Went to their office for routine cleaning. Very personable and professional. I would highly recommend this establishment.

I had a terrible experience as a child preventing me from seeking proper dental care. When I finally got the nerve to call, I was able to ask questions surrounding my anxiety and immediately felt at ease. I was able to get in for an emergency appointment the following week and scheduled a 3 hour appointment for 4 weeks later to clean my teeth and fix my broken tooth. My anxiety kicked in when I arrived and sat in the parking lot. I am so thankful I went in. I have never felt so comfortable in a dental office. The entire staff is amazing, but Rosie is the absolute best! She took care of me on both appointments and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process of deep cleaning and fixing my broken tooth. I took the option of being knocked out for the procedure. The price was reasonable and can be done at their office which is not common. For the first time in my life, I look forward to going to the dentist. I have more work ahead and I cannot wait to go (yes, this must sound crazy). I love them so much I made an appointment for my husband and brother to pay them a visit. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Thank you Dr. Long and your entire staff. Colleen Eberle

When she told him about the crown he tried to explain that he could not afford that, but she try to patch the tooth in the meanwhile. She refused and continued to be very rude to him, so he stood up and left. Additionally, he said that it took about 30 minutes or more for the dental assistant to take his x-rays, something that should be able to be accomplished in just a few minutes, because she kept messing up with the antiquated equipment. My husband's appointment had nothing to do with me,I've been seen once before and while my experience was not like my husband's, I did note that the same Dr. was rude. I called the other day to make an appointment for myself and was told that both my husband and myself were no longer welcome there as patients and that a letter had been sent a "year ago" of such, which we never received. While I was trying to understand what was happening, with a tooth ache, and explaining I had never been rude to anyone there ever and why was I being kicked out for nothing. The staff, the office manager and the Dr immediately started yelling at me and when I expressed that they were being rude to me, they hung up on me. As a side note, all of their equipment is antiquated and takes a long time to use and warm up. I do not recommend this dentist to anyone.

At 10 years old, he fell and chipped it, then when he had braces, the nerve got more damaged, so he had to have a root canal which made his tooth gray and brittle. He found a dentist near his college who was going to charge us $3-4K ($2-3K after insurance) and was going to place a crown, then shave and veneer his other front tooth to match. We weren't happy with another perfectly good tooth being damaged or the cost. By chance, I was flying into town the same day and took him for a haircut when we passed by 32 Dental. I thought it looked nice, the signs indicated that they did the type of work he needed, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Their top dentist and owner, Dr. Kristian Cabugao, saw him the next day, matched and made a near perfect shade/texture crown, and slightly shaped the surrounding teeth to avoid any grinding. Then, he was fitted with a custom top/bottom mouth guard. All of this happened the very next day in 3 hours for under $1K (after insurance)! The other front tooth did not even need a veneer. We were thrilled. A shout out and thank you to Dr. Kristian and the team at 32 Dental!

She is a really great, extremely reliable dentist (wonderful, hyper detail oriented, ultra ultra conscientious--and friendly and kind). Recently Dr Elizabether Ashiku did me a great service. She saved my tooth when a negligent exam from a Berkeley dentist (holly wieber) caused me to almost lose that tooth. I could tell something was off when I saw doctor weiber and so I went to get a 2nd opinion from Dr Ashiku because she's so flawlessly reliable. I sat in the dental chair for a visit that stretched to three hours as Dr Ashiku valiantly tried to clean up the mess dr wieber had left behind. She kept saying "I think we can save the tooth," and "You may have to have a root canal; lets see what we can do." She did save my tooth and after a vitality test my tooth is still okay, three months after the initial crisis. Dr Ashiku is extremely alert, informed, and conscientious. Also she makes me feel genuinely valued and liked. It's often been quite inconvenient for me to have to schedule dental appointments in Ukiah though I live in Berkeley, but I think that so long as I can travel to Ukiah, I will continue to see Dr Ashiku, even if a new dentist I found in Berk turns out to be pretty good. Dr Ashiku is about as fastidiously reliable a dentist as you will ever find. My husband recommended her to me and she's been taking excellent care of our teeth for years. If keeping your teeth is a priority for you, go see Dr Elizabeth Ashiku.

I understand offices have schedules, but the lack of flexibility was frustrating, especially since I notified them in advance about an uncontrollable situation. I'm disappointed by the lack of consideration after my effort to make it there. I hope the office reconsiders its policy for such circumstances in the future.

From the moment you enter you are greeted by Kathy at the front window. Kathy is one of those rare friendly medical office people. But aside from her friendly demeanor, she is also wonderful about scheduling, calling to remind you of your appointments, and being very flexible. She also did a wonderful job working around my schedule when my insurance was going to be ending -- we got my urgent dental work done prior to that. As far as dental work, I am impressed. I rarely even feel much more than a little pinch when I get a shot, and have never felt any pain at all when having a cleaning or teeth filled. The lady who cleans teeth -- I'm sorry I can't remember her name -- is awesome. She also takes the time to explain how things work, why certain things are important, and ways you can improve... and she does it without making you feel like a failure. :) The Dr. is friendly, professional, and clean. He does great work and does it quickly and I truly never dread going to the dentist now. I have been recommending Dr. Milani to my friends and family and would continue to do so. This is truly the only 5 star review I have ever done for a company because I don't believe in the "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" Rating -- but I really think Dr. Milani's office is "As good as it gets!" -- so much so that when I tried to review them and found them to now be on Yelp!, I had to add them myself. :)

The hygienist treated me with no knowledge of my medical history, or my dental records including ex-rays. I am a perio patient, and I asked her if my pocket readings had improved since my root planing procedure, and she said "she had no idea because the doctor never gave her my records". (I had already had my exam with the dentist two weeks before, so he had two weeks to give them to her.) I do not know if that is illegal or legal to do today- for a dental professional to treat a patient without any knowledge of the patient's medical history. The exam with the doctor was...interesting. I think he is last of the mohicans because he does amalgam (silver) fillings. I have not heard of any dentist using amalgam for so many years, I figured it was banned or something, due to the mercury toxicity that can occur with "silver" fillings. But this guy does amalgam fillings. (by the way, most dental insurance covers at least a portion of a "composite" filling -tooth colored fillings) I told the dentist about my areas of gum recession, where I had exposed root showing, and told him I had root sensitivity during cleanings on those certain teeth. He asked me, "So then, do you use topical for your cleanings?" (GUESS WHAT GUYS..."TOPICAL" ANESTHETIC GEL ONLY WORKS ON SOFT TISSUE INSIDE YOUR MOUTH INCLUDING YOUR GUMS. "TOPICAL" DOES NOT WORK ON ROOT SENSITIVITY, OR ANY OTHER PART OF A TOOTH.) I was very surprised at his question. My response to his inquiry was, "No, because topical does not work on root surfaces- it works on tissue pain." Dr. Milani made no response and looked a little strange. Dr. Milani knew that I have been a hygienist myself, in CA. I hear he teaches at one of our prominent dental schools. (I was an instructor during my career as well.) I wrote to my previous hygienist who lives a bit far, relating my experience and dialogue with this office in much greater detail. He wrote back saying that his stomach hurt from laughing at my letter. I cannot think of a single person who I would recommend this office to. Sorry.
