Worst service I ever got! Came to get laminated pulp wood planks and couldn't find the colour and size, NO ONE WAS WORKING IN THE ISLE. Finally got a lady to page a lumber worker, the guy finally came, told me to go to isle 25 which was tiles not wood. Didn't even bother to actually help. Who do you guys hire?!? 3.5 STARS This is my fave of the Home Depots because of it's location it's never as busy as some of the ones in Toronto. It's clean, staff are always there to greet you and are walking around the aisles to assist you and I've never encountered the "out of stock" sign on products. They still had lots of Christmas trees when I was here just a few days before Christmas. That would be surprising in any Toronto store. Well stocked and everything clearly labelled and price - is this a dream I've walked into? Prices are pretty reasonable and they have lots of items on sale or clearance at the end of the season. During the warmer months they have their garden centre open with staff there to help you get your green thumb on. Extremely large parking lot helps as you maneuver your big boxes across the lot. read more

I would rate my experience lower if I could! I rent a carpet cleaner bout 4 times a year for the last 20 years from store 7135 (Aurora) I always rinse of the equipment and there's never a problem. On August 13, 2023, that changed in a big way. Ivana/Eva in tool rental had major attitude directly I brought the cleaner in the door. She greeted me with " Well, I hope you cleaned it before you returned it or I'm going to have to charge you. She flipped open the top, stammered a bit (obviously it was cleaner than she thought) and then she exclaimed Look at the hairs but I guess I'll let you off this time. Now, in 20 years i've never thought of cleaning the rollers, I should have but in was never a problem in the past. I walked over looked and yes I could count 5 years. Anyways she looked at the rollers and just went off! At this point i told her she had a lousy attitude and I was going to make a complaint to the Atlanta head office. ! Well, that just added fuel to the fire!. now she was going to charge me $25.00 extra because it wasn't her job to clean such disgusting equipment. I paid it and then had a manager credit my acct. I hope Ivana / Eva is feeling better! She was kind of cute though but had huge anger issues. In 20 years than was really my first negative experience at the Aurora store. Have been using their curbside pickup lately as in person shopping is closed. I dont have access to email on my phone, so I have to call the number listed on the parking sign. No one picks up on the extension listed, it justs keeps ringing. I try to call all of the other extensions in the automated phone response and no one picks up on ANY of the extensions; very frustrating... took about 20 minutes to even get a hold of anyone. Another time I come and the same thing happens (no one picks up the extension listed for curbside pickup). I get out of my car and talk to an associate in the parking lot. They kindly offer to help me and they have the order number communicated to the staff inside. They bring out the items, but forget one of the things on my order. Once I notice I run after the associate before she goes back inside, and she then brings the items out, but tells me that if I get out of my car I need to wear a mask even in the parking lot which is their "policy". I have never seen that at any other store, and that requirement was listed nowhere that I could see in the parking lot (a minor annoyance, but she was not unkind or rude in relaying this to me). - A couple days later I get an email reminder to pickup the order that I already picked up. I try to call the customer service number online and I get an automated response telling me their phone capacity is full and to text the number online. I text the number online and I get connected to an automated associate that doesnt understand my question; frustrating. Overall staff is generally kind/helpful but my experience with curbside pickup orders could have been much better. read more

Came here to buy a mower around October/November because summer items were on sale. The entire section of mowers were moved to the gardening section outside and the area was replaced by snow blowers. They definitely got it moved quick! I went to check a specific mower, a manual reel mower. I assumed they wouldn't be sold out since not many people use reel mowers anymore, but lo and behold only the demo was left. I thought to myself, I didn't come here for nothing and I won't leave without getting a mower. The grass was so long, I kid you not, I could have fed ten hungry cows. So I decided to ask someone and approached this Asian gentleman with a Home Depot vest on. He happened to be the closest, so it's not because he's Asian that I asked him. I said, "I'm looking for a reel mower, can you help me please?" This guy points me outside and said, "those are all the mowers left, so whatever you see is whatever you'll get." In my head I was thinking, "NO @*#&!, I JUST CAME FROM OUT THERE YOU FOOL! " I needed help to look for a SPECIFIC mower, not mowers in general. So this doofus managed to ruin my morning and did not help at all. I decided to ask someone that was more competent and willing to help. The other gentleman I asked did his job properly and actually looked for my requested item. He managed to find the last one and handed it to me, even asked if I needed help carrying it. That is the type of service that deserves reward and recognition, unlike that Asian guy. 0 star for hiring such a d-bag and 2 stars for hiring a great/helpful person. read more

After navigation through the Home Depot site trying to find replacement batteries for my Dewalt drill i was able to find the right battery and the site said 2 in stock. I went to the store today to make the purchase only to find that the one i needed was not on the wall. I asked an employee where the rest were stored and he said what you see is what i got. I proceeded to tell him online it says the store has 2 in stock his reply was "Your a fool to believe that and walked away leaving me speechless. Not only was his grammer bad but this joker was a rude as they come. I am just starting to finish our basement but i WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM AURORA Home Depot from this point on. Somebody really should sit down with this employee and explain that it's the customers that enable him to earn a paycheck . Sadly the option to leave a zero star review does not exist. read more

