I found Carin in the Ventura County Business Women's group. I was going through the list of photographers, and I happened to find a photo she took of the founder of the group. The photo really resonated with me, she seemed to capture the sweet and playful spirit of the founder. I never considered another photographer once I found Carin. Her website and social media -are breathtaking. You can see all her work - it does not disappoint. The pictures of her previous clients are beautiful, airy, romantic, and light. I was drawn to the natural colors in her portfolio. Many of the photos were un-posed natural sessions outside. After one email exchange, I went ahead and booked the appointment. She was very responsive to my ideas. Her response time was very quick. Here are the things that set her apart from everyone else. The transparency of the investment and the packages on her website were easy to find. I had sifted through several photographer sites that were all requesting a quote. I have a lot going on and do not want to wait for someone to get back to me on pricing. If I see this, I move on. I was looking for a photographer because I noticed in previous photos of me, my vibe was very corporate and serious. My intent for these photos was to embody a more playful side and be more approachable. Her professionalism at the point of contact was friendly, enthusiastic and also clear, concise, and to the point. We met at a mutual location, she was prompt and on time. She greeted me with a smile and put me at ease. Carin was very communicative and attentive during the whole process. First, she was so fun to be around that day. I felt like we were long-time friends. She was so kind and helpful. She went along with all my quirks. Second, she captured the fun and true essence of who I am in these photos. My true self was represented all day! Carin takes any prop, any bush, and turns it into magic. She transported me from a simple park wall to a tropical destination and somehow made me look even better than in real life. I am not sure how she does it, but one thing is clear, she has a talent and an eye that is next level. I felt like a celebrity and during the session, she would show me the images - it built up my confidence even more. Third, every picture was beautiful, and far exceeded my expectations. The experience was positive. We had a bit of a hiccup at the beginning of the session with security. He told us that we were not allowed to take photos on the property. Carin was calm and started to brainstorm about what parks were around us. Fortunately, we were close to some neighborhoods that did have parks. When I received the finished photos. I was blown away. I received the proofs within a week of the photo session. The first time I saw the photos, I didn't even recognize myself because I look like a professional model. When it came time for me to decide on which photos, I wanted. I really had a hard time deciding. It took me hours before I made some choices. The photos are dreamy and incredible and I couldn't pick a favorite. I LOVED all the tasteful and funny candid she took that day. There is not one bad picture in the bunch (and there are many pictures to choose from)! The way Carin sets up the photos, she has them displayed in a photo gallery. The best part is if you want to order more or different photos you can choose more. You have lifetime access - which I don't think is common. Some photographers will keep the photos available for a year and offer a package for you to purchase more. Every time I go through the gallery, I find a new favorite. I was so happy with the results. She helped bring my overall vision to life and beyond. The final products were on time and superior. I could go on and on, I'm her biggest fan, but I have never in my life appreciated photos more than I do with her. I will treasure them forever. Carin has taken our family photos the last two years, and those images are among my favorites that have ever been captured of us. We always receive a ton of compliments on our holiday cards with her images. She is so great with our young boys (and our puppy!) and always manages to capture the spirit of our family quickly and beautifully. We've had family photo shoots last over an hour with other photographers, and the kids get super bored. Carin is an awesome photographer! I did a maternity shoot with her, and a family shoot once the baby was born. Both sessions felt like natural sessions with suggested ideas, but no true poses which was great for me because I am not good at posing or fake smiles. Somehow, Carin got so many amazing and frame-worthy shots in each day. Carin shot our wedding for us April 2016 and she went above and beyond anything we could've expected and the results were amazing. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and communication was effortless. I was a bit all over the place in what I thought I wanted stylistically with the photos but Carin "got it" and delivered beautifully.
