One of my muffler hangers on the car body had fallen off so there was no way to keep the muffler…read moresafely hanging. Jesse shaped a piece of steel rod into a hanger perfectly matching the location of the old one. Then he welded on a metal plate and now my muffler is nicely centered again without hitting anything when on the road. Otherwise no car shop was willing to help but only Jesse!

I needed special size extra long bolts for my car that I could not find supplied at any store…read more Jesse made the bolts for me exactly the length and thread I needed and it took him no time at all! He was very fast and and even coated the bolts for me so they do not rust. I would not hesitate hiring Jesse Robinson for any size custom blacksmith work. Since Jesse did such a great job the first time with making specialty bolts I decided to use his skilled welding services again for repairing my exhaust as it had cracked but did not need full replacement and for a Saab, those are quite expensive for a new one! Jesse quickly saw which connection needed replacement, then cut the old one out and perfectly welded on a new connection and pipe in place so that nobody could tell it was not the factory exhaust once he was done with it! He also completed all the work on a holiday! Would definitely use Jesse again next time I need a quality welder.

The problem with PSTA is it's a revolving door of instructors and they can never seem to keep instructors for no more than 6 months. PSTA has a habit of losing it's good instructors, but they always seem to retain the bad ones. Maybe it's because the bad instructors were so good at making PSTA money by failing the students on purpose during qualification time. Everyone working contract security in the DMV heard about Department of Labor's investigation on PSTA when they discovered PSTA was failing students on purpose during qualification time just to get them to pay another $250-$350 each time to qualify. After that investigation, I can't believe how they're still in business. As far as the good instructors were concerned, they made the students feel comfortable and confident in class, they were highly knowledgeable and gave great scenarios, and they truly cared about the students passing and exceeding. They used to have a short Latino guy who was a former Marine as a range instructor. He was REALLY good. More people passed with him as the range instructor because he took his time with everyone and never raise his voice one bit. They had an actual paramedic teach the CPR course and he was really good. They had another guy who was a former Marine teach the CPR class and he was really good and engaging. As far as the bad instructors were concerned, much of them yelled at the students, ridiculed them for their shooting abilities, and they didn't have a desire to teach or educate anyone. They just showed up for a check and made themselves feel good by bragging to the students on how well they knew how to shoot. Even the people who worked the front retail store were very nasty. You could come in there and ask them questions regarding product or be in there to pick up uniforms or equipment and they would get an attitude for you simply talking to them. Once again, it was people who looked down on security officers and thought they were so much superior over them because they either came from a military background or they were in some type of administrative role. There are places other than PSTA that you can get your security certifications from, as well as your weapons qualification training. You just have to research them
