I had been dealing with neck pain for over three years. I went through countless tests -- X-rays,…read moreCT scans, ultrasounds -- and yet never received a clear diagnosis. Doctors could only tell me what it wasn't, but never what it was. From my own research, I suspected it might be carotidynia, and the pain would often trigger migraines and become absolutely debilitating. After just seven weeks of acupuncture with Dr. Kim, I've had zero flare-ups for over a month now. None! It's absolutely astonishing. I can't believe that after three years of chronic pain, I finally have lasting relief. Dr. Kim has been such a gift. His treatments, care, and attention have made such a huge difference in my life, and I am so deeply grateful to him. I only wish my insurance covered his services, because I'd keep coming back for my back, shoulders, hips -- all the achy parts of my aging body! If you've been struggling with pain and haven't found answers, I can't recommend Dr. Kim highly enough. Acupuncture truly changed my life.

I am a frequent patient of Dr. Wu's and have been seeing him for years. Originally at his office…read morenear the Santa Monica Pier and now at his new location at 1930 11th Street - close to Pico & Lincoln. The new location is much more spacious and has a nice-sized parking lot (amen!) which is great! The acupuncture services are still as top-notch as ever; Dr. Wu has a well-deserved reputation for his skill in acupuncture, Qi Gong and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is true; Dr. Wu is not a strong communicator in English - his assistants are onsite to help with explaining pain points or treatments. I feel it adds to his credibility and authenticity.

First off, I've seen many acupuncturists over my life. And I worked for an acupuncturist for 3…read moreyears as his receptionist. I went to Dr. Wu who was highly recommended by friends. I have tinnitus. He told me I needed "12 sessions and after 6 I would feel my tinnitus dissipating." I went 4 times (twice a week, his direction)and spent $1134. At the end of my 4th session at the counter where I was paying I was informed that Dr. Wu was going to NY for a week so my treatments suddenly had a 10-day gap (he only works 3 afternoons a week). I was feeling strange about that so I wrote him a message (translated via google to Mandarin) and I got to the office after his absence and the receptionist told me that the website form doesn't work so they never got my email. I explained to her that my tinnitus was a lot worse. I wake up and my head is screaming at me. And I feel ZERO relief. I told her I wanted to talk to the doctor before treatment. He came in with his phone on translation very loud so everyone in the office heard, I suppose. As I explained that we stopped mid treatment and I felt that we were now starting all over, I expected that he would work with me on the price of the next 4 treatments (which in my opinion, he should have comped) but instead he told me that we had established a base and in a few more treatments I would feel relief. No! If your protocol was to see me twice a week, how is a 10-day interruption not significant?!?! Then I came out of the office and they wanted $270 for a bottle of herb tea ($80), herbal supplements ($59) and the $150 for the treatment. I told them I had more pills at home and they asked why like it was my fault that my ears were still ringing because I didn't take all the pills when he was out of town. I sent an email to the correct address asking for a breakdown of the herbal supplements so I could google and see what they were for (because he just hands them to you in a recycled water bottle and a generic pillbox). Then in correspondence I wrote an email explaining, again, that I felt that he should treat me 4 times without charge since he had interrupted my treatment. I received a cryptic email that did not address that. So I responded with that direct question and received a response basically lying about me communicating that things were getting better. It's hard to have a dialogue with someone who is translating. I responded, again, with direct clarity refuting the lie and telling them I won't be returning. In the 5 visits I had Dr. Wu never even felt my pulses. There are 6 pulses on each wrist. He's never felt them. Is he an actual licensed acupuncturist? I've never seen an acupuncturist that did not feel my pulses every visit. I'm not sure what others see him about but he did not help with my tinnitus at all. And the language barrier is a ruse. I'm writing this to give you fair warning. I'm all about Chinese acupuncture and Chinese medicine and will hopefully find someone who is able to quell this relentless tone in my ears.

So the result is going blind. I found Dr. Lin and Russ... Dr. Lin had over 120 all 5 star reviews and after running an Airbnb, I know how impossible it is to have all 5 stars. I called Russ... He took down all my issues, concerns etc and relayed them expertly to Dr. Lin. I set the appointment and cried until I was able to see her. She sat with me and listen to my medical history of 26 eye procedures/surgeries and how after botching the last surgery, my eye specialist at Jules Stein Eye Institute said there were no more option. Dr. Lin said, "Many of my patients are last resort." I cried with hope. I told Dr. Lin I couldn't go blind. These two eye diseases that I have have ruined my life and going blind is not an option. I won't be able to go on blind. Dr. Lin said this has been 22 years in the making so I have to be patient. She won't be able to fix me in one treatment. Clearly I understood that.... Well, I'm happy to report, I have been following Dr. Lin's protocol, taking the herbs as prescribed, going for acupuncture every week, praying and my eye specialist appointment this week was EPIC!!!! THE SWELLING IN THE LEFT EYE gone. AND MY SIGHT RETURNED TO 20/20. The right eye was the serious issue. Dr. Chen took pictures of the swelling and tested my eyesight. My eyesight is 20/60 from 20/120 AND THE SWELLING HAS DECREASED 50%!!! DECREASED 50%!!! And Dr. Lin and I have just begun our journey. Dr. Lin grew up in Twainan mastering the art of acupuncture and the energy that comes with it. She is a master of her craft. Anyone who has a medical issue that Western doctors can't fix??? Go see Dr. Lin and Russ. Or just if you want to feel better. Dr. Lin is a gift from God. She is saving my eyesight!! I didn't think this was at all possible, but being out of options, I had nothing to lose. You will not go wrong seeing Dr. Lin for your Western doctor mistakes or just to feel better...
