The Luminary process is a bit lengthy, ~1.5 hrs, but worth it. Luminary stays longer than traditional gel and is better on my nails than the dip I used to get. The salon itself is clean and the staff very professional and the cost is reasonable as well. They have a specific cancellation policy be sure to fully understand the implications of cancelling an appointment before you book. I use the Vagaro app and it works perfectly for me. The salon offers many types of nail services and I impressed with the options. I've yet to get a pedicure but plan to when the weather warms. I've seen some serious nail art while there and it would appear that they do a great job of it as well. I highly recommend the salon and Teagan!

I mentioned this to her and she just brushed it off. I mention this at the time of payment and they said they'll make sure staff is aware of what a service includes, going forward, agreeing with me. But they didn't change me for a lesser service (polish change) so that doesn't exactly help me! Generally they always seem extremely stressed to stay within very tight time frames (I think my service was like 18 minutes) and kind of churning people out as quickly as possible.

He is very quiet and introverted but I love that about him. I love a nail tech that is focused + doesn't do too much talking, because it leaves less room for error. I am usually pleased when I leave. I always love the ambiance of Elodie Nails. Nice decor, clean, and plenty of tv's to keep you entertained. I also like that you can earn points from your visits to use toward a discount on future appointments.

But Mia (no longer there) did such a great job on my nail art and manicure. I gave a pass. But after this time when I got the same attitude and was being rushed, even though I booked an appointment, I will not go back. I booked for a full builder get set. She tried to glue acrylics to my nails and told me they don't do builder gel molds, even though that is what they claim to be known for on their website. I ended up paying $123 for plain gel nail polish and gel pedicure. I guess I paid extra for the attitude.

Today we drove over because I didn't feel like walking home in flip flops in the cold. :-) The shop is beautiful and spacious with an upscale feel. There are sections for manicures, and pedicures, and private rooms for facials. We chose the basic pedi, and received the 20% off January special. We received complimentary hot tea after we were seated in the gorgeous and comfortable brown leather armchairs. A novel aspect of this shop are the naturally antibacterial copper foot basins, used in Europe to promote a healthy immune system. Our services were performed by two of the owners, Orasa and Amanda. Our visit here was flawless and we will definitely return for more services. This is a lovely addition to the neighborhood.

The picture does not deliver how elegant my nails look, or how bold yet pinky-ballet core/bubble-gum core the cateye is. Usually when nail techs ask if I'm satisfied I'm easy to please, but rarely am I looking at my hands every 30 seconds and this deserves every penny! I had a friend in town and we decided to get pedicures together. After a quick browse on Yelp, I came across Thyme in Grandview. They are fairly new, only opened about a year and half ago, and you can find them in the new development right off of 670 on Dublin Rd. I gave them a call and they were able to fit us both in a few hours later... mind you this was a Friday morning. When we got there we were totally taken back by how big and gorgeous the salon is. Everything is pristine! From the chandeliers and the blue lighting on the ceiling to the massage chairs and nail display, they couldn't have done a better job. We both got just your basic pedicure, but with gel. It came out to about $70 for each of us, not too bad. I love how big their color selection is, way more than what was available at my previous spot. The staff was also very accommodating and did a lovely job. I have no doubt I'll be back!
