We referred to Dr Jing by a trusted friend. She truly is a deliverer of all good things in eastern medicine. My son has had issues with growth. Went to endocrinology at CHLA, to consider growth hormone (as a last option) and see if from a lab work perspective there was anything off. Things came back "normal". After my own experience with Dr Jing I took my son. She worked on his chi and was able to activate his endocrine system through the process which triggered puberty and growth. I highly recommend TCM Healing Center for fertility along with general health issues. Wear a loose top, shorts, slip on shoes. A visit lasts 1 hour, and meter parking is in front or free on the side streets. They accept credit cards and the entire staff is always comforting and professional. A friend recommended Dr. Jing after multiple MCs. After acupuncture and herbal tea, she gave birth naturally at 40. Upon research, Dr. Jing used to be an OBGYN in Beijing before moving to the US and is now a Professor of TCM at multiple colleges. The doctors here are familiar with IVF clinics and practice and offer valuable insight throughout. I've been coming here on a weekly basis (sometimes bi-weekly) since June 2018. My regimen was to drink a daily herbal tea & weekly acupuncture to combat endometriosis and get pregnant. 9/10 times I fall asleep with the needles in my face, scalp, neck, hand, stomach, legs, and feet. I switched to Dr. Lim due to the cost per visit as it's been over 1 year of treatment. I can say with confidence that all of the doctors are professional and kind. After 14 months, 1 laparoscopy and 2 egg retrievals and 2 FETs, I am now pregnant at age 38. I also saw Dr. Hart for cupping when I came down with a cold/flu. I highly recommend the yellow travel pills at the onset of getting sick. They totally work at preventing full blown illness, and I recovered much faster than usual with less phlegm/mucus and zero downtime. Back in LA and back at TCM Chinese Medicine. I really think without this place my health would have deteriorated a lot. When I had pneumonia some years ago, the antibiotics just weren't doing the trick (two doses). I went for acupuncture and Chinese medicinal tea and felt tremendously better. Some people are afraid of needles and don't want to try it. I once took a friend who went very grudgingly and came out saying she had never felt better in her life. Chinese acupuncture is centuries old and used to be (maybe still is?) the major medical treatment in China. The needles balance the electricity in the body, and the Chinese tea balances the body chemically. Many discomforts come because there is imbalance in the body and acupuncture + tea takes care of that. I believe the future of western medicine will be to have an acupuncturist in every office. They can complement western medicine in a very effective way. I get a treatment regularly. It's not cheap, $110/visit, but then it;s my health. And my health has improved mightily since I've been going to Dr. Jing. The initial visit is $250 but that's a one time charge because a full medical history is taken. For anyone who may be reading this review and may be in pain, you have come to the right place. For anyone who has never had acupuncture, and may be frightened of the procedure, don't worry. It doesn't hurt. Not even a little. Several years ago I found TCM Healing Center. I had severe pain in my lower back from lifting something too heavy. After two back surgeries, I can easily over do it, and boy did I. At first I was very skeptical of acupuncture. I didn't understand it, and I was kinda afraid of the whole idea. When you're in pain all you want is some relief. I took a chance and came to TCM. Dr. Lu was awesome. After a few treatments I was out of pain and back to normal. Ahhhhhhh! I remember the first time after my treatment walking to my car trying to figure out why this just worked? To this day I still have no idea why it works, just that it does work! Every few years I end up lifting something too heavy and screwing up my back. Pulled ligaments take weeks to heal. After one or two visits to Dr. Lu I'm on my way to feeling normal again. I did it again a couple a days ago. After several days in pain, I called TCM today at 3:00 p.m. and saw Dr. Lu by 3:30 p.m. I'm feeling 75% better already. It's worth the cost. When I started feeling sore throaty and run down, my friend immediately gave me some of her Reishi King chinese herbs. Within the hour, I was not only feeling better but my head literally felt like it had opened up too! Needless to say, I wanted to know where to get these magical capsules. I cannot say enough positive things about TCM Healing Center. Dr. Jing and Dr. Lu have solved major issue for my husband and I. They are also kind and attentive and do not dismiss your complaints. Dr. Jing first resolved some "female" problems I was experiencing and made my menstrual cycle so regular it started on the same HOUR every 28 days. She then helped me through mastectomy and chemotherapy for breast cancer. My surgeon couldn't believe I was ready to leave the hospital after 3 days instead of the regular 5 days, and I credit my short stay to Dr. Jing's pre-surgery regime. Since then, she has kept my migraine headaches and menopause symptoms to a minimum. Dr. Lu successfully treated my husband for prostate issues. He was on prescription medication and experiencing regular pain. I only have wonderful things to say about Dr Jing. She helped me conceive a beautiful and healthy baby girl naturally. After having a couple miscarriages, I was losing hope and was starting to resent my fertility journey. I started going to Dr. Lim at TCM back in December 2012 to address everything from fertility issues, stress and