Valerie is Amazing! I'm not a review person but i remember when i was searching for a great photographer to shoot our maternity session in 2012, and reviews helped me found her!! So i would love to share this with you... We have had three different and beautiful experiences with Valerie, first our Maternity session, followed by our "Newborn" session, i got to admit that i was really nervous ( being a first time mom) having my 2 week old baby in a photoshoot, i was worried about so many things, but let me tell you, it only took a minute for me to relax after seeing the amazing connection that she has with babies, her goal is to always keep your baby comfortable, warm and relax, so my husband and I were absolutely happy with her work, pictures came out amazing and our coffee table book even more! I don't like Vendors and I don't like being pitched. That's why it why the entire wedding planning process was difficult for me: endless Vendors and endless pitching. I dreaded the day we had to meet with Photographers... and then we me Valerie. She had two strikes against her when she arrived for our appointment: she was genuinely bubbly and had tons of ideas. Little did I know that those two traits that I viewed as negative would be the difference between hiring some schmuck to snap pictures of our wedding and hiring Val - an overly competent, clear headed, focused artist. Looking in the rear view mirror I can't imagine having anyone else shoot our wedding. Val was organized, humorous, aggressive when she needed to be, flattering when she had to be, and always looking for the next shot that would be "the shot" that would capture our day. Valerie rocks! She helped us with our wedding photography and did such a great job we wanted her for our newborn photos. I realize now it takes a very special person to be able to take great newborn photos. She was able to get my son to relax for 5 hours and position him in a million different ways without fussing. Everytime I was thinking "my son is never going to go for this...he is gonna start crying" and he never did. Valerie was business to get the perfect shot and is a baby whisperer. I reached out to Valerie to book her for our newborn photos as soon as I found out I was expecting my second child. Hi Valerie, thanks for the time you've taken to write back. Honestly you are a talented photographer and I enjoyed having you there to take photos. The problem was that after you left the party, the communication went south, and it caused my husband and I a lot of stress. Not being able to get a hold of you through any means, text, email, phone calls, etc. after leaving several messages really made me worry. I didn't know if you were ever going to send me the photos. After all, you are a total stranger to me that I decided to take a chance on based on your website. Finally, after what seemed to me, a very long time, you responded but your response came off as being annoyed and that you couldn't be bothered with answering any of my questions or concerns. Then you continued to refer me to your "brochure" for further clarification. I did not appreciate this response especially after waiting for what seemed to be forever to get a response from you. Your work is phenomenal, there is no doubt, but the way I was treated afterwards was rude. It just made me feel like, you had already made your money off of me, and so the ball was in your court to deal with me however you pleased because you were the one that had the photos that I needed. So, if that meant ignoring my calls, making me wait for them til it was convenient for you to get them to me, or not wanting to explain anything to me because you just didn't have the time, then it was okay. You had the pictures that I wanted and there was nothing I could do about it. That was the feeling I got, and it was the worst. That is why I decided to write my review. read more

As a new mom, the thing I most appreciated was that she took her time to make sure my baby was comfortable and safe before snapping photos. She was so gentle, patient and kind with our sweet newborn.
