The back of my house was covered with decrepit asbestos shingles. I finally decided to get those removed (with an environmental contractor) and then replaced by something good. Peninsula Siding Company was an awesome company to work with. Pete was an excellent communicator and really listened what I wanted. All the guys that worked on the job were skilled, and good communicators as well. They cleaned up. The job came in on budget and in the planned time frame. And everyone was so nice! The old asbestos shingles were replaced with Hardie planks. It looks great, is fire resistant, and just overall is such a good product. (One window hasn't been replaced yet due to supply chain issues so I may replace the photo when that is done.)

Peninsula Siding was thoroughly professional and answered all of our questions. Due to the fact that this was a costly project (the whole house didn't need new siding), we had a lot of questions i.e. matching the old siding, installing plywood where there wasn't any, etc and they answered all our questions and the final product came out great. The quality of their work is very good, I would recommend them if you want to get the work done right. They also recommended an electrical contractor that they use since I was putting in outside lights and cameras and again, the contractor did great work!

My 30 year old house had a number of areas that needed siding repair and I shopped around with several companies. What resonated with me about Peninsula Siding Company was their professionalism, good communication, follow-up and knowledge to handle my project. Kristina explained the process, billing, updated me on timeline, and ensured any questions I had was answered very promptly. Pete forewarned me that if my house lacked plywood, that a change order was needed for complying with the code. The overall work was very professional and the team cleaned up daily under the supervision of Jovanni. If I had any concerns or touch-ups at the end of the project, Pete addressed them all and always with courtesy and professionalism. I'm very pleased with the end result. When I look at my house it looks brand new! I definitely recommend Peninsula Siding Company.

Prior to repair. Cracks in siding below window and above the garage to the right.

I am so happy we decided to go with Peninsula Siding Company! Over 20 years of Coastside weather had taken a rough toll on our house and I could not put replacement off any longer. Like many people whose homes were built in the 90s, I found Weyerhaeuser siding fell short so I knew I wanted Hardie board this time. I gathered bids from a few qualified companies and chose Peninsula Siding because of their price, their ability to start significantly sooner than others, and Pete Campanile. I met with several people in the vetting process, and all appeared knowledgeable and competent. Pete stood out for his explanation of the process and his breakdown of the known and unknown costs. In addition, he is just a pleasant person to work with - this would prove especially valuable when he had to bring me the very bad but not entirely unexpected news that there was some serious dry rot. The crew started every morning at 0800, worked hard all day, and were diligent in cleaning up at the end of the day. They carted away all the debris and even let me toss in some old lumber and debris of my own. On the back end Kristina Suey did a great job of keeping me posted on progress, the payment and inspection schedules, and answering the occasional question I might have. She also directed me to the cool 3D model showing how our home would look when it was finished. Over the course of the project we ran into delays and curve balls like the holidays and the aforementioned dry rot. Communication was good throughout all of these. Perhaps most importantly, in the end the house looks amazing! The siding and trim colors look great. The nails securing the trim are essentially invisible. I was presented with differing opinions on whether or not to cover them with touch-up paint; Pete recommended against it as the touch up paint fades and stands out against the trim color. I am glad I deferred to his experience. While the gingerbread shingles under the gable may have been cute in their time, Pete was also right that a new straight pattern updates the look. In sum, I thought the house would look better but I could not imagine how much better! For those looking to replace their siding I strongly recommend Peninsula Siding Company.

One of the few contractors that are reliable about meeting their dates. Rock solid. Also the price was similar to sketchier quotes.