acid reflux to kidney function, change of life symptoms and sinuses. Though I still have a PCP, I share lab work and any diagnosis with Dr. Lim because I know she's going to target the root cause of the issue to determine a healing plan of action. Dr. Jing is amazing! I first went to her when I was trying to get pregnant, and trying to heal my shoulder from a surgery. She told me we had to do one thing first, then the other, so I went with fertility (always time to heal the shoulder later, right?). I was expecting for it to take a while since I am officially of "advanced maternal age" by Western standards. In fact, I got pregnant on the second month. On my first visit after getting pregnant, Dr. Jing was so excited for me, and told me it would be a girl (I was only 7 weeks). In fact, my 20 week ultrasound just showed that she was right about it being a girl. This is just one example of her "psychic powers" as one other reviewer said. She often can tell what is feeling wrong and what I need help with before I even tell her. She is very intuitive. I am skeptical by nature, but I totally trust her recommendations. And now for the best part of my story: I had a really rough morning sickness nausea-ridden first trimester. Unfortunately I went to stay with my parents (I mean, my parents are great but...) instead of staying where I could see Dr. Jing. So, I suffered through months of throwing up. Now I am back in town and I went back to see her because at 4 months I was still throwing up every day and so sick I could hardly work. She gave me herbs and she "promised" I would feel better in a week or two (big promise, I thought). Amazingly, I have totally stopped throwing up after 4 days! Maybe this is story is a little TMI, but I am just so excited to have found her, and I can't recommend her enough. I wish I had been here the past few months- I would have felt sooner. With regards to some of the concerns raised by other reviewers: 1) Insurance: actually, my insurance does have acupuncture coverage, and the TCM office will give you a form for reimbursement. I end up getting about 50% reimbursed, so I guess it just depends on your insurance. Even without insurance, seeing Dr. Jing would be worth every penny (and take the herbs! -also worth the money even though they taste awful). 2) One reviewer was offended that Dr. Jing told her she was unhealthy. First of all, if you think you are healthy, then you don't need to go in, right? Second of all, I think the approach to health in Chinese Medicine goes beyond whether you are exercising, etc. I don't completely understand the Chinese Medicine philosophy about liver and spleen and energy (I also don't totally understand Western Medicine), but hey - it works. She isn't going to sugar-coat things for you, but she will tell you if she can help, and if she says she can, then believe me, she can. Thank you so much, Dr. Jing!! read more

I credit my pregnancy solely to Dr. Jing and Dr. Lim. I started going to them once a week starting June, 2012 and they said it would take at least 6 months to get me on track. I have PCOS and with that comes the chance of infertility. I always wanted kids so I knew I had to try something outside of Western medicine that wouldn't be so harsh on my body. There are acupuncturists on every street corner, and it's hard to know who is a charlatan and who really knows what they are doing. I heard about TCM Healing Center from one of my co-workers who has been a patient there for over a decade. As I checked out the CVs of the doctors at TCM, I was impressed with the fact that Dr. Jing, Dr. Lu and Dr. Lim are all very highly educated and experienced, and Drs. Jing and Lu have also studied Western Medicine in addition to Eastern Medicine. I've been hesitant to review TCM, as I consider my health my private matter. However, when I saw the slandering review, I felt the need to speak up and share my nothing but 100% positive experience with Dr. Jing and TCM in general. I have been a patient of Dr. Jing's (OMD, PhD, LAc) since April. Dr. Jing is amazing - not only is her background very impressive, she is sincere, caring and kind. She has literally changed my life, and I could not be more grateful to her. It has been a long journey indeed but Dr. Jing told me off the bat that it will take anywhere between 3 to 12 months to see the results. It has taken quite a bit of patience, commitment and trust from my part, but I studied TCM's website (it's a wealth of information!) and read all their brochures thoroughly, and I understood that Traditional Chinese Medicine goes deep into the root of the problem, and this takes time. Popping a pill or slapping on a band-aid would make one feel better right then and there, but the underlying cause wouldn't go anywhere and the issue would keep returning. In all honesty, there were a few times when I started to doubt whether this is working or was I just wasting my time and money. Then suddenly, after several weeks of weekly acupuncture and (yucky!) medicinal herbal teas, I started to really see and feel the benefits. I knew I wasn't quite there yet but at least I felt reassured that this is not hocus-pocus, and we are on the right track. That - and the fact that I really believe in Dr. Jing - gave me the strength to follow through. It took exactly 6 months of treatments to achieve what I was hoping for, and then just a little longer to "seal the deal". Whatever doubts I may have had, they are all gone, for I am a proof (one of very many!) that acupuncture done by experienced Doctors of Oriental Medicine really works. Sure, it's not cheap, and my health insurance doesn't cover a penny of it (weekly $170 includes about 45 min of acupuncture and a batch of individually prescribed