We had such a wonderful family visit to Willowtree Farm! The admission is free, making it a perfect budget-friendly outing with young kids. Our toddler loved seeing all the animals, especially the goats, bunnies, and peacock. The playground is spacious with separate areas for toddlers and older kids, plus covered sandboxes that are great on sunny days. The farm market and café were a lovely bonus with delicious baked goods and drinks. Don't forget to check out the adorable mini grocery carts for kids! Fabulous farm & store that includes a bakery and butcher shop as well as fresh produce. Beautiful ambiance with shelves, fridges and freezers filled with farm to customer offerings. Clean and bright, staff are so friendly and welcoming; it is at the higher end price wise in a few cases but worth every penny imo. Willow Tree Farms is an adorable farm off the side of the road. The rustic market is the perfect place for fresh farm goods. It is the perfect place for family to spend an afternoon. There were lots of organic produce and farm animals the day we visited. My 78 year old father loves feeding rabbits. It was fun interacting with animals during our visit. read more

Went to the Nathan Philip Square and found another place selling bakery good, so why not I went for their macadamia nut white chocolate cookies. It was pretty good. Not too sweet. Lots of nuts and chocolate. You can tell they make it fresh. Definitely much fresher and better taste than the average grocery baker ones. Price is very reasonable. I got a pack and I ate more than half of it (when it should be one per person in the team..., but the guys will not fight me) Give it a try if you are there. read more

This trip - how can you say no to fresh asparagus, oh and butter tarts. baby potatoes, home made salsa, and pre-made frozen entrees (pulled pork enchiladas) rounded off the visit. Prices were similar to premium grocery stores however - considering the sustainable farming practices, super fresh ingredients, and community farming initiatives, well with every penny! I've been to many farms and this place is so cute and the layout is very nice. Not too extravagant, it has a very authentic farm-feel. The food and gift shop is a tad over-priced IMO, but for the experience and to support a local business, I don't mind paying the price. My son and I went at the end of September to pick some strawberries and everything from the tractor ride to the tutorial at the strawberry fields was very informative and enjoyable. The only suggestion I'd have is better signage for purchasing tickets for the tractor ride and berry picking. We weren't quite sure where to go until we wandered around aimlessly. My son spent a good 20 minutes in the strawberry fields but the real fun was at the little kids area where they had live animals and a corn box. The corn box was a huge hit! There were communal toys and it's just the right size for kids to play in. I love how they set up the picnic tables close by so I didn't have to be right by the corn box while watching my kid play. As for the staff, they are very educated and kind. I loved their friendly attitude and smiling faces! It really makes you feel at ease when the staff at any facility is warm and welcoming. They were so eager to answer all my questions and they were being bombarded by another family but still handled it with grace and kindness! I love it! Can't wait to go back. read more

In this day and age when we are trying to eat healthier and get away from fast food, places like Willow Tree Farms are a welcome source of local, sustainably grown fresh produce and even meats from naturally raised cattle and pigs raised on site. It is always such a fun shopping experience to arrive at Willow Tree after a short scenic drive to Port Perry and to be able to have a feast for the eyes with all the colourful array of fruits and vegetables. They also often have samples of some of their cheeses or baked goods, which are very tasty. Their apple pie is one of the reasons we come here. They sell Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares of fruits and vegetables, and beef as well. They have a fabulous food stand on the property with delicious burgers, sausages and sandwiches. Finally their petting zoo is a great attraction for kids and adults alike. I saw the cutest bunnies I've ever seen at Willow Tree Farms. Looking forward to their re-opening in June after extensive renovation to enable year round opening. (38/100) read more
