Nicola is the BEST! I have so many positive things to say about her. I will do my best make this a short and sweet review, rather than a novel. First of all her work is beautiful. She is a natural artist and has a great eye for photography. She is also very educated. Now a days there are many photographers who never took a single class, they just bought a good camera and called it their business, trouble shooting their way to slow success. Nicola, on the other hand, has a degree from a fancy photography institute (I'm not sure of the name). and always had a clear direction of how she wanted to run her business. Weddings are tricky, and wedding are her specialty! There are so many moving parts, and grumpy people to deal with. But Nicola handles it all with class and just the perfect amount of Scottish humor to get those grumpy people smiling. As for all those moving parts, let's just say that she can juggle and put out fires! She notices EVERY detail. The hair that's out of place, the stain you didn't notice. The one person who keeps closing their eyes. She's even likely to help you with that oh so important safety pin that will save the whole day. I wish I had known her when I got married. Oh well, she did a great job on my friend's wedding. Also, I have used her services for my business head shots, and for pictures of my puppies which I have posted here. I get compliments on those pictures every time someone sees them. I have many friends who have also used her services for businesss head shots, engadegements, pregnancy and baby pictures, and family portraits. To be clear, I never had Nicola Borland take pictures of my kids...because we never got that far. I had seen an ad from her on my Facebook feed about being the best Pasadena photographer so I was interested. I first called her in November and got her Voicemail saying that her office was closed and to send her an email....so I did. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything back (other than a form email saying someone would get back to me), I decided to call again to see if she could fit in a picture before Christmas. This time, her voicemail was full so I could not even leave a message....Could I have tried a 3rd time, sure. But I really wanted pictures for Christmas and I was not willing wait and see if she answered her phone or email a third time.
