It has taken me a long time to write this review. I found this photographer through Instagram. When we first talked, I explained that this was a surprise gift for my sister, who was expecting. She told me her pricing, and she was within my price range. Her photos were beautiful. Therefore, I decided to book her. She sent me her invoice and explained that I would get $50 off if I paid via Venmo. That was my first mistake. She after I booked her, she never sent me a contract with any details. I RECEIVED NOTHING. She let me know that I needed to notify her within 48 hours of the baby being born. My sister had her baby in late January. I informed her that the baby was born. I then proceed to provide her my sister's e-mail address. She had my sister booked within a week of my niece being born. They wanted family photos with the baby. She did make it work for them, so her partner could be part of it. I did appreciate that. After the shoot, my sister called me and said Nicole was terrific. She was great with the baby. Nicole let me sister know she was swamped but would do a sneak peek within 48 hours, and within two weeks, she would receive her gallery. She did not post the sneak peek picture until 3/5 on IG. Weeks had passed, and no pictures. I reached out to her, and she let me know turnaround times vary on her schedule because she was a birth doula. Had I had known this, I maybe wouldn't have booked my session with her. In late March, our Governer issues a shelter in place. Her county was not affected, and she continued doing shoots. Fine, not my concern, but unfortunately, it makes you upset to know you don't have your photos. Nicole had previously hosted a live video on IG, saying that she did not have to explain to her clients what she does with her time. I found this so odd, but now I understand. I reached out to her again and tell her my sister has postpartum, and I would like the images to try and cheer her up, and that because it has taken so long, she thinks she lost them. She replies with a defensive e-mail, saying that even though these are precious moments, there are more important things going on in the world. REALLY? You shot them 2/8 on 3/15; you still hadn't sent pictures. Yet, I need to be understanding. In all my communication with her, I was friendly and kind. My sister didn't get her pictures until NINE WEEKS after the baby was born. I am all for women who dabble in many things, do you, girl. Yet, you can't have this as a business practice. People spent a lot of money and trusted you with one of the most important things in their lives, and this is how you treat them? It is poor business etiquette. She did offer 20% OFF another session as an apology for the delay. WHY would I book again with her if she took that long to produce my product! She takes on more work than she can handle. I wish this experience would have turned out differently. If you want to wait for pictures, she is the photographer for you. read more

Book this photographer only if you are okay with getting the final pictures 2-3 months from the time of the session. She's a nice lady who takes great pictures but she's very busy with her doula business. She might not have time to edit/send final products in the usual time frame of 3-4 weeks like other photographers. You might have to text her many reminders about it too before she will send you the gallery. Pricewise, she's very reasonable and her studio is small but plenty of props/costumes for baby photos. read more

I decided to hire Nicole to take my daughters 2 year old pictures when she was highly recommended by a friend. She was incredible. Her patience with my daughter was amazing, and her professionalism was admiring! Her willingness and ease to work with me while I struggled ordering my prints off the gallery (I'm not tech savvy!) was much appreciated. She even hand delivered my disc with all our photos straight to my house. I will continue to use Nicole for as long as she is available. Update: Nicole did our newborn pictures last year!! Nothing short of amazing yet again! She is incredible with new fresh little babies! She also snapped some a few of my daughter by herself with this headband she wanted to wear with her phone, for fun as we were leaving and those came out amazing too! I made prints of those! I am convinced these reviews have to be from family members or friends. I waited a long while to post this review. I used Nicole's services last year but decided to post this review after a friend of a friend had a similar experience. This woman has no business professionalism. You will pay a hefty amount for your photos and get your pictures months later. She will have an excuse every time you email her about why pictures have not been delivered. Most of her photos are family, maternity, or newborn style pictures but she will tell clients she's so busy with her kids and other jobs, as if clients who book her don't have children or jobs themselves. You would think as a newborn photographer with children herself that there would be a sense of empathy, or feeling of urgency to get clients their galleries for announcements, but there is none with her. She is good with kids so one star for that. Tip of advice: book the other photographer, even if you have to pay more. It's not worth the headache hounding her for photos and waiting till your baby's 4 months to get what was supposed to be newborn pictures. Also, if you do end up booking with her, pay with a tracked form of payment (not Venmo) so the charge can be disputed if you don't get your photos on time. read more

I purchased a "BOGO - BUY NEWBORN GET MATERNITY SESSION FREE" package for $750 on November 18, 2022. She did not provide services for my family. We had a date set for February 9th so I had a dress fitting scheduled the week before. I told the dress fitter who my photographer was and she said, "hopefully she actually comes through for you, she tends to use her personal trips and her kids being sick to put off her clients until the 12 month deadline." Sure enough, she chose to put me off time and time again instead of fulfilling her end of the bargain. She continuously used the weather as an excuse for why she couldn't provide services. Or took a week to respond due to being out of town. When I complained to her she said we could use her studio the same day, I worked full time until the day I gave birth, so I couldn't just leave work. Not to mention I had to go pick up my dress and I had makeup scheduled for this. I was already passed my due date at this time and felt extremely uncomfortable, not only with myself but with her. She scheduled a session for my family to have our photos taken, however it was NOT what I paid for and I wasn't even comfortable with her at this point. I followed her work on social media for nearly 10 years before I was able to acquire her services and I am completely dissatisfied and will never recommend her to anyone. read more

