Honestly, if we could rate higher, we would. Stellar communication, beautiful work, top quality materials, fair prices. Marcelino Plastering came highly recommended from a family in our school community. The recommender raved about Asael, the owner, and how professional the whole team was. 100%! From his first visit, Asael was a joy to work with -- very clear about his recommendations and our options. He was considerate of our budget, and he was so patient about revising estimates as we negotiated with a neighbor about shared costs. The work Marcelino did was to repair some roofing and flashing that was poorly installed by another contractor, and to fix dryrot. His team also replaced a drain, replaced siding, and new paint. The finished product is better than we imagined, allowing us to use the lightwell as a true patio. All that plus his team worked clean, and he guarantees the work for 10 years. We'd love to hire him again!

demolition - uncovering the damage. They were very careful to cover our deck and clean up after themselves every day

With the first rains of the season, one of our windows started leaking. We realized the issue was with the stucco at the deck above. After reading yelp reviews of different stucco contractors I called Marcelino Plastering and I am so glad I did. Asael Marcelino is very professional, punctual, friendly, and obviously very good at stucco. Honestly one of the best people I have worked with in the construction industry. Soon as he started removing the plaster - we realized water had been infiltrating the structure for many years and there was significant damage. Asael is a great problem solver and has a very positive attitude, he quickly worked with us to remove the rotted wood and fix the issue. Even while we encountered several weather events. The work is now complete and we could not be happier. If you need stucco work done, this is your guy!

Marcelino plastering did an excellent job on enclosing a 6'x2' window opening on my garage wall which had water intrusion due to improper window installation. The foreman, Omar and his crew were very professional. I liked how they set up the surrounding area to keep dust and busted up materials within the work area. The framing, waterproofing, lath and stucco were all done professionally... they came prepared..Great job by Marcelino plastering from set up to clean up... I highly recommend

Marcelino stepped in to handle our stucco repair during our window and dry rot project. The were professional, competent and fair. They worked well with the other contractors and the weather and made sure we achieved the best outcome possible. Would definitely use them again and recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful plaster walls around this circular turret room

In our recent home renovation, we had to open lots of large holes in our walls and ceilings and asked Marcelino Plastering to do the interior plaster patches (and a tiny bit of exterior stucco). Asael and his team tackled every challenge, finishing this large project in just a few days, and the quality of their work was impressive. A few specific comments: - I really appreciated the easy communication throughout - Asael was able to quickly take on our additional requests at a fair price - The painters and other contractors working in our home gave huge compliments on the quality of the plastering job - Everyone was especially impressed by their plaster work on the walls of the circular turret room and around curved heating ducts. I would highly recommend Marcelino Plastering.

Found this company on Yelp and all positive comments and reviews are right on. Requested info and got a virtually immediate response. Communication skills and style is excellent. Marcelino has a great team and is truly knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. He is not only answering questions but helps define the objective of the project and final product when needed. His team worked very quickly and was very mindful about cleanliness around the area. Highly recommended.

Asael runs a great company and does fantastic work. He and his crew helped us with a complicated situation where an overgrown vine collapsed and took large chunks of stucco along with it. They effectively dealt with dry-rot and replaced the stucco on the front facade of our house. Communication was top notch and I was kept up to date during the entire project. I highly recommend Marcelino Plastering!

    Before: Cracked old Stucco

Asael and his crew are fantastic! We had a 8' X 20' wall of nasty moldy stucco that Marcelino Plastering came in and replaced in only 5 days time. Asael was extremely punctuational, and the communication was always on point. The previous owner installed a sliding glass door without any appropriate flashing, and drilled a support beam of the deck right into the stucco wall. Years of water poured right into the wall, and Marcelino Plastering ripped it all out, put in a new deck beam, did all the stucco work, and made everything look perfect. I didn't have time to price other contractors, but when everything was amazing the cost was totally worth it.

Protection stayed for the entire duration of the work. NO damages to the pavers!

Roof leaking, windows leaking, wood rot, termite damage. What a mess. Seamus has the skills (and in the case of the roof, the associates) to fix all of these problems. His team chiseled out all of the aged stucco and added new chicken wire, flashing and weep screeds. He removed all the rotten wood and essentially rebuilt the front corner of my house, including a decorative wall that was so leaky that its bones had completely rotted away. Then his team re-applied base stucco and let it cure properly before mixing a beautifully colored finishing coat that was perfectly textured. The house looks amazing now. I had been putting my head in the sand for years, ignoring all the growing cracks in the stucco and knowing that water was soaking the bones of my house. I have peace of mind now. Also, as people note below, Seamus is responsive and a good communicator. So important in a contractor. Thanks Seamus.