herbs). But the way I look at it - this is an investment in my health and well-being, and what can be more important than that?? So what that I've had to cut back on spending that money on shoes or some other stuff that I don't need anyway! If you are thinking about acupuncture - TCM Healing Center is a great choice. The results are up to you - if you give up too soon, there will be no results. If you let the doctors do their work and follow their instructions - and give it time - you'll be amazed. I had my very first experience with acupuncture last week in Dr.Jing's office. I had been referred to her center by 3 separate friends. It was literally my best medical experience to date. I come from a mixed background, half Asian, half European and unfortunately, had primarily followed Western medicine prior to this visit. Dr. Jing was incredibly kind, taking the time to explain things in detail that were very new to me. Her diagnosis was so precise as to almost be psychic. Taking the time to explain each meridian and its effects I felt I learned more about my body and health than I had in all my previous exams combined. She took the time to explain the difference between Eastern and Western practices as well as how the two work together. I had a few physical issues and she pinpointed some emotional stress perfectly. It is hard to describe the sense of calm I felt following the session. I felt "open" and as if I had a new sense of relaxed perspective. A purveying sense of calm. I have had 2 follow up calls to check on my progress and I greatly appreciate the professionalism and thoroughness in each one. The sessions can become costly if done on a regular basis and unfortunately are not covered by most insurance carriers. However, the cost is nothing compared to what most people are suffering through at the hands of the pharmaceutical companies. I am so grateful to have this new path of wellness ahead of me with such an expert and compassionate guide. read more

After spending more than 13K (went weekly for more than 1 year) out of pocket with Dr. Jing and Dr. Lu (my husband AND I both went), we were not able to get pregnant. The only time I did get pregnant is AFTER I stopped going to TCM. The crazy herbs they gave me I felt interferred with my fetrtility meds. After I stopped going to Dr. Jing and after I stopped taking the awful herbs, my egg retrieval numbers tripled. California Fertility Partner's office recommended Dr. Jing and I think for us this was a HUGE mistake. I also went on the crazy gluten free and sugar free diet that Dr. Jing recommended as well. I did everything as she requested by the book (Basal Body Temp, exercise, daily herbs, crazy diet, etc.). Several doctors will tell you that if you don't have Celiac Disease, going gluten free is not recommeneded. Last, I felt pressure to keep going to Dr. Jing as she would prey on my emotions stating to me several times "You will be pregnant in 3 months" but if you stop coming your egg quality will be bad. Unfortunately, I can't recommend TCM at all. I had several friends going to Dr. Jing not one got pregnant while going to acupuncture with Dr. Jing. Update -- Recently, Dr. Jing responded to my post stating her treatment the year before helped me get pregnant. That's absurd because I got pregnant SEVERAL years after seeing her. I don't have any idea what she is talking about?! Seriously, the awful herbs and treatments seem hocus pocus to me. I also felt that the doctor preyed on my emotions and desperation of getting pregnant to suck tons of money out of us. This is just my opinion but I'm sure there's many other opinions in favor of Dr. Jing. read more

I've been waiting to find a good traditional medicine practitioner since I came to America for my long term endometriosis. I came to this place and saw Dr Lim without an appointment( very lucky!). She was very gentle, soft spoken and very knowledgeable in chinese medicine. I must say, she is very good at what she does. My consultation was very long but she was very patient, took my history, checked my pulse and tongue as well as general check up. I ended up having acupuncture and it wasn't one of those hardcore ones I had in china. I went back with some Chinese medicine. I was little worried what I would do once I leave LA and raised my concern. She suggested I could do a phone consultation and she can send me the herbs through mail! I was so happy to hear that! She was so flexible, so generous and have a very lovely personality. I've been taking the herbs on time and so far it's working. I feel much better and more relaxed. I highly recommend everyone to give your selves a chance and check out that clinic. I haven't seen other practitioners yet but I'm very happy with Dr Lim. The doctors at TCM Healing Center should be listed in the Best Doctors register. I have tried many acupuncturists in an attempt to refer patients closer to home, but none provide the consistent high level of healing that is received at TCM Healing Center. I cannot say enough about the TCM Healing Center. I am so glad that I was referred to this place, and I will now use Dr. Jing as my "go-to" doctor for whatever ails me. Dr. Jing is an absolutely amazing healer - in just three months, she has radically transformed my health. I initially went to her for hormonal balancing, which she easily achieved, but I was surprised by how many other things improved - my sleep, my energy levels, my digestion, the strength of my hair and nails... the weirdest thing is that even my vision is better! I am back to wearing my first pair of glasses with a lower prescription because my contacts now feel too strong! I also had been getting chronic tension headaches which are completely gone now too.
