You'll get an accurate, thoughtful response. Lights lower, music softer? She's on it. No stress added that I arrived a couple minutes late. She apparently had time, so she tacked those couple minutes on to the end and I got as many minutes as I actually paid for - that's always super appreciated! It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. Then came the manicure. *I could not choose who my nail tech was, and ended up with an individual who could not do anything except stripes, dots, and French tips. I ended up needing to change my design 3 times. I asked for my nails to not be chopped low, as they were naturally very long, strong and healthy. The tech soaked my nails in acetone, which made them so weak and flexible they did nothing but snap, tear, and crack, which ended in them needing to be shortened to almost nothing. *In the end, I ended up paying $175 for polka dots and French tips, what I didn't want from the get go. I was charged $30 for said designs, $30 for something that took 10 minutes and then was also charged for a soak off that wasn't needed or necessary. The cherry on top is that none of my nails have the same shape, some are rectangle, some oval/round, and some almond (I asked for almond) In all, I walked out in tears solely for the overpriced service I received, as well as with butchered nails.
