My GOD. MY GOD This place is terrible. Total chaos. The "store" as she insisted calling her "dumpster in waiting", over the phone is chaos. It is "yuck". CHAOS. I went for an auctioninja pickup. Where is it? No CLUE! Her space is in a GIANT building, but you would never know according to the instructions or google maps, for that matter. "DOOR 1!!!DOOR 1!!!" She frantically says over the phone when I call her. She is annoyed, she does not sound well. I just want to pick up my damn auction win. Door 1? Is it a store? What am I looking for?? I am very polite. She isn't polite, very or otherwise. "IT IS A SHOP! A SHOP! A STORE FRONT. IT IS ON THE STREET" It is none of those things. It is in fact not a store, nor is it on the street. It is within an industrial building with many stores and many doors and many floors...where is Margot? Who the hell knows, except...blessings - some exhausted woman and her grandson are trying to pick up from this place, too. Frustrated...over it; they lead the way. And where do we go to? Upstairs. Go figure. Who knew?! Nicky's Attic is a hoarder's hellscape. Mess. No organization. Chaos Margot was sick as hell - does she have covid? Who the hell knows. She is Sneezing. coughing. wheezing. She is talking on her cell phone. She is VERY BUSY. Is she talking to her friend? It seems VERY IMPORTANT. She is BUSY. SNEEZING. WHEEZING. On the phone. Occupied. We are waiting. All four of us. "WHAT'S WRONG, ARE YOU OK???" She gets up in the guy's face, asking. He has been waiting there for ages, I imagine. He whispers, "good luck" to me as he carries out his box. I, along with the other strangers I am waiting with, are developing a new language via widening eyes and eyebrows being raised. Margo, deep in the room, yells "what are you picking up, what does it look like? Describe it!" WTAF. Well, after you try to describe what you have won via the blurry photos you bid on, she yells "OVER HERE! I FOUND IT. OVER HERE!!!!!" Great. You have to climb over piles of stuff to get your stuff. Then you try not to break your stuff or break your damn body as you exit the hoarders den. But, then, you tell the people, filling up the small cramped space, waiting to talk to sneezing coughing Margo. "GET OUT OF MY WAY OR I WILL ACCENTDENTLY BREAK MY BODY, YOU BODY, AND MY STUFF AS I TRY TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE." The cycle goes on... Ugh. MY GOD. No. Thank. You. read more

i would do anything to steer clear of this crooked operation. I went to an off site sale and nothing was priced. when asked a price he had to look it up on ebay then wanted more than ebay price. This review is focused on Margo. She has very poor communication skills, answers email and text days later. Answers them with very few words as if you're bothering her. With her service of sending packages, she doesn't provide you with the correct tracking #. She uses the very minimal packing material, luckily my item didn't sustain damage. So bummed. Drove 2 hours for a sale that looked fun. My girlfriend and I Filled bags of stuff, and the price he gave was absurd. Half of the stuff was unmarked and not worth a fraction of the price he gave. He claims to be knowledgeable, but didn't have answers of justification on why things were priced so high. A lot of the time the people that attend these sales are resellers and have knowledge of the items they seek and their worth. I watched him interact with other customers, and they were absolutely stunned at his prices as well. Estate sales should be a place where people get deals on items, not get ripped off. For anyone reading this review, you've been warned. Don't bother waking up early to get on the list. We did, and will not make the mistake again. read more

Went to an Estate Sale this weekend that was listed by Nicky's Attic, When I was there I found that Margo and her Husband the owners of the business were more than pleasant I was told to make @ pile and they would give bulk pricing instead of doing each item separate, it would make things easier at the end, once I was finished with my hunt around the house the pricing was more than fair for everything that I found during my hunt for treasures. I will be looking for future sales from Nicky's Attic as they were more than pleasant and fun to work with during there Estate Sale and my hunt for treasures. read more

Nicky's Attic also runs estate liquidation sales. My husband's elderly cousin lives in Texas and asked us to help her sell items in her CT deceased brothers house. We have been very successful and sent her every penny. When Margo and her husband came to assess the items in the house my husband informed them he was selling items for his cousin. We graciously showed them items throughout the house and they seemed very eager to contract. My husband had sold some items and loaded them onto our trailer to take to our home as it was easier than having to drive 1/2 hour back to his deceased cousin's house for people to pick up items. When his cousin in Texas read a BBB complaint against Nicky's Attic and then questioned Margo she told her we were STEALING items from the house! Margo also wanted to charge her 50% for the items she would sell. read more

