If I could leave no stars I would, we set them up to load our trailer and truck so we could move our daughter across the country. They arrived on time, complained the truck wasn't attached to the trailer (it's an apartment complex, not possible it would block everyone ). He took a phone call which he was not happy about as I could hear him. He walked into the apartment and immediately told us it wouldn't fit in our trailer we rented of the long bed f350 we had. We told him we were willing to leave things and that all the boxes and clothes had come here in the truck. He immediately told us we needed to rent a bigger truck with a car hauler and he wasn't going to get blamed for damage to items. Because of the way he came in, it was understandable that my husband was upset, he booked them 6 weeks ago and told them exactly what we had. He has text messages to prove it. They said they would work with us per the text messages. They refused the job and left. I called another moving company they came about 2 hrs later and guess what?? It all fit in the trailer! We didn't even need to use the bed of the truck! See the photo! So don't call them, call Not Your Husband's Moving Co, they are outstanding! It shouldn't matter if I have a mini cooper, you're being hired to load/unload for a determined amount of time. Then she started in on how the wouldn't "feel safe" coming into my home. WHAT!?!? I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I originally chose this company because I had used them in the past and had a positive experience, so I was genuinely looking forward to working with them again. Unfortunately, this time was completely different. My interaction was with Melissa via text, and from the start the communication felt very pushy, with repeated attempts to get me to upgrade services at every turn. While I understand making recommendations, the approach came across as aggressive rather than helpful. I remained calm and respectful throughout the conversation, clearly explaining that we are very organized when we move--boxes are taped, supplies are ready, and furniture is disassembled ahead of time. I also shared that we had successfully used a similar setup in the past. Despite this, I felt dismissed and not heard. At one point, I expressed that I felt bullied and pressured, hoping to reset the tone of the conversation. Instead of acknowledging that, the response I received was defensive and, frankly, rude. There was no effort to de-escalate or provide basic customer service. That was ultimately the deciding factor for me. If this is how communication is handled before the move even begins, it did not give me confidence in how things would go on moving day. I made the decision to cancel and find another company. I would encourage others to pay close attention not just to pricing, but to how a company communicates and treats you during the booking process. read more

Absolutely love Nicks Picks!!! The entire experience from initially booking the move to the time they drove away, it was fantastic!!! Cody and Matt did such a "OFF THE HOOK" job, bringing a giant amount of stuff down from a 3 story apartment with only stairs , we hired them again the same day to move a bunch of huge furniture out of one of our storage units. The packing job they did on the moving truck was like a nothing I have ever seen before!!! I bet Cody is a Lego Master.. In fact the mover who unpacked the truck remarked several times how good it was . Their customer service, professionalism and attention to detail is incredible and a complete departure from the typical BS and bad attitudes we have encountered virtually every time we have moved. Also, i read all of the reviews.. and i can absolutely say i think those negative reviews are complete BS and are either jealous competitors or sad angry people who hate themselves and life.. and there is no way to satisfy them no matter what you do for them or they can't follow simple instructions as to what is needed on moving day. read more

DO NOT BOOK with this moving company. I booked them to load a uhaul for me. I didn't have shrink wrap, but was willing to go get some or have a friend buy me some, l told them that I would load the tv since they refused to load it without a TV box dispite it being wrapped, none of which was told to me up front. They left abruptly and said they wouldn't do the job. Extremely unprofessional and added unnecessary stress to an already stressful process. read more

Every part of working with Nick , Melissa and crew is top level. From the care they take in preparing your items to the delivery and putting items where they belong is "the best". DO NOT BOOK MOVERS WITH THIS COMPANY. Showing up on time is the only thing they did right. Once they were on my property they spent 15 minutes just getting the Uhaul moved how the guy liked. Mover #1 was very upset that I asked if I could wrap my TV myself since Uhaul didn't have the box I needed. He went into a 5minute lecture on why that wasn't safe. I interrupted the lecture and said leave the TV. Started to show him what needed to be moved and before he even saw everything he was upset saying I didn't book enough time to move everything. I said well we are on a time crunch can we just start loading. I had several boxes one mover could have been moving while the other shrink wrapped the rest. (i actually had a lot of that already done too.) He asked me how many blankets i rented I said 12 and I quote "you need at least 13". Once I said can we just load as much as we can he was very irritated that I wasn't respecting him and the service he was providing. He became very upset and said he was going to cancel. He then called his manager would not let me speak with them. Lied and said I was demanding to move a TV without a box. I again said LEAVE the TV! After he was off the phone he was speaking to me so rudely that my 81yr old father had to yell at the guy to leave the property. So much more was said it was insane! If you don't verify with the company exactly how many pieces how many blankets how they want everything done before they get there I would use another company. My Father and I got the job done ourselves in 4 hours. I was paying them for 3! Also when I called the manager to explain she hung up on me. I tried calling back 3 times she sent me to voicemail.
