office for 2 1/2 hours at this point (including the 40 minutes I had to wait for a clearance note because nobody informed me of it when I initially booked.) I asked the lady why I had to book a service for cleaning when that was the whole reason I came in. She explained the Dentist was already with another patient and wouldn't be available, then got her manager. The first thing the manager said to me is "you were booked for a comprehensive exam, and we only provide a cleaning if time allows but it took you an hour to get clearance from your Doctor." I mentioned that (1) nobody ever mentioned the clearance to me & (2) if they didn't think they could offer me a cleaning bc of the timing, (WHICH IS THE WHOLE REASON SOMEONE GOES TO THE DENTIST), I should've been told up front instead of spending 2 1/2 hours there. Her response was trying to put off the responsibility to the call center who were the one's that answered my call. Finally after some time, she mentioned they could do a "basic cleaning" with me because they don't have time for the "deep clean because they to numb the mouth." NOBODY EVER EVEN MENTIONED NUMBING ME FOR A CLEAN IN THE FIRST PLACE? Finally the dentist returned with the dental assistant and provided a cleaning which was just fine. I finished the cleaning and left after being there for 3 hours! Ultimately, this is a straight up corporate dental office that is pushing services onto patients. I chose this place because it's much closer than my older dentist, but truthfully I'd drive the 3 hours I spent in the office to go to another office just to avoid this place. While Nayelie in the front office was kind, and the dentist/dental assistant were friendly, I truly feel this was a terrible overall experience with lack of information caring for patient's time, withholding information about services when offered, and a company trying to take advantage of their patients. STEER FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

BEWARE. This practice is running a genius and elaborate scam. They advertise a "$59 New Patient…read moreBasic Teeth Cleaning" but they've never provided this service to anyone. What they do is x-ray and examine your teeth, tell you that you have gum disease (whether you do or not) and then tell you that you're "ineligible" for the basic cleaning that was advertised - and in fact, you have to pay $1,000+ for the laser deep cleaning (amongst other things).

Everyone hates going to the dentist, but the vibe here is so welcoming, and the staff is so absurdly nice and good at their jobs, it makes an unpleasant visit as pleasant as possible. I've been going for years and there has never been one experience that wasn't top notch. Dr. Fine is personable, nice and conversational, and always checks up on you on a personal level every time you come in. The dental hygienists are efficient and kind. Vicki is fantastic and makes the time fly by. I cannot recommend this place enough. I sincerely can't imagine there is a better dental office in all of LA.

I had high hopes because they have you fill out forms in advance where you can explain past dental trauma if you've had it. (I have.) This led me to believe that information would be taken into consideration. I loved the hygienist, and the office manager is great, too. Dr Fine came in and and started remarking about my teeth one by one as she examined them, and when it was all said & done she wanted to start with deep plane scaling and cleaning in 2 major sessions, and then basically make over most of my mouth with crowns and implants, as if my mouth is/was a complete disaster! One concern I had was a single dark fine vertical line I had developed on of each of my 2 front teeth, (possibly a superficial crack?) and she only offered veneers as a solution, but then said there was no way she would do them until I did a full course with Invisalign. I spent 6+ years of my youth in full upper and lower braces, double headgear, and after the bands, double retainers. I even had 4 extractions to accommodate the correction. My teeth are quite nice. It did not take long to realize this was not my dentist! I have since found a dentist who is amazing, has her own practice in Encino, is on the more conservative side, but can & will do anything you need. She's very skilled. She does not upsell. She said my mouth looks great, and whatever I'm doing, to keep it up. She also did bonding on my front teeth, which was easy, painless, affordable & looks beautiful! The lines are gone and the work looks so natural! She also takes my dental insurance, which Dr Fine does not.
