She works very hard to make the shots happen but is very discrete, I don't even recall seeing her throughout the ceremony. One word to describe Nicole and our experience working with her as a photographer..."AMAZAZING!!!" That's right. I threw an extra syllable in there cuz she's worth it. She captured every moment of the engagement session and wedding day with precision and elegance. We were more than impressed with her work to say the least, from her detail shots to candid photos to formal poses. She can do your session at a local park and make it look like you're at the Garden of Versailles. Or at some back alley and make it look like you're in the streets of Italy. How is that possible you ask? I don't really know, that's how good she is. If I can give her more stars, I would. Remember, the photographer is the vendor you'll be spending the most time with, so it's imperative that you find someone that you're comfortable working with and having around all day (especially for the bride/bridesmaids who are constantly changing). Her work is on par if not better than most photographers we've seen, and her rates/packages are more than reasonable. She has no hidden fees or ancillary charges, and she's also amenable to extending the session to get the job done. What a trooper. Looking back, for the price she quoted us and the service she provided, I feel like I'm ripping her off. But it's ok because after the experience you would have made a new friend, and it's ok to take advantage of friends. LOL. Don't let her age fool you as her talent speaks for itself. She may look young and have a nonchalant demeanor during your first meet-and-greet, but from her work you can tell she's a seasoned vet. Trust me. Your family and friends would love working with her. If you want a photographer who's professional, fun, outgoing, gregarious, creative, artistic, talented, patient, accommodating, flexible, and awesome, go with Nicole. Nicole was wonderful! She was great at guiding us (we are awkward in photos!) without making the pictures too posed or unnatural. Her style is beautiful- airy, dreamy and romantic. Her prices were very reasonable and was the best I found for the style we wanted. She even included a free engagement shoot, which we used as additional time for the day of our wedding. Nicole got along very well with all our other vendors and was a true team player. She worked well with our videographer and was great at being discreet when taking her photos during key moments. I actually found Nicole Chow on Yelp and I'm SO happy I did! My fiancé and I planned our entire wedding from out-of-state, which was quite difficult. When I decided to book Nicole, she asked when we'd like our complimentary engagement shoot... but we weren't really going to be in California until the wedding week. EXCEPT we happened to be flying to California for a few days for a friend's wedding, and I had booked Nicole the DAY BEFORE we flew out. So when I told her we were going to be in California the next 3 days and then not again until the wedding, she made magic happen. She found the time to quickly collaborate with us to find a time and place in the next 3 days for the engagement session. She researched some pretty locations, and made herself available at the crack of dawn to meet with us. We signed all the paperwork the same day we met her, and the same day she took all of our engagement pictures. On top of all that, she is incredibly reasonably priced for the quality of photos she produces! She does not disappoint! We purchased the cheapest package which meant we only got Nicole, and no one else to help her with photos. Regardless, she was still able to capture all the shots I had hoped for and all the memorable moments of the night. She even put up with my videographers who kept getting in the way of her every shot, as well as the wedding party and families who were too excited and talkative to pay attention to the directions she was giving. But she finally grabbed everyone's attention and got the shots we needed in a very small time window. And I wasn't looking at the clock, but I'm pretty sure she even stayed past her booked time window to make sure she got some shots of us cutting the cake. I had such an amazing time getting my graduation photos done with Nicole. Not only is she super sweet but she was very patient with me and made me feel really comfortable the entire time. She knew exactly what to do to make me laugh and what poses would look great for my shoot. I was immediately impressed by her portfolio and artistic style. Upon meeting Nicole, my husband and I were immediately delighted by her professionalism and warm personality.
