I have been going to Nick's for about 5 years and they have been stellar the entire time. Recently, my fiancee took his car in, and Nick's discovered several major issues that were being missed by the dealer during his routine maintenance appointments, which led to an unexpected and disappointing expense. Nick's shared that they would need to order parts to fix the damage, which they did immediately. The job was done in less than 24 hours. They called us Friday to let us know that the car could be picked up after dropping it off on Thursday afternoon. Mind you, this was 4th of July weekend, and the shop would be closed until Tuesday for the holiday. We did not receive the message in time, and we were a bit upset because we are in the midst of wedding planning and really needed his car for the holiday weekend. I called the office and the owner got and returned my message with in the hour, and offered to come meet us at the shop to do an off hours pickup. I'd give them no star if I could. AAA recommended them to me I called to get a ballpark estimate for service I drastically needed ASAP. They said they call me back I'm thinking an hour or so . She had to check with technician. It's two days later I never got a call . Now to hell with them after reading some of the negative FB I'm glad they didn't call back . If their that unprofessional I'll be damned if I want them working on my car. If they couldn't do the work or didn't want the job they could at least called and said so . Expect to pay a minimum of $400 and double check their work! YouTube things if you don't know! The first issue I took it for ended up being a spark plug ----$400. The 2nd issue I took it for was a fuel pump code. They changed the fuel pump and that's where other issues started. Paid $1500 for the fuel pump's replacement. A few days later, even though I know I had about 80 miles worth of gas left in the tank, the car stalled and wouldn't start. Had it towed o them because they have a good reputation in our area. Instead of double checking their work, they told me that I just didn't have any gas in the car and that was another $400- $420 to be exact- because they added $20 worth of gas to the tank. When I picked it up this time, I almost didn't even make it to the Sunoco at the corner ($20 of gas should've gotten me 80+ miles). I got to the Sunoco, filled the tank with 13 gallons (plus what they had added) and my gas gauge only read a half a tank of gas. Knowing that my gas tank should hold 16 gallons, I turned right around and went back to their lot. I spoke to Fran directly and told him what just occurred. He was very dismissive in his response and said that their must be air in the lines still... then suggested that I track how many miles I get per tank so that I don't run out of gas if the issue is my gas gauge. I got the feeling I wasn't being taken seriously because I am a woman. A week later, same issue- car wouldn't start and when it did, it sounded like it thought it didn't have any gas. That Saturday I went back up and asked them to double check what they did to the fuel pump because these issues weren't happening prior to them working on the car. I was told they double checked and everything on their end looked good and no codes on car.. that it could be evap sensor, air in lines, etc. Mind you, NONE of this was an issue prior to them fixing the fuel pump. I went about a year, only being able to fill my tank "half full" only to resolve the issues myself. About 3 wks ago, the car started only letting me put in 5 gallons of gas at a time, then 3 gallons at a time.. until finally it would only let me put in 1 gallon at a time. Unacceptable. My son and his friends tried several things to resolve the issue. They changed the gas hose, changed the evap sensor- none of that worked. Finally, completely frustrated and tired of being a victim, I YouTube'd how to get to the fuel pump in my year, make and model of vehicle. It turns out that the piece that senses the bottom of the gas tank was never connected so this whole year, my floater (the part that tells how much gas you have) and the sensor (the part that tells the floater where the bottom of the tank is)HAVE BEEN FLOATING TOGETHER ALL ALONG!! And guess what- my gas tank was also full this WHOLE time! Expect to pay a minimum of $400 and always double check whatever they've done to your vehicle. I would give them ZERO stars if I could. this place is full of crooks , they will rip u off!!! We used to go here and we thought they were decent bc they seemed to help my mother out when my husband would call and talk to them for her, but most recently when my mother went here the guy, Ray I believe was his name, treated my mother like absolute sh!!!t. Then told her she needed brakes and rotors all the way around before he ever took the tires off. then we informed them that she just had her brakes done at their shop for inspection and they began singing a new tune. Then they told her she needed struts and sway bar links .. so being as my mother is older and doesn't have much money my husband was helping her out to get parts for her and we were going to have nicks put the parts on simply bc we didn't have the time to do it ourselves.. when she went to pay they charged her $600 and $89 for a 4 wheel alignment. when she went to pull out of their lot her car was still making the same noise she came there to fix. angrily, my husband takes a look after work and finds there is NO WAY they did a 4 wheel alignment on her car without noticing the snapped sway bar links in the back which WAS THE PROBLEM THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO FIX. Needless to say, we will never go there and wont be recommending their shop to anyone. the very next day they ripped off an elderly woman for a $160 car battery and told her the brand new one she had was bad then she found out they lied and her battery was fine, funny as it is I ran into this woman at the local auto parts store when she was attempting to return the battery and was told the battery was perfectly fine! save yourself some money and skip by these dirt bag theirs. read more

DO NOT GO THERE FOR AN INSPECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We took our car there for an inspection. They failed it on 5 different things and estimated the repairs to be $3500. We took it to a different but highly regarded inspection place and it passed on everything but something that Nick's didn't even find. Cost of repair $250 including the cost of the inspection. Also if you do go there put seat covers on you vehicle because they creased the leather driver's seat and left asphant in the crease. Then refused to take responsibility for it. read more

Took my vehicle there about a month ago to have some work done on it. They did the work and told me about so minor issues but it would pass inspection. Fast forward a month later and I take my vehicle back to get inspected. They call me and tell me it's going to be about $1800 dollars of work to pass inspection. They run some bogus diagnostic test without asking me so they could charge me more money. STAY AWAY from this crook. Incompetent and unprofessional frauds. UPDATE, took my vehicle to another shop for inspection an $230 for some minor work and it was done. I paid $230, crooks at Nick's wanted $1800. read more

I was referred to this place. I was told that they know what they are doing. I called to make and appointment but they just bring it up. Two days go by and I had not heard from them so I called. They said it was coin in next. They called me the following day and said my bill was 140.00 for checking it out but they weren't 100% percent sure of what they found. I couldn't believe my bill was that high and they weren't even sure of the problem. I said to go ahead and fix it. They said it was going to be a total of 316.00. So they called me back and said that didn't fix it but while they were in there they noticed something and now the car runs great. They now told me my bill was 532.00.
