The playground is spacious with separate areas for toddlers and older kids, plus covered sandboxes that are great on sunny days. Though is smallish compares to others, most vendors here are from the area and really friendly! If you go around 3:30 pm, a lot of the vendors even offers end of day sale! And of course, after shopping there is the business area on Main St and Toogood Pond where you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon!

There are vendors for fresh gluten-reduced peach and blueberry pies, COBS bread, organic honey, gorgeous floral arrangements, organic skincare products, assorted deli sausages and cheeses, hot dogs and hamburgers for nibbling on while you peruse the stalls, and of course fresh fruit and vegetable stalls. We picked up a basketful of rainbow-coloured carrots, tomatoes, beans, eggplant, zucchini, and peppers for $5.99. This is a great time of year to pick up peaches and blueberries at the peak of freshness. Everything is fresh and the vendors are friendly and happy to talk about their products. The market is open Sundays from May to October, 10am to 4pm.

The staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Market where you can purchase delicious butter tarts and other hot foods available on site. Admission fee is steep but I guess consistent with other farms these days.

The farm was pretty busy but we went early and it didn't feel too overwhelming because there was lots of space for people to spread out. We decided to get our market goodies when we first arrived to avoid the rush when leaving (pro tip - if you go somewhere busy and there's no line for something you want to do, do it then lol ) Lots of fun hunting for specific eggs in the egg hunt and my little also enjoyed the toddler egg hunt as well. She really like being able to pick her own treat. Super well thought out and organized by the Brooks Farms folks - kudos! We devoured a pancake breakfast with hashbrowns, sausage and real maple syrup - yum! It was nice to warm up in the new barn/event space and my daughter enjoyed seeing the baby chickens and colouring her Easter sheets. We got an order of fries wnd gravy before we left and it was also very tasty. Definitely worth the drive from the GTA! We will for sure return again in the warmer months.

The fact that they are open about the fact that they don't grow all their produce but only work with local Ontario farms makes us feel that we are supporting local growers. Some of the other markets that carry bananas or avocados seems like they are just a small grocery store marking up prices for ambience. You can't do all your grocery shopping here but the flowers and the produce they have is of high quality. And when strawberry picking is going on in the back it is an extra fun excursion with the kids.

Everything is orderly and fresh. Going to buy all my veggies here from now on. RTBF also has a CSA program where vegetables can be delivered/picked up (curbside available) until early November. The portions and variety are amazing! We're so happy to have joined. Price was also very reasonable. Everything is always so fresh and tastes amazing. Our favourite are the cherry tomatoes. I have been eating them like candy! Some CSA items have been in our fridge for over a week and still looking fresh. A weekly letter is sent to give us ideas of what to make or maybe frozen for later. One of the perks of being in the CSA bin program is that admission to the farm is complimentary and we can come back anytime! Perfect if you have kids in the family. They also give you some veggies to feed the animals. Lots of parking. You can park on the grass if the gravel lot is full. Staff are very nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back soon!

York Farmers Market got extra points for being an indoor market that opens year round and from Thu to Sunday. I never get to visit any of those farmer markets that only opens Saturdays. You can find butchers, fresh vegetables, tea shops, maple syrups, cheese and baked goods. Nothing compare to St. Lawrence Market but it doesn't have that touristy feel to it. I hope York Farmers Market will be around for another 50 years... but I won't be surprise next time when I drive by, it will be torn down to make way for more condos...