I left a full review on google. If you would like to see just how arrogant this dealer is read my review and then read his remarks. So not only is he arrogant he is also a liar. After he told me $350 I never said counter offered anything because what he wanted was extremely high. He put in his response I offered him $50 first lie. There was nothing I picked out that was in great condition. He put up a list of items that was not what I had. He also stated that he video taped me??? How strange is that? He said he would post the video online. If he was talking a video of me then he takes a video of everybody. I stood there while he looked at my few items not saying a word. I'm posting so that no one else gets chaffed. I have been in correspondence with Margo Esparo of Nickey's Attic (macandnicks@gmail.com). I'm in the process of moving and Margo stopped by twice to inspect and take pictures of those items I wasn't moving and informed me she would arrive this Wednesday, October 17 to box them up and have a warehouse sale. I'm planning on vacating the house this Sunday, October 22. I texted Margo to confirm the Wednesday pickup and she informed me that there wasn't enough items that would warrant her to take have a sale. I would HIGHLY recommend not using her or their services. read more

I wish these reviews allowed for zero or negative stars as Nicky's Attic really is just horrible to deal with. Bought off one of their auctions through AuctionNinja. FYI - AuctionNinja is a selling platform similar to eBay. After traveling a distance, the item I bought and paid for was not available for pickup. Face to face the individual was as sweet as candy promising me a refund. For weeks and weeks, I contacted them and was given every excuse under the sun while they became nastier and nastier to deal with. After a month, I was forced to contact AuctionNinja to get refunded. It's an indoor flea market type feeling. You wander around and find diamonds in the rough....or you don't. Call ahead if you want to visit.

Worst estate sale experience to date. Unorganized, nothing priced, estate sale owners still setting up at time of sale and family was taking things as everyone waited outside prior to the sale opening... so those things you saw in the ad and drove an hour plus for were no longer for sale when the doors finally opened. I have no problem with families taking what they want, they should have the opportunity. However, we are talking filling their cars, trucks and trailers, so the sale contents resembled nothing like the photons online. The prices I did overhear were full retail and more. Just confusing and chaotic. Don't waste your gas...if this was my first time experiencing an estate sale I would be turned off for life. read more

Been here once before, but just upset because I've been trying to go here for the past three weeks and each time they have been closed, even though it says it's open on the website. I keep traveling 40 minutes to come here only to be disappointed every time.. call ahead beforehand, if they don't answer then they're probably not open. read more

Owner feels he doesn't have to wear a mask when hosting a sale. I should have called the health department to report him. Many items in house not marked and seemed vey disorganized. Based on bullish behavior of owner I strongly suggest you not use their services. read more

This is hands down the absolute WORST estate sale company I've ever seen. No knowledge of products, the husband (who apparently is the only one who can set prices by looking things up on eBay in front of you first) is as rude as can be, the woman is completely unprofessional and their sales are disorganized piles of stuff with trash and old mail mixed in. We went yesterday to Nicky's attic and was extremely disappointed and creeped out. Once we found our way up the stairs to the second floor,after being followed up by the person who worked there. He never said a word. Went past us and unlocked the door, turned on the lights then disappeared. While we started looking around at all the stuff, it is filthy and no organization to anything, all of the sudden I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. Along the back wall, hidden by stuff, was this guy sprawled out on a couch hidden behind stuff on his cellphone. We did look around for a bit. All of the sudden we heard him call out ... hello.. hello. He wanted to know if we were still there but couldn't get up off the couch. We all started to feel creepy and dirty and the need to leave. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's full of junk. No organization. And no should go in there alone, especially a female. read more

Purchased items from Nicky's via Craigslist and paid w a cash app. They represented to me that the items were in perfect condition. We got them home and discovered multiple amateur repairs and glueings. Well below average condition. Asked for a partial refund and was denied. They lied. read more

I have been going to Nickys Attic for a few years and have never been disappointed. You can expect the unexpected every time; unique, fun and fantastic items.
