I have not painted my house since, so have realized a significant savings of not painting every 4 years, so that savings almost paid for the stucco work. You can colorize stucco with any high-quality paint, so the options are endless and it is easy to match non-stucco trims with the same color paint. If you stucco your house, be sure to get the excess material and transfer it into new 1 gallon paint cans. This will allow you touch up and patch when you install new equipment through the walls. I just did some touch-up work yesterday and the material was still the right texture after 16 years and the touch-up came out great.

As all professional and licensed contractors, it was very simple to do business with Golden State Stucco. Kirk conducted a free estimate walk through of the project and provided a fast around time with the proposal. The price was very competitive and met my budget. Once I approved it, they immediately set a date and they showed up on time and began work right away. This project took two weeks to complete. On the first day: - They torn down my horrid wood panels from the 1970's and clean up any old / loose debris. Completed visual inspection for any terminate or major dry rot. - Laid out the Jumbo Tex weather-resistive barrier and wire mesh netting. - Applied the scratch coat and add on metal window barriers to secure the existing windows. For the next week and a half: Allowed the scratch coat to cure; keeping it damp by periodically misting with water from my garden hose. As with all scratch coats, slow, damp curing provides the greatest strength. Allow the coat to dry slowly. That's the secret! On the final day: - Applied the new stucco and matched my existing texture. I was very pleased that they were able to match it. At first, I was worried... but Kirk took care of me. - Cleaned up all their mess and made sure my front yard landscaping wasn't damaged. I've worked with some poor contractors that didn't care about their work surroundings. In this case, I was very impressed with their attention to detail. Today, I am proud to have them as one of many Elite contractors for all my future home projects in the field of stucco and exterior work - Earning five stars for this accomplishment. I went with Golden State in the end, it was a little higher but some things you just don't go cheap on and this was a huge investment for me at least so I wanted the best of the best. Kirt (owner) was top notch from start to finish and even went out of his way in the to do extra touches to make the house even better, in addition to a TOP NOTCH stucco job. I love it! Kirt and I put our heads together early in the game and came up with a custom color that is so pleasing to the eye. Because of his expertise and keen eye for the details he made trim suggestions that while of course adding to the contract, only enhanced the overall look, and it just gave the house that extra "wow" factor. And me being a single woman, naïve to the process, would have never known to add "trim" and he helped with that process as well, noting what trim would look best.