EnviroTek exceeded my expectations in every way. A deck is a major expense and there are a lot of pieces involved -- design, materials, engineering, permits, inspections and construction. Before choosing EnviroTek, I got three bids. Some of the other proposals were extremely expensive, and it wasn't always clear who would actually be doing the work or how much would be subcontracted. EnviroTek was different from the beginning. Sammy, the proprietor, was straightforward, responsive, organized and very easy to work with. He never pressured me or tried to upsell me. His proposal was clear, his pricing was reasonable, and I always knew what I was paying for. There were no unpleasant surprises with the cost and Sammy was always upfront whenever a decision needed to be made. Sammy uses his own crew and has worked with them for years. They showed up every day, worked incredibly hard and clearly took pride in doing the job well. Even my neighbors commented on how impressed they were with them and how consistently they worked. My home is in an HOA, so I couldn't get too creative with the design and everything had to fit the existing architectural style. Even with those limitations, the finished decks and walkway came out beautifully and I am extremely happy with the result. The work was done cleanly and properly and we passed every inspection without any problems.  I was away for a good part of the construction, which could easily have made a project like this stressful, but it wasn't. Sammy kept me updated, regularly sent photos and let me know how things were progressing. I never had to chase anyone down or wonder what was going on. I felt completely comfortable having the work continue while I was away because I knew they cared about my house and were going to do things the right way. That is not something I take for granted with a contractor. Overall, EnviroTek went far beyond what I expected. They turned a stressful situation into a manageable and successful project. They were dependable, responsive, trustworthy and genuinely cared about getting things right and keeping the site clean during construction. I really cannot say enough good things about EnviroTek. This was one of the best referrals I have ever received, and I would recommend them without hesitation. If you are considering building or replacing a deck, I would absolutely call Sammy before making a decision. My only regret is that Sammy doesn't do every kind of construction and home repair, because I would happily hire him for everything in my house. Truly an outstanding company and an outstanding team. Five stars is not enough.

I don't even know where to begin. So I'll just start from the beginning…read more What I thought was going to be a partial deck repair turned into a full reconstruction. And look -- that could have gone sideways real fast. Like, real fast. It didn't. Thank God. Here's the thing about this crew -- and I mean every single person who showed up -- they were just genuinely friendly. Not "we want your money" friendly. Actually friendly. The kind where you don't mind them being at your house for weeks. And on top of being friendly, they actually knew what they were talking about. I asked a lot of questions. Probably too many. Nobody fumbled. Nobody gave me the blank stare. Nobody redirected me to someone else. Just straight, confident answers from people who clearly know their craft. That goes for the construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team. All of them. Damn consistent across the board. Now -- I'll be real with you. Their quote came in a little higher than some of the other estimates we were getting. And yeah, I side-eyed it a little at first. But here's the thing -- the other quotes were coming from general contractors. And with something like this, I didn't want a generalist. I wanted a team that actually specializes in this kind of work. And that's exactly what I got. So honestly, the higher quote made complete sense once I thought about it. You're not paying more for the same thing -- you're paying for people who actually know what the hell they're doing at a deeper level than your average contractor. And as the project grew from a partial repair into a full deck reconstruction -- which, by the way, nobody saw coming -- the cost didn't blow up the way you'd expect it to. It stayed fair. It stayed honest. Nobody tried to squeeze extra money out of a situation that was growing by the week. When you zoom out and look at the whole picture, it's a no-brainer. You get what you pay for. And I couldn't be happier. Sammy and John were on it the whole time. Responsive, communicative, never left me hanging. And even after the project wrapped up and I came back with follow-up questions -- because I definitely did -- they were still right there. Patient, thorough, zero attitude. I had a lot of anxiety going into something this big, and somehow between Sammy's leadership and John keeping everything moving in the right direction, that anxiety just kind of... dissolved. Which, if you know me, is not easy to do. These guys just get it. Oh, and they cleaned up after themselves. Every single damn day. No nails. No debris. No "that's not my problem" energy. They treated my home like it was their own. Like, genuinely. I didn't have to ask once. Special shoutout to Sammy for always being reachable, to John for keeping the whole operation from going off the rails, and to Fernando, Armando, and Salvadore for their hard work and dedication on the ground -- these guys showed up every day and just handled their business. And honestly, the entire construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team deserve a shoutout too. Every single one of them showed up like it mattered. Because it did. These are good people doing great work and it shows. Most importantly -- I finally feel safe enjoying the outside of my home again. And honestly? That's everything.
