We are EXTREMELY happy with the results of our project! We used Tinoco to repaint the interior walls, doors, baseboards, built ins, and ceilings in our entire home. They also did an absolutely fantastic job at flooring installation of our luxury vinyl plank flooring, as well as the removal of the existing tile that was in the house previously in some areas. We wanted the project done on a pretty fast timeline and Ray and his team made sure that that happened! They kept in constant communication with us and collaborated with us on our plans, budget, and overall aesthetic choices so that our home truly felt like our home when it was finished--and, I am SO happy to say that it does!! On an additional side note, I will say that not only did we enjoy working with all of them. But, we had several neighbors mention to us that they were lovely and completely respectful in not wanting to bother other neighbors with additional noise or issues during the remodel. We weren't equipped to make the necessary modifications cutting through tile and countertop. I called Julio, described the problem. Once we accepted their bid, unforeseen events began to obstruct the start date, mainly rain and COVID-19 restrictions. Fortunately, there was a promising window for them to begin, first with the power wash, paint selection, preparations, and painting. The crew was very polite, respectful of property and privacy, communicated well, cleaned up after each day, and added bonus of caulking gutters, stucco cracks, and holes. Hired them to repaint the house. While most of the work on the walls was fine, all of the other…read moreproblems make me strongly discourage hiring this company for all but the simplest of jobs. Upon completion of the job I noticed none of the interior doors closed properly. Upon further inspection I discovered that for some reason all of the hinge screws were replaced with random mix and match screws with various head types which made the doors unable to close. I complained and asked that they be replaced with proper hinge screws and they said they would do that. Unfortunately, they instead selected very thick, long screws which were still not hinge screws (see photo comparing hinge screws with what they selected). The doors were usable but still did not operate like they did before. As these screws were very oversized I was forced to remove them all, fill the holes with wooden dowels, and then add in the proper hinge screws. This job was made even worse as the painters for some reason took the doors off the frames but painted the hinges, many of which were brand new and needed to be replaced. They also badly scratched every door knob in the house, which was frustrating since they were replaced just before this project started. Outside of the door issues, they forgot to paint a few areas and got paint on trim in a few places, but I would have probably overlooked this had the doors not created hours of labor and cost me hundreds of dollars in replacement hardware.

After deciding to get our house painted, we set out to get 4 bids in the fall 2018.There was quite…read morea range in price and Jim Moore's bid fell in the middle. We selected Jim Moore for three reasons. First, he seemed to know his business better than the others. As an example, we have a stucco house with stuccoed pop outs around all windows. We wanted to paint the pop outs the same color as the wood trim. I was concerned that it would be hard to get a clean cut in line between the pop outs and main stucco without installing caulking at the transitions. None of the other painters had a recommendation for this. Jim told me that he would be caulking around the pop outs to ensure a clean cut in, before I even asked him. Second, he made several recommendations for a professional look that the others did not offer. For example, he recommended the use of satin sheen on all stucco, including pop outs, but to use semi gloss on the wood trim. Even though the pop outs and trim are the same color, it is much better to have the sheen the same on all stucco. It's a little thing, but it makes a difference. He made other suggestions, but I'll keep it brief. Lastly, he told me that he would not expect any payment until he was done and we had 2 weeks to look things over and make sure we were completely satisfied. Who does this? I originally told Jim that he would not have to paint our eves, as I would be installing soffits. Two weeks before painting began, I told Jim that we decided not to install soffits, so we need the eves painted. I asked for a revised bid and he quickly said, "no problem...we'll paint them with no additional charge." Again, who does this? Jim and his team arrived on schedule, worked efficiently and did a very professional job. We walked around our house for three days looking for any blemish or overspray, but found nothing. So, we called Jim and asked that he swing by to pick up payment in full (again...the whole job was done before we paid anything). We highly recommend that you consider Jim Moore Painting.
