The facilities, recently updated and refurbished, are comfortable, cutting edge, beautiful, and comfortable. Even the music was uplifting and enjoyable. My only beef is the overuse of paper -- I look forward to being able to get receipts, explanation of benefits, and estimates of plans electronically. Save the trees!

I could save money by going somewhere else, but I don't because I trust the work they're doing. They offer me a blanket, pillow and water at longer appointments like fill-ins. I'll always say yes to a blanket! ;) They're totally fine with me putting in my headphones and listening to music or podcasts so I can drown out the noise while they work. They really do their best to make sure your comfortable, your questions are answered, and your teeth and gums are in good health. I was with Makenzie the day I'm writing this review and she is a great hygienist! She did my latest cleaning and did a wonderful job. She was also super friendly and good at explaining things as she did them. Be sure to call and book your appointment in advance! It's usually that appointments are only available a month away from when I call. Note: I wrote a review of Bacsa Family Dentist when they were going by Emerson Ave Dental in a different building. He and his staff are kind and very professional. They make you feel at home. They always welcome you with a smiling face and stellar customer service. My kids done usually like going to the dentist, but they look forward to their cleanings. It's all in the way they treat you and take care of their clients.

They took every precaution and I felt quite Covid safe from a hygiene perspective, for a person laying with their mouth gaping wide open. The office, the equipment, and the staff were all cleaned, shielded, etc. Sharon did a great job, and is a pleasure. We both love that she doesn't try to talk to you the entire time. We have never been able to figure out why a hygienist wants to carry on a conversation the whole time anyway, as it is impossible to answer with your mouth filled with their tools and hands. There have been few hiccups here and there, such as the dentist filing my front teeth on one occasion without my permission (Luckily, I stopped he before too much damage was done), and a staff member asking me about another patient who goes there, but was not there that day (HIPAA doesn't allow that). Today, they took me back and seated me in my dental chair. I was all situated and settled when someone I've never seen there before came in to tell me I had a past due balance. Surprised, because I always settle up before I leave, I apologized and started to hand her my card. It was for $35.00 from my last appointment. I've received for Invisalign, whitening, and this visit, I was going to schedule an in office whitening. So, I have gladly paid a LOT more than $35 at other visits, and I've never had a bill. She then told me it went to collections. Surprised, I said "you guys know I come here every 6 months, right? Could you have called or mailed a bill at least?" She said they emailed me. I told her that email is not an ok way to bill. I have never had an outstanding bill, and I always come every 6 months. She left and came back to tell me they had actually canceled my appointment because I had an outstanding bill. Nobody even called to tell me that my appointment was canceled!! When I went up front to get my receipt, the office manager tried to tell me that had I communicated with them, this could have been avoided. I would have GLADLY communicated back with them had I known. Then she said things like "I'm sorry you feel that way" and "that's our policy" Oh what a joke! I respect that policies need to be in place, but it is even more important to have brains working behind these policies. So, over $35 after I've been a patient for a decade and spent WELL over that out of pocket, they lost a client who was getting ready to pay a hefty price for in office whitening. Way to go!

I sat in his chair for a procedure, and he told me he could't do the procedure because my teeth need to be cleaned first, and he doesn't have time to do that. He or his staff could've mentioned this when we scheduled the appointment, but they did not. I was disappointed I'd have to make a second trip, but I was easy going about it. "Fair enough. Let's get me scheduled for a cleaning, and then we'll reschedule the procedure no problem." Then, he told me he needs to charge me for the visit when literally all he did was tell me I needed a cleaning. I politely raised the question to the staff as I was checking out. "I'm confused. Is it your policy to charge people when you did no procedure and did no cleaning? I was in the chair for approximately one minute." They explained that it was their policy. I paid the bill and left. A few days later I receive a letter from him in the mail. He asked me not to come back and he called me a liar. I was flabbergasted. I didn't agree with his practice of charging a fee for no work being done, but I was never rude to him or his staff. I will not be going back. You won't have to ask me twice. There are much better options nearby by professional, courteous dentists. Stay away from Walker!