THINKING OF HAVING YOUR KITCHEN DONE THROUGH HOME DEPOT? THINK AGAIN. In November 2018 I engaged Home Depot in Aurora to have my kitchen refaced and a new counter top installed. Home Depot sent over their contractor/project coordinator from Total Kitchen Refacing Inc of Newmarket and contracts were signed Nov 15 with the expected install to be 3 months later as the best date provided. Even though the website advises no inconvenience for the need to empty out the cabinets I was told I would have to empty out the cabinets completely ...huge job. They also advised that if I was redoing the backsplash, to do it beforehand. The project coordinator also took rough measurements and another guy came at a later time to take more accurate measurements. Here's what transpired to date: Feb 6 - Installer arrives and preps the cabinets for refacing Feb 7 - Installer refaces cabinets. The doors above the stove were the wrong size (too small). He places call to inform home office and we're advised it will be 1-2 weeks for new doors to be shipped. Feb 8 - Counter tops and plumber to arrive. Installer dismantles one small side of the counter top and dismantles the plumbing /sink from the other larger side while we wait for the counters to arrive. Upon arrival of counter tops it is discovered only one can be used...the smaller one. Apparently the mitre/seam on the larger one was loose and not acceptable. The installer called home office to inform and re-installed the old sink/tap. Unfortunately he could only install one side as the seal was now gone on the other (not his fault, just an old leaky pipe). I called the project coordinator to vent about both the doors and counter top and to expedite their arrival as I had flooring installers coming in for the adjacent living room. And that my entire kitchen contents were inconveniently spread out over my entire living room. And how many times do I have to move my appliances back and forth? How could they get the doors wrong when TWO people measured them?? They suggested it wasn't their fault...rather it was the supplier further suggesting how could they anticipate the counter top issue? No apologies, no offer to rebate some of the small fortune they charged to do a tiny kitchen...it is what it is. Oh, but that the replacement counter top was to be ready Feb 15 now. TODAY IS FEB 15 AND I AM EVEN MORE LIVID!! I had to chase down the company and sent email yesterday to confirm time of arrival today. Very unprofessional that they did not reach out to me first. I was advised that the counter top has NOT arrived (again the suppliers fault and that they only informed at the last minute) and it is now scheduled for next week Feb 22 oh but the doors are apparently on their way. Oh yay. SUMMARY: AS OF TODAY i STILL DON'T HAVE A COMPLETED KITCHEN YET THE COMPANY HAS TAKEN MY MONEY WHICH WOULD BE UNACCEPTABLE FOR ANY OTHER COMPANY IF THEIR WORK WAS INCOMPLETE. First, I just want to say the installer was terrific and very professional. The cabinets that ARE completed look great thanks to his expertise. He went over and above with the installation. And I appreciate his leadership in not accepting poor quality materials just to get the job done. Overall, very disappointed with the lack of professionalism from TKR, their lack of care for customer satisfaction and their inability to deal with their supplier issues. I now see from their website reviews this is not the first incident. Would have thought they'd have learned from past experiences. 1) Disappointed as well about a seam in my cabinets. I have a cabinet face that is 7 feet long. Because they don't have sheets of product that big they had to use 2 which is fine but they used a strip of material that is 2 inches wide and juts out 1/2 inch to cover a flat seam that is a hundredth of a millimeter. Although it color matches it's very noticeable. I'm sure I was told a seam might be required when the initial visit took place however I'm also certain I would have insisted it look as seamless as possible. Sub par product 2) Recommend if you are redoing your backsplash to wait til AFTER the install as there were some nicks during my installation. Nothing I can't repair but suggest you save yourself the inconvenience of having to redo. 3) Ensure plumbing stays in place until quality of product can be verified. It's been an absolute inconvenience to work with 1 sink. 4) Recommend you ask the Home Depot in your location who their contractor is. If it is the same as here, go to Lowe's or Reno Depot. I know for a fact TKR does not do Lowe's installations. Perhaps all kitchen reno companies have issues but if I were to do it again, I'd rather go with the devil I don't yet know. Staff are usually helpful and the store is always clean and decently organized. Good garden centre in the summer as well. Can have issues with special orders and pick-up as some managers are always "busy"... read more

Bought 10 cedar trees (briefly) from Home Depot in Aurora, On. Paid the cashier and went to rent a van to get them home. After the rental associate played games with me (ha hah - such a funny man), I showed him a receipt for the 10 trees that I bought. "I don't want trees in my van." Wtf? Then wouldn't let me rent the van because my insurance is listed under my spouse's name. Returned to cashier for refund. She says I can return the trees but get a price guarantee; but, only at Customer Service. Go to Customer Service and the associate has no clue. Get a senior who says, "No can do in the trees." So, never going back. Lots of competition at Lowes, Canadian Tire, and Reno Depot. Home Depot is a waste of my time and effort. read more