Morales Plastering Construction has been our smoothest experience yet! The owner, Alejandro Morales, is a joy to work with. He takes immense pride in his work, and it's evident that his team respects and enjoys working for him. He is a hands-on owner who (literally) isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to ensure the highest quality; he even personally helped complete the finishing paint work on the repaired stucco and surrounding areas. Communication with Alejandro and his team was top-notch. All workers showed up on time and cleaned the job site at the end of each day. We had multiple leaks in our windows, and Mr. Morales was able to diagnose the root cause immediately. He offered repair recommendations and a very fair quote--a much better route than replacing the windows entirely! In 1999 I purchased a 5 unit apartment building with full amenities (carport, laundry room, lockers, covered garages)...built in 1979. In 2014 moved back to prepare the building for much needed work. It took me 4 years to find the right contractor(s). You deal with so much bull from so many...it's amazing. Paul stood out...from start to finish. He delivered everything he promised. Paul came to the site and listened to what I wanted and the questions I had; he took measurements and walked around...asked a lot of questions...not one of his questions were: "What's your budget?" Instead, he said he would have to consider the time, manpower, and the project as a whole (if it was workable), then he would devise a bid, send me a copy, and set up a time to go over it with me. Paul was so thorough that when he left I began to hope (worry) he could and would take the job. Paul called me once or twice to clarify the work. He would install insulation, use OSB (instead of plywood), and TyVek (brand). Decision on the siding came down the line (between stucco, APE, and T1 11); also installed brand new double-pane windows. Paul was cool with my choices; he said they are all pretty much within the same range regarding interiors. The bid was sent a week later and we met several days after to go over everything. My bids came in from, $169,000 to $301,000; Paul was in the middle with every detail down to the wire. His bid was so clear and crisp from the Permit application to the caution of placing extra money aside for unexpected problems (dry rot, termites) that are common in jobs this big. It also included all labor, materials, scaffolding, what he did do and wouldn't do (dryVit stucco). In May of 2018...we were on board...signed, sealed, delivered to start July 7, 2018; this gave me time to notify my tenants and let them know they could not park in their assigned spots until the work was complete. Scaffolding arrived on the day and time promised. Paul's crew are THE BEST AND SECOND TO NONE. They worked hard, were on time every day, Monday - Friday 8: am - 4:30 pm with a half hour lunch, and were immaculate. Every day they left the area swept and clean...all garbage and debris removed (including all the old siding). They were also extremely courteous to my tenants and a very fun bunch of happy guys...just great to have on a job like this. The job went really smooth, Inspector was happy and we passed all three inspections. We ran into some dry rot and termite damage; dry rot included 3 beams under steps and deck (rough job), and termite damage was 1 beam (termite damage was under warranty and cost us nothing). Beams with dry rot only added $6,000...mainly because they had to secure the decks on 4 floors to remove the old beams and replace with new (labor). It was a good save and the building is really secure. Decided on same siding, "T1 11" and pre-mix special color stucco on ground level (pictures attached). The bid never changed. Work was wrapped up in mid-August 2018 and I couldn't be happier...so are my tenants. Two important issues: 1). Paul returns and responds to all your calls and texts immediately. 2). He always keeps you informed on what is going on (where you're at, what's next, timelines). That's my review of Exterior Remodeling Specialists...THE BEST EVER CONTRACTOR & CREW!!! **If you are going to do siding, painting, and / or anything that requires scaffolding...bring your neighbors on board. Send them a letter letting them know what you are planning, the work and time involved, and who your contractor is. It shows respect and helps the project along. I did all of the above and offered to clean the exterior of their windows when the job is complete (for all the dust & dirt that flew around). They were all very appreciative and were great to Paul and his crew. **This is up to you...but I treated the crew to lunch every Friday ($20 each), and once in a while brought them some cookies or cupcakes. When they wrapped up I gave each of them a $100 bill with a "Thank You" note. They deserved that and more. **Read your contract CAREFULLY. Paul is honest and thorough...but others (if you don't use Paul) have loop holes that are going to protect them...NEVER YOU. Paul is fully insured and explains that during the contract signing process. (((((Pictures attached)))))