She took my money and never delivered any photos. It has been almost 6, yes 6 months since I took my photos with this business. Not once have I received any email or link to my gallery. What I have been given is absolutely every excuse as to why they were not done and ultimately, she turned it on me saying that she sent the email( (with the photos link) and that it had been opened. The two glaring problems is that if she really had the photos to send, it wouldn't be a problem to simply resend that email. Secondly if she did send them and they were opened, that would mean she sent my personal photos to the wrong email and a stranger is now in possession of them. Which brings you back to the first problem of why won't she just resend the photos? The answer is for some reason she just doesn't have them. Maybe never actually took them? Who knows but she did take my money. read more

Nicole took some amazing photos of me for a boudoir photoshoot for an anniversary gift for my husband. We recently found out we were pregnant and I wanted to capture my pre-baby body while I had the chance. Nicole made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera, even though I had already started to show a little bit. She assured me that she would get great angles to enhance my features and I was astonished when I received my photos back. She edited them perfectly so my body was flattering and not fake or unrealistic. If i could choose no stars i would. Many current clients may have seen public posts regarding this issue on the business page before it was deleted. New clients beware! I have two small babies who had scheduled separate sessions to have their pictures taken. In july my oldest (15months) had an out door water shoot (vintage tub) issues had come up because she was late. We were having bad weather ( ridiculously windy) which is out of our control. My son became unhappy, and she cut the session short. In result we agreed to reschedule. Now in August the day of our retake i was in the ER with my son, she moved our reschedule out by two days and inturn she cancelled it because now she was sick. Being September i contacted her asking to nail down date(s) so BOTH of my sons can get their pictures taken. (one out door & one in door) She schedule my 4month old indoor studio session for this coming sunday. Still waiting the time. And said for my 15 months out door shoot she is booked for out door sessions & No longer doing tub session. To sit tight to see if she has any cancellations. She posts publicly that she has 5 openings this sunday in her studio (my youngest included) so i suggested to do both boys that day in the studio (not what i wanted but trying to compromise) she had several excuses, studio is only for 12month old (my oldest is 15 month) i ask what options do i have beside "sitting tight" a watching another month pass. I said today is the first od September can we not set a date sometime in the month? Knowing next month the holiday season will began and she will be booked for year end. She began asking to continue this by phone or private message. Suspicious i continued on the Facebook post. I asked her what suggestions does she have. What are my options? I would like to resolve this. Nicole now asked me if i wanted a refund for my sundays appt for my 4 month old. I told her i would like to fix this and move forward. But the matter at hand is regarding my 15month old session. She deleted all facebook posts and sent me a message. "This is how she supports her family & offered a reschedule & it didnt work out, she is cancelling my youngest (4month old) session" i said im a single mommy of two and these sessions were expensive for us and our life situation. It cant be we tried, it didnt work, to bad, can it? Im asking you to work with me. She replied by suggesting i go eslewhere she isnt willing to take my sons photos. I asked for a refuned of BOTH sessions. She refused and blocked me. As seen in her site she has evening outdoor session available. As shown in her albums she takes great pictures, and this is why i wanted to do business. for many it may work out but for those of us who have run into an issue she offers no options. How is it one month we can recshedule & not another. We both had life circumstances. Shes only open to new business. And unwilling to set a rescheduling date. Not only that but she is a super great with kids and you can tell she's a great mom with her own with her natural nurturing nature with her clients children. When I had to reschedule my newborn session because I was a new mom struggling to produce and worried because my baby had lost weight and I needed to supplement, she was so understanding and made me feel better about my new mom struggle. I had the pleasure of hiring Nicole to do a mini-maternity and newborn shoot a couple of months ago. She was such a natural, easy going and experienced professional to work with. I was amazed at how she worked with our kids especially the 1 1/2 year old during a couple of the family shots for the maternity session. Nicole is an amazing photographer!! She just put our gallery up for viewing today and once again- I am in LOVE with her skills! I can't believe it has taken me this long to write her a Yelp review, but life gets busy and things get "pushed to the back burner" so to speak. We were introduced to Nicole in 2010 and have since had her take our photos 7+ times. She has taken my UOP graduation photos, a large extended family session, a couple's session, and my immediate family photos many times. She takes time with the kids and gets them feeling comfortable with her. She even manages to get my boys to show off their adorable natural smile. The icing on the cake: our yippy pup even likes her. Nicole is wonderful with suggesting poses, locations and the perfect time of day to get the best shots possible. However, she is also great at listening to what we are envisioning. At the end of every session, she always asks, "Is there anything else you want?" I recommend her ALL the time and will continue to do so. I took my 8 day old daughter to her studio in Tracy for a newborn photo session and was super impressed with how she manages to work with babies that small. She was gentle and took all the time my fussy and restless baby needed. We were seriously there for 3+ hours. I wish I could give Nicole 6 on 5 stars. I love the way Nicole took our photographs. I purchased the milestone session with her and she is truly a baby whisperer. Not only is she a baby whisperer, she is so natural with kids that she can get such awesome shots with kids whatever age they maybe. There are lots of pictures that she took that adorns our wall and all our friends and relatives always comment on who the photographer is. We had 2 of our friends who also eventually connected with her and their kids pics are flawless. Truly would recommend her 110% if you want a great capture of your family. Oh and I have to mention, she has always been so accommodating and understanding. I remember how I called her from the hospital mentioning my kid was born early than my due date and she made all possible arrangements to get him clicked in the first 14 days. Thank you Nicole. I love working with Nicole! So far I have done three completely different sessions with Nicole and each time was a wonderful experience. First session I took boudoir photos when I was already 3 months pregnant. I was very nervous, but Nicole was extremely professional, while still friendly and laid back to calm my nerves. I ended up having a great time and the photos turned out amazing. Second session Nicole captured my baby girl at two weeks old. She was so gentle and patient working with my daughter. Of course I'm in love with the photos she took. Just last week she took family photos with about 25 people.
